Friday's Ferrari

This was amongst the many Ferraris at the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017.
It's a 1984 Ferrari 512 BBi and is the last of a line of Berlinetta Boxer cars designed by Leonardo Fioravanti that was introduced in 1973. The Berlinetta Boxer cars have a flat-12 engine designed by Giuliano de Angelis and Angelo Bellei with the original one, powering the Ferrari 365 GT4/BB, having a capacity of 4,390cc. In 1976 the flat-12 engine was increased in size to 4,943cc for the Ferrari 512 BB, and in 1981 the four triple-choke Weber carburettors were replaced with Bosche mechanical fuel injection in the BBi.

Friday's Ferrari

This car took part in the Cottage Furniture Inter-Marque Championship Race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's Autumn Historic Car Races meeting at Oulton Park in September 1992.
It's described in the programme of the event as a 1982 Ferrari Boxer, entered  and driven in the race by Michael Millard of Birmingham. Its correct designation is a Ferrari 512BBi with a 4,943cc flat-12 engine and is the last of the flat-12 engined cars, 1,007 being produced between 1981 and 1984. It's pictured here during the race at what looks to be the approach to Lodge Corner.

Although not displayed on the car, the programme says that the registration number of the car is J7648, meaning that the car is registered in Jersey.

Friday's Ferrari

This car took part in the Cottage Furniture Inter-marque Championship Race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's Autumn Historic Car Races meeting at Oulton Park in September 1992.
It's Michael Millard's car and is described in the programme of the event as a 1982 Ferrari Boxer. It's a Ferrari 512 BB, of which 929 were built between 1976 and 1981, or a Ferrari 512 BBi, of which 1007 were made between 1981 and 1984. If the date in the programme is correct then it should be a 512 BBi. Four Competizione cars were built, but their barchetta.cc record doesn't show that it was one of those cars. Interestingly, the programme shows its registration number to be J7648 which is a Jersey registration, although Michael Millard's home town is shown as Birmingham.
