Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.

Hi Everyone.

Gosh well it seems the weather has turned a little and gone backwards after such a lovely few days hey, how easily we all get lulled into a false sense of security and sunshine haha.

I hope you are all having a good week, I know a couple of my lovelies haven't been to well this week so I would like to wish them all better and say I have been thinking of you and sending get well wishes your way.

Well I managed to make a little card with Heartfelt Creations Sweet Lullaby collection for today and i have to say I am so in love with this paper its beautiful and the dies in the collection are pardon the pun to die for , I haven't used one of them on today's card but my goodness wait til you see them if you haven't already.

So here it is, what do you think?

I called it Little angel cos of the tag and well it is actually my daughters birthday today and although she is an all grown up 24 I remember this day 24 years ago as if it was yesterday and I am so proud of her and her brother. So I kind of dedicated this one to her for today even thought its a baby card .

A close up of the picture and all the different papers and the metal sign I added .

Here is the bow with the tiny little nappy pin I managed to find in my embellishment box.

You might just be able to make out the little dummy I added to this corner with another pin too, so cute haha.
Another view, the outside colours are like a damson colour but look black on camera.
Of course I have the full tutorial written up and it is over on the Heartfelt creations website if you would like to pop over and have a read and leave me a comment I would be extremely grateful as always.
Anyway I hope you have a nice Wednesday and I hope to chat with you all later .

Huge crafty hugs to you all.

Love

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Hi Everyone

I hope everyone is having a good week, I am having a very busy one and only have enough time left to blog this and tomorrows posts a head of time before a couple of hours sleep then I am off to visit Creative Expressions. I am looking forward to seeing my friend Tracey and helping her prepare for workshops at Kettering.
Today's card is from this months launch called The once upon a time collection and I love it, it is very me with all the clocks and flowers and the colours are divine.
Take a look at my card.

What do you think
I stamped my image and coloured it in with Adirondack inks and distress inks of course haha. I covered the image with a double sided sheet and micro beaded it then wrapped some of my dusky pink ribbon with a fine gold edge to it around the card which I added onto a piece of the gorgeous paper with the clock image already on, I mounted that onto some plum card and then cream card which I pierced and added onto foam and onto another piece of cream.
I looked in my stash for clock hands and a metal sparkly frame I could put my sentiment in and I was lucky.
I added a bow on top of the ribbon and a hand made flower using the Majestic blooms collection die and stamps too, I also made up 4 of the tiny flower and placed them on top of the image I stamped as that already had flowers on the image so I built them up and used a few leaves from the classic leaves collection too which I snipped apart to use a little here and there. Lastly as always a little bling in the corners and the flower centres and hey presto.
I have a much more detailed description over at Heartfelt Creations today if you would like to come see please do.
Here is some more pictures for you.

You can just about see the Iridescence of the micro beads on the image sparkling a little here.
Another of my flower, bow, twirl combos , I do love making things look pretty like this.
A little closer on the edges and the image, isn't it a stunner.
Ahh, now you can see the little beads sparkling.

A full view as it lays on my desk, I still love plum just as much.
This shows that the flowers are raised and I have added bling to the centres of all the flowers raised or flat  for a change.
Last one. Keeping your pierced edge straight and your matting crisp and straight gives a professional finish to the plainest of cards and makes all the difference when people look at it up close.

I am sorry it has been a little manic these last couple of weeks with winding up things for the Operation Monday and trying to keep to schedule for the companies I design for it certainly has been a bit manic but I will be home the day after my op ( I hope) and with be recuperating and we can all catch up every day and I am looking forward to creating lots of goodies too.

Hugs

Hearfelt Creations

Hi Crafty folks.

I am typing this as once again I can hear drip drip drip on the grey soaking wet path just outside my window, the guttering's slightly over flowing each minute or so causing the loudest splash onto the plastic recycling bins lined up outside houses along the street. This morning it was frosty and the windows of my car were covered in an icy residue that had to be scraped off like dancing on ice skates as they come to an abrupt stop on the frozen rink. ( should of been a writer , what do you think) haha
( And you thought Dyllusions was a ink spray by Ranger or is that delusion's in my case ... )

Today is A Heartfelt Creations  card post for you and It took an absolute age making the flowers for this one, I tend to make a bunch of them and the leaves at a time because they take so long, In fact putting the card together is much quicker then making the foliage, but anyway here it is.

I have no idea why the leaves look a little yellow on the end as they are green with the tips in the same colour as the flowers so it is odd how the colour looks so different. But anyway, the background has Iced snow around the edges and I died the seam binding cranberry to match the Adirondack Ink I used on the flowers. I have also used several elements from the new February launch of  The Raindrops on Roses collection. The die for the leaves was from The Classic leaves collection and the flowers were made using January's Majestic Morning Collection.

Here is a close up of the layering and the flowers and buds I made and the leaves are much better in this one, you can also see all that gorgeous sparkle in the background which I love.

 Here too.
I decided to keep the bow quite small for this one an add a little burlap thread and one of the Creative Expressions flat backed vintage button too.Nestling behind you will see one of the incredible dies cut in half and a small pearl to match added.

This one shows the buds and leaves a little better and of course the papers.

I really enjoy making these romantic feeling cards and the flowers always look so real and amazing when you shape them as I did using water and inks and shaping them with an embossing tool and foam mat to form them just as Emma Lou Beechy the creative director for Heartfelt Creations does in her You tube videos you can find either on their blog or on their You Tube channels this one shows you hoe tiny make a two layered bud with Vellum and I love it.

I hope you enjoy today's post and are having a great week so far, I can't believe we are at Wednesday already, time flies so quickly these days.

Lots of love

Heartfelt Creations with a Majestic good morning to you.

Good morning folks.

How are you all ? This week has flown by.
Well today I have my card I made this week with the Majestic Morning Collection that everyone seems to have loved from all the recent C&C and CHA shows.
I must admit I do too and I wanted to do something a little different with one of the Raindrops on rose's dies for February which is just gorgeous so I cut into the die and changed it up a little, see what you think.

This one is very three dimensional and I used the lovely Majestic Morning die to create all the flowers as you can cut them all out in one single pass, how easy is that.
In the paper pack are all these little messages too which look gorgeous just tucked in a the side.
A close up of the flowers and now you can see how I cut into the very special die.
If you would like full instructions for this one, There is a full tutorial over on the gorgeous Heartfelt Creations Blog along with a lot of the design teams fabulous work which is stunning so have a look and scroll down til you see my card and it gives you all you need to know.

I want to Thank all the lovely people who also joined me in thanking my good friend yesterday she was absolutely thrilled to be thanked that way and I am glad as it came form our hearts ( I know I know big softie haha) anyway it was very kind of you all to join in so many thanks.

I hope you all have a wonderful crafty day .

best wishes

I have had several queries left in the comments so here are the answers.

Karen asked if I could do a tutorial for the card I did with the inks 'Discover your Wing's when hers arrive she can follow it so yes Karen of course I will do that for you this week in stages for you to follow.

I was also asked if I could start a you tube channel and add some video tutorials and the answer to that is definitely I will look into doing that for you guys and getting some things up soon.

Pat also asked about what the backing stamp was in the last card I did, well It was The Rose Background and I have linked it here so you can have a look at it.

Heartfelt Creations Memories.

Hello all thee Bloglanders..

I may be late ish with my Heartfelt Creations Wednesday post but it is here none the less.
I used the truly lovely Sweet Juliet Collection which I just adore. It is one of my favourites so far.
I think my card for this week could easily be used for a number of occasions as I kept it very generic but just by added a few touches you could easily make it a remembrance card or a sweet memory of a day out with a special friend. Anyway without further ado.

Lots of close ups of my champagne bow to tie in the elements and look at that fabulous die and tiny leaves.
I used the lovely Sue Wilson technique of adding micro beads over a piece of the gorgeous Antiquity paper here and did lots of matting and layering. A double bow and four gorgeous flowers and leaves with black brads for centres complete the card, with the raised section in the middle to highlight the memories also in the paper pack. yumminess and the paper is sooo strokeable folks.

If you are out and about this week and wants to buy a craft mag to have a little peruse I have a feature that  I was asked to do for Craftwork Cards  so I have 6 of my Christmas cards using their Christmas post collection which  is very vintage inspired, and even a little piccy on the front cover.(top right) in the circle.
Check it out.

Hope you have chance to see it , have a great week everyone. Don't forget to let me know what you think too.

Best wishes

Heartfelt Creations Sweet Juliet Collection.

Hello everyone.

Well I got up today and who , I repeat who had nicked the warm weather, I mean I know it hasn't been summer for a while now and I know the nights are getting miserably darker much sooner etc but ... Oh my goodness. I thought I was going to have icicle drips from the corners of my eyes and nose by time I had walked from the car park into work... what is going on... Winter you say... Oh no I will not be robbed of Autumn with its rich golds and oranges, with its cascading leaves and children kicking them as they walk by and the steady sound of the leaves gently brushing the windows as they fall from the trees. So I refuse to have these cold and frosty morns until another month of glorious early mornings with pink tinged Sky's and trees shaking off their coats and letting me photograph them in the noddy silhouetted against the pinky orangy sky, the last remaining stubborn leaves clinging hard to be the only one connected to the boughs. ( ooo look at me all writeresque today, I feel all inspired to pen a novel (well a blog page at least haha)
I am a bit late but I want to share with you my gorgeous cards using the wonderful Sweet Juliet Collection from the Wonderful Heartfelt Creations.

First in true Autumn shades is My postcard in bloom.

 The Postcard precut set
Here you can see the lovely little Sweet Juliet flowers made by die cutting and threading the centre hole onto a brad and then threading each loop on to the Brad and then opening the legs to set it. You can see the gleam on the flower and this was ultra tick embossing added over an embossing pen, there is a couple of layers to create the thick random effect in the picture , I used soft gold card for the flower also.

Next I have a beautiful Spring/Summer looking Sweet Juliet.

I wish you could see all the sparkle all over the flowers here on this card.
A bit closer, you can see the lovely little white velvet bows on each stem of the flowers too.
One of the flowers on a matching lilac brad, sooo pretty, over the lace, 2 shades here.

I coloured both these cards with distress Ink on a tile using a water colour brush and blended them , I also used cut and dry foam with the colours to blend into each other and over the edge.

I thought I would add The lovely Emma lou Beechy The creative director for Heartfelt Creations     video link here to the You tube for the Sweet Juliet Collection as I really do find these video inspiring and give you ideas sometimes you may not have thought of and if you subscribe you will automatically receive all the new links and Design team calls etc

I hope you like this Collection, I feel truly inspired when I look through the galleries on Heartfelt Creations web site or on the blog , I have been working with some truly wonderful artists over the last 6 months, so don't forget to vote and keep the artists you feel have entertained and inspired you the most and also vote in the new ladies we certainly have some amazingly talented ladies apply this time. Thanks to each of those for entering and good luck to my team mates and potential team mates should we all stay.

Have a truly great day and take care

happy crafting

Visible Image Sunday.

Hi Folks

Time of the week for me to add the card I made for my post for Visible Image for my Sunday weekly post. I am having a lovely time creating with these gorgeous deep etched stamps. I hope you get a chance to get some and try them out for yourself.
I am hoping you are all going to Birmingham NEC to the big craft show coming up in November and if you are come to the stand and have a good old look at the stamps and see how wonderful quality they are.
Anyway without further ado.. Here is my creation today.

I used the wonderful new sentiment stamp , it is so lovely and right up my street.
  • Firstly I took an A5 piece of white cardstock and  Vintage photo distress Ink and randomly stamped the crackled Background all over the page just randomly, I didn't have the stamp on an acrylic block at all, I just inked and dabbed all over til the page was covered.
  • Then I took Rusty hinge,Wild honey and Peeled paint and randomly added it to the page.
  • I used the Bronte border with Black Versafine ink and again added this randomly across the page.
  • I took the Imagine Dream,Inspire stamp with Perfect Medium and added it in three places on my background but you must make sure all your Distress is completely dry and heat set or the embossing powder will stick to the other ink. I also stamped The small Dragon fly randomly with Brown Versafine in just three places on the background.
  • I used white to Emboss the Imagine set. I then tore the edges all around and roughed up the edges on my Distrezz it all tool and then inked all the edges to make them nice and dark. I rubbed perfect medium on the edges and poured over gold embossing powder and heat set.
  • I stamped out the  beautiful inspiring main focal stamp 'Create with your soul' with Brown and black versafine inks mixed on the block. And tore all the edges again and distressed , inked and embossed them in gold. I wrapped a piece of black crochet ribbon to the edges of the  I added foam to the back and added it to the main card.
  • I stamped out the small dragonfly stamp. twice and using a quickie glue pen I dotted the glue all over the wings and added white Glitter snow, its a lovely fine glitter that sparkles as it catches the light.I added him to the one
  • Lastly I added my little black stones to opposite corners and the bling down the body of Mr D,fly.
These are all the fabby stamps I used on this card.

On another note Please do not forget to pop over to HeartfeltCreations and vote for me
to stay in if you haven't already. I really do like to be on the team and Need your votes
to remain so this will need to be done as soon as possible now please, just click on the link and you can vote for me and also the new team could do with your vote if you know any of the new peoples work.

One other piece of news that I can share at the moment is if you get a copy of Simply cards and Papercraft magazine this Month , out on October 10th , there will be a rather large feature for Craftwork cards and I have several of my cards from their Christmas post range in the mag.
Also Creative Card making mag out on 15th November will have a feature with a card of mine in this time too.
I would like to say a huge welcome to the new ladies that have signed on and please comment when ever you can and let me know which of the Artwork displayed catches your attention , I love to read your comments and see that I am on the correct path so please let me know what you think.

Have a great day today as it will be fab weather apparently(if not blame the BBC) lol
and I will will post Monday for Craftwork so see you all soon.
