1936 ERA R7B

This is a photograph I took at The Vintage Sports Car Club's Richard Seaman Memorial Trophies meeting at Oulton Park in June 1969.
It's the 1936 ERA R7B of Dudley Gahagan and has the 6-cylinder inline supercharged 1,980cc ERA engine. This car was originally built for Arthur Dobson with the 1,488cc engine and was owned by Dudley Gahagan from 1960 to 1998. It has since been returned to its original colour of white with a chrome plated radiator.

1936 ERA R7B

I took this photograph at Britten's chicane during a short Scratch Race at the Vintage Sports Car Club's Boulogne and Hawthorn Trophies Race Meeting at Oulton Park in June 2006.
The leading car is the 1936 ERA R7B of Paul Mullins which has the 6-cylinder inline supercharged 1,980cc ERA engine. This car was originally built for Arthur Dobson with the 1,488cc engine and was owned by Paul Mullins from 2002 to 2014. The following car is the 1937 Riley Falcon Special of Robert Cobden which has a 4-cylinder inline supercharged 1,496cc engine.

ERA R7B

This is one of four ERAs that took part in the Richard Seaman Memorial Historic Trophy Race at the Vintage Sports Car Club's meeting at Donington Park in June 2008.
It's Paul Mullins in his 1936 ERA R7B pictured in the pit lane during a practice session. The car was originally built for Arthur Dobson with a supercharged 1,488cc straight-6 engine, but here was powered by the 1.980cc engine. After WW2 the car passed through various hands, Paul Mullins owning it from 2002 to 2014, but the longest ownership was that of Dudley Gahagan who looked after the car from 1960 to 1998.

ERA

I took this photograph at Redgate Corner during the VSCC Historic Seaman Trophy race at the VSCC's SeeRed meeting at Donington Park in September 2007.
The 1,980cc supercharged 1936 ERA R7B of Paul Mullins is leading the 1,500cc supercharged 1936 ERA R10B of Paddins Dowling. Following are the 1,492cc supercharged 1938 Maserati 6CM (#1556) of Sean Danaher and the 1,496cc supercharged 1936 Riley Falcon of Pete Candy.

ERA R7B

This car competed in the Brooklands & Goddard Trophies race at the VSCC's Hawthorn Memorial Trophies Race Meeting at Oulton Park in June 2008.
It's Paul Mullins' 1936 ERA R7B, originally built with a 1,488cc supercharged straight-6 engine which by this time had been replaced by the 1.980cc version of that engine.
Here's Paul Mullins during the race at Britten's chicane.

On 20 April 2016 I showed a photograph of the car that I'd taken at Donington Park in 2005.

ERA

This car was one of the competitors in the VSCC Historic Seaman Trophy race at the SeeRed meeting at Donington Park in September 2005.
This is Paul Mullins' 1936 ERA R7B and was one of ten ERAs taking part in this race. The car was painted white and with a chrome plated radiator when it was built for Arthur Dobson, but at one point in its history it was painted red.
