Cambrie chose to start her Birthday off with pancakes for breakfast.

After school some friends came over to play with her and Tatum. They thought it would be fun (still not sure why) to color on their faces with marker. Apparently this was Cambrie's idea, that or someone else (probably Tatum) was smart enough to figure out that the Birthday Girl was less likely to get in trouble. At any rate, the pictures speak for themselves.

I especially like the yellow mustaches. They didn't really show up in person, but sure did in the pictures.

Cambrie chose hot dogs and rice-a-roni for dinner (interesting combo) and we had chocolate chip ice cream with magic shell for the appetizer. She thought it was pretty great that she got to eat ice cream before dinner. Of course that didn't stop her from eating 5 helpings of rice-a-roni. It was a great day. And by the way Cetaphil cleanser works wonders getting the marker off, even better than make-up remover.

We're so grateful for Cambrie in our family. She's such a thoughtful, bright and generous little girl. I am constantly amazed by how grown-up she can be. As I've said before, "At the rate she's going, she'll work me out of my job in no time!" I'm thankful for her silly and playful side. It's times like the marker incident that remind me she's still my little girl.
