Friday's Ferrari

This is one of the Ferraris I photographed at the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017.
It's a 1991 Ferrari F40, one of 1,311 produced between 1987 and 1992. It has a twin turbo 2,936cc V8 engine with two overhead camshafts per bank and four valves per cylinder. The F40 was apparently the first road legal production car to break the 200mph barrier.

Friday's Ferrari

This is one of the cars I photographed at the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017.
It's a 1989 Ferrari F40, one of 1,311 produced between 1987 and 1992. It has a twin turbo 2,936cc V8 engine with two overhead camshafts per bank and four valves per cylinder.

I've shown photographs of the Ferrari F40 twice before, on 23 November 2012 and 10 May 2013.

Friday's Ferrari

Seen in the Ferrari Owners Club area at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1995 is this Ferrari F40. The F40 was apparently the first road legal production car to break the 200mph barrier. The car behind it is a 250GT SWB.

Friday's Ferrari

Today there's two examples of the Ferrari F40 photographed in the Ferrari Owners Club area at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1997. This 2.9 litre V8 mid-engined car was produced from 1987 to 1992,  replacing the the 288 GTO and in turn being replaced by the F50.
