KLM Designs Great Father's Day image!

Golf Buddy from KLM Designs Digital Shop is just the perfect Father's Day or Birthday image for that golfing man in your life.
I wanted to keep a more vintage feel to this image so I added an argyle vest which I drew in by hand with my copic micro .01 pen. The image was colored with copic markers and for the sponging I used Tim Holtz Weathered Wood and Denim distressed inks.
I used the argyle cuttlebug folder for the beige band and sponged weathered wood distressed ink on it as well.
I made the tag using the sentiment included in the image download. The images have several sentiments included in the download for easy printing. I made the tag by cutting my strips of cardstock and then I used a tag punch to punch the ends. So easy to make the sentiment tag the exact size and length you want.
KLM Designs Design Team members are previewing some new release sneak peeks beginning today as well as some images that are available for purchase right now. The new release images will be available June 8th so keep checking back all week to see what great images are being offered.
With digital images it's not too late to make that special Father's Day card, you just order and within minutes you are ready to print, color and have that special card in the mail, no waiting for stamps to arrive.
Hope you enjoyed this little Golf Buddy. Be sure to check out the other DT members projects by clicking on their names under the Designers List found on the home page of KLM Designs Digital Shop. The Design Team list is on the right hand side, just scroll down a little :)
Have a great day and see you tomorrow with a preview of a new release image, it's a cutie!

KLM Design Team Announced

Hi everybody:

Just a quick note before I start stamping for the day, I love saying that, now that I am working evernings again I get to play all day!!!

KLM Designs had a DT call and announced the first DT yesterday. There are some amazingly talented ladies on this team and I was chosen too!!!

Check them out by clicking on the KLM Designs link here. There are only a few designs in the store right now but more are on the way. There is something for everyone.

I really like the digital images that you can download and use immediately. I guess I like instant gratification :). You can resize them or print them reversed by using the mirror setting on your printer preferences. Oh, the possibilities!!!

I just wanted to tell you the great news. I am excited to be on this DT. If you follow my blog you might remember Charlie the Clown I did last week. It is so ironic that the clowns are named Carl (which was my father's name) and Charlie (which is my son's name).

I'll be back later with a project for the day.

Charlie the Clown KLM Designs

KLM Designs is having a DT call and I am contemplating applying. They are offering a free digital image and I like to try to use a companies stamps when applying if I can. What do you think?

Isn't Charlie cute holding the little blue bird? This was so fun to color. I added polka dots to the vest with a Copic micro pen .01. The pen was in the goodie bag of copic supplies when I took the Copic Certification class. I love that pen and use it all the time to do things just like this :) That being said, I colored the digital image with copic markers.

I can see myself sending this card to someone who needed a smiley card (one that makes everybody smile), a kids birthday card, or Just Because card.

I sponged the edge of the main image with Tim Holtz distress ink in Tattered Burlap and Broken China. I bought a K and Company matt stack at Michael's yesterday and found this really neat diagonal check paper that matched the colors perfectly. I sponged the edge of that with the tattered burlap distress ink also. I used a second piece of the double sided matt paper and used the backside for the final piece of dp. I had made two cards without any sponging so I was having withdrawals :)

I tied a piece of beige twill tape (it came on a bundle of washclothes that I bought at Target)and tied a bow knot on the far right side. I dug through my antique white buttons and found two that I liked with the dp and tied the brown checked ribbon through the button holes.

Thanks for looking and have a good rest of your day.
