old friends and good times

Jason has a work project in Utah, so we all headed down with him for a quick trip. While we were there, we were able to catch up with our old neighbors, the Craguns. They even came to our hotel to swim with us.

Swim Lessons in Shoshone.

Aunt Monica lives in Shoshone and while the girls were staying at Grandma's for a few days, she got them into swim lessons at the pool there.  The girls had a great time.  Jake was a little more hesitant, he got in with Aunt Mo, the first day, then hesitantly with Me the second, but would have nothing to do with swim classes.  He did like the shark painted on the fence though.

Taking a dip!

While in Sun Valley for the Thanksgiving break, we took a trip to the YMCA for some swimming fun. The kids love this amazing facility. We got there pretty early, and had the whold place to ourselves for the first couple of hours. It was pretty great.
Jake loved playing in the fountains and going down the big slide.

Grandpa and Tatum. She looks just a bit worried.

Cambrie couldn't get enough of the water slide.

Roy Aquatic Center

We couldn't leave Utah without making a stop at our old stompin' grounds. We hit the mall for some back to school shopping, then treated the kids to some summer fun at the Roy Pool (did I forget to mention we stopped at Cafe Rio for lunch?). . .
When we lived in Syracuse, many summer days were spent at the pool. Tatum only had a splint, so we took that off to allow her some much need pool time, something she has missed out on for most of the summer due to her cast.

Jake was grumpy at first, but after he woke up, we couldn't keep him off the 'froggy slide'

Classic Jake-Man! Happy as ever!

More fun with great friends. . .

It was such a great weekend. All the kids got along so well. Here they are in the tub . . . Jake and his buddy Mason ~ Jason gave them matching haircuts, so just like that, the mohawk was gone. We took a long trail ride on the Rhino and 4-wheelers. Jason and Katie were brave enough to take most of the group.
Quite the load . . . you can even see Hershey's head peeking out.
Mariah, Matthew and Jake had a lot of fun playing together too. Here they are dressing up our chicken Violet~every chicken needs a scrunchie don't they?!

Fun in the Sun!

Many of our days in California were spent soaking up the sun in Nana & Poppy's pool. Cambrie and Tatum had swim lessons many of the days and Jake just enjoyed playing in the water. I'm not sure why, but Jake refused to wear swim trunks, so we had many days of Jake swimming au natural! Thank goodness for sunblock!

Sun Valley

We headed to Sun Valley for part of Spring Break. It was a great trip visiting family and just having fun together. They were so excited to spend time with Grandma, Abby, Aunt Mo and Uncle Jason. The girls enjoyed a ski day thanks to Grandma & Grandpa's generosity.

Cambrie had tons of fun and was even catching air on the snowboard terrain by the end of the day.
Tatum did great too! It was her first time out this season, but she had a great time, and better yet, no broken bones.
Jake had fun just running around and sipping hot cocoa.
We also headed to the YMCA pool. It was hard to keep them off the big water slide. Even Jake wanted to go again and again!

Water Fight!

Nana and Poppy had these great water shooters and we all loved playing with them (even the grown-ups). Here are the kids enjoying the water and the sun!
