Birthday wishes for a special friend

Everyone, do you remember my friend Diamond?  He is a very handsome kitty and today is his 16th birthday!  I don't think many people know that it is his birthday so would you please go and say hi?

I know he would appreciate it.

Also, he has word verification on his blog so if you can't leave a message, put it here and I will pass it on to him.

Sleepy Saturday

It has been a crazy week with the weather here.  We had lovely sunshines on Monday and Tuesday and then massive winds with heaps of rain!  I have stayed inside since it started raining as I do not like to get my furs wet.



I know you will all be relieved to know that a foster home has been found for Bronzy and Slash! They'll be going to stay with Gypsy and Tasha's mum, which is great news.

Urgent assistance required!

Friends, I know it's been a while and I promise to come back with actual photos of me soon, but right now some friends of mine need help.

Slash and Bronzy are Melbourne kitties like me.  Their mum is from Singapore and needs to return home temporarily to deal with visa issues.  She does not want to uproot Slash and Bronzy for a short time and have them fly to another country and be in quarantine for what may be only a few weeks.  Do you know of anyone in Melbourne who might be willing to foster Slash and Bronzy for 1 - 3 months?

If their mum ends up having to stay in Singapore for much longer, then she would arrange for them to fly there too.

We don't have the space and Teddy would go ballistic if there were another two cats in the house, otherwise we'd take them here.  Can anyone help? 

Happy Easter everyone!

Hi everyone.  I know I have been away for a while but my secretary has been super busy and has not had time to help me blog.  I'm still getting ham to eat, though, so that's good news.  Thank you to everyone who has left me messages wondering where I am.

Anyway Teddy and I want to wish all our friends and families a happy Easter, and don't forget, chocolate is not for cats!

I would like to thank everyone for coming to my birthday party!  I had a wonderful time and it was lovely to see so many friends, old and new, help me celebrate.  I have been trying to get round to visit everyone but my blogging assistant (mum) is being somewhat useless at the moment.

Thank you all once again for helping me party so hard to turn eleven!

Power of the Paw needed

Unfortunately Kodiak did not survive his surgery - the specialist discovered that his C2 and C3 vertebrae had been fused together, probably from birth, and on Friday the disc ruptured so badly that there was no chance he would recover.  His hu-dad made the difficult decision to let him go.

I am heartbroken.

You all know my friend Kodiak from the Thundering Herd, right?  (If not, why not?  Go over and say hi!)  Well Kodiak and his housemates were on a camping holiday last week, and on Friday he suddenly collapsed as they were taking a walk.  The vets at first suspected a stroke, but it could also be a spinal tumor, or an embolism.  He is currently under 24 hour care at the vet.

Since the vets do not know exactly what is wrong with Kodiak, could you all please send your best purrs and good wishes to him?  He needs to get better fast!

Thursday update

The pupparrazzi around here think they're pretty good, but they still managed to cut my ears off in this photo!

I would like to thank everyone who contributed to my commentathon. I got lots of comments (although I didn't get anywhere near 1,000) and my parents are going to donate $100 to the RSPCA. Thank you to everyone who commented, and mentioned me on their blogs to encourage others to come and visit! My friend Bernadette from Tales of Tails also got 26 comments on her blog post about my commentathon so we are counting those in the total as well, which means we got 205 comments in total! That is pretty good, I think.

Mum says we have to take the rest of this week off because she is busy (hmpf), so I will be back next week! I still have more Ask Huffle questions to answer, so look out for them in the near future.

Also, I said I'd send a little present to the 100th commenter who was... Auntees!  Please email me so I can find out a bit more about you.

Wow.  1,000 posts.  I never thought I'd make it.  I would like to thank every single one of my friends for helping me get here - without your questions and encouragement over the past few weeks (and years since I've been blogging) I never would have made it!

Friends on Friday

It's been a while since I've done a friends on Friday post, so after our big housekeeping effort last week, I thought I'd show you one of my newer friends.

This is Tober.  He is a library cat!  Tober is the boss of the Thorntown Library in Indiana.  He rules over Assistant Boss Karen and many Assistant Assistant bosses, although his staff is getting smaller as he keeps firing them for major misdemeanors like forgetting to mention him in staff talks, not getting extra catnip, and other serious matters.

Anyway if you have time, please go over and say hi to Tober.  He's pretty cool.

p.s. mum says she is "working on" updating my friends page.  If that means sitting around looking at shoe blogs, then she is indeed working very hard.

Merry Christmas!

I would like to wish all of my wonderful friends a very happy Christmas!  Spare a thought for all the pups and kitties who don't have a wonderful home like we all do; maybe you can get a new brother or sister after the new year!  I hope you all get some great presents too, like some ham or chicken.

As you can tell, there was no way I was posing for mum in a santa hat so she had to use the magic of photoshop for my card this year.

Emergency post

Could every cat and dog and goat and hamster please go and visit my friend Pablo?  He has just been admitted to the emergency room with an urethra blockage and his family are very worried about him.

Friends, could you all please drop in on my friend Diamond and say hello?  It's his 14th birthday today and he hasn't had any visitors to wish him happy birthday.  I know he would appreciate it greatly.
