1972 Aston Martin V8

I took this photograph at Foulstons chicane during the Inter-Marque Championship Race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's Autumn Historic Car Races meeting at Oulton Park in September 1993.

It's Gerry Marshall in his highly modified 1972 Aston Martin V8 with the 5,240cc engine. The car following him is Bob Watson's 1990 Porsche RSR.

JDC Inter-Marque Championship Race, Oulton Park 1987

I took this photograph at Foulstons chicane during the Gordon Russell Furniture Inter-Marque Championship Race at the Jaguar Drivers' Club's meeting at Oulton Park in April 1987.

Leading is the Jaguar E Type of Malcom Hamilton followed by the Porsche Carrera RSR of Gideon Hudson and the Aston Martin V8 of Mike Cousins. Bringing up the rear is Richard Chilton in his CAS Motor Sport Porsche 911 Carrera.

1973 Aston Martin V8

This was one of the competitors in the AMOC Aston Martin Championship race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2002.

It's Arthur Thurtle's 1973 Aston Martin V8, with a 5,340cc V8 engine designed by Tadek Marek. Introduced in 1969 as the DBS V8, 4,021 cars were produced between then and 1989, the name changing in 1972 to the Aston Martin V8 and eventually to the AM V8.

This car was produced from 1969 to 1972 as the Aston Martin DBS V8, and from 1972 to 1989 it was known simply as the Aston Martin V8. It was powered by the 5,340cc Aston Martin V8 engine designed by Tadek Marek and a total of 4,021 examples of the car were built. The two photographs above were taken on the approach to Old Hall Corner.

This car competed in the Gordon Russell Furniture Inter-Marque Championship Race at the Jaguar Drivers' Club's Cheshire Cats Trophy Meeting at Oulton Park in April 1987.

It's Mike Cousins' Aston Martin V8, a car that was produced from 1969 to 1989 with a 5,340cc fuel injection V8 engine. Originally called the Aston Martin DBS V8 and marketed alongside the straight-6 Aston Martin DBS it became simply the Aston Martin V8 when production of the six-cylinder car ended in 1972.
