Cambrie's Class Christmas Party!

Cambrie's Class also had their Christmas Party Friday. They did a Readers Theater then had centers with all sorts of activities.
Here she is with a friend making corn husk ornaments.

Here they are eating some of the many treats they had at the party.

Getting help from their teacher Mrs. Eskeli making their ornaments.

Ward Christmas Party!

For our ward Christmas Party we headed to the Bagley's for sleigh rides and tubing. The kids had a blast. They even got to try out their new tube they got for Christmas (a little early) and they loved it. Here are a few of the pictures.

Tatum would only ride with Cambrie!

Jake couldn't get enough of the tube and would go over and over again all by himself, but had a hard time pulling the tube back up the hill.

There was a tractor tube there and the kids would try to see how many they could squish on it.

Tatum's Christmas Program

Tatum had her Kindergarten Christmas Program on Friday. She did a great job singing and playing their instruments. She was so proud of herself. What a cutie.

Mom's Helpers!

Monday was our cleaning day, trying to get ready for our Holiday company. The kids were so great to help. They mopped the entire floor for me. Here they are starting in the mud room. They also did the bathroom, laundry room and the entire wood floor. I worked on bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming while they did the floor, and worried a bit what the end result would be, but was very pleasantly surprised to see that they did an amazing job. Even better, the next morning Tatum asked, "Can we mop the floor again?" I think I've got some permanent helpers.

Cambrie did awesome. She put their hair up, sleeves up, and put aprons on Tatum and Jake. She also made sure that every spot was cleaned.

Tatum's Dance Recital

Tatum has been taking ballet this year and recently performed in her Christmas Recital. Her class danced to the song Sleigh Ride. I think she's addicted to the stage, because for several days after she kept asking if she could perform her dance again.
Here is Tatum's class with their teacher Whitney.

Here they are on stage after the final bow.

Cambrie's Big Day!

Cambrie chose to start her Birthday off with pancakes for breakfast.

After school some friends came over to play with her and Tatum. They thought it would be fun (still not sure why) to color on their faces with marker. Apparently this was Cambrie's idea, that or someone else (probably Tatum) was smart enough to figure out that the Birthday Girl was less likely to get in trouble. At any rate, the pictures speak for themselves.
I especially like the yellow mustaches. They didn't really show up in person, but sure did in the pictures.
Cambrie chose hot dogs and rice-a-roni for dinner (interesting combo) and we had chocolate chip ice cream with magic shell for the appetizer. She thought it was pretty great that she got to eat ice cream before dinner. Of course that didn't stop her from eating 5 helpings of rice-a-roni. It was a great day. And by the way Cetaphil cleanser works wonders getting the marker off, even better than make-up remover.

We're so grateful for Cambrie in our family. She's such a thoughtful, bright and generous little girl. I am constantly amazed by how grown-up she can be. As I've said before, "At the rate she's going, she'll work me out of my job in no time!" I'm thankful for her silly and playful side. It's times like the marker incident that remind me she's still my little girl.

Happy 8th Birthday Cambrie!

Happy 8th Birthday. . .
again and again!

Here is Cambrie on her REAL Birthday - getting ready to head off to school.
I can't believe she's already 8 years old! Boo hoo!

Here is Cambrie blowing out the candles on her giant chocolate chip cookie the night before. Aunt Monica, Uncle Jason and Abby were visiting, so we decided to celebrate a day early.

Here is Cambrie celebrating at her Grandma and Grandpa's house over the Thanksgiving break.

And here she is again on her big day with the treats she took to school. Chocolate chip cupcakes with chocolate chip cookies on top of them. If you haven't noticed, this girl LOVES chocolate chip anything.

Crazy Kids!

Here are some pictures of the kids with their cousin Abby. Tatum was thrilled to be getting her picture taken, as you can tell. These are the best of them, so you can imagine some of the faces on the others.

Victor Light Parade

Another year enjoying the Victor light parade and the fireworks. We were surprised that it seemed quite a bit longer this year, or maybe just colder. We love how the parade goes down main street then turns around and heads back. Luckily the Emporium had hot chocolate to warm us all up.

Monica, Jason and Abby were visiting for the weekend.

Taking a dip!

While in Sun Valley for the Thanksgiving break, we took a trip to the YMCA for some swimming fun. The kids love this amazing facility. We got there pretty early, and had the whold place to ourselves for the first couple of hours. It was pretty great.
Jake loved playing in the fountains and going down the big slide.

Grandpa and Tatum. She looks just a bit worried.

Cambrie couldn't get enough of the water slide.
