Manor in France

Good morning Friday, good morning dear readers.

Light Locations is a photographic location agency providing beautiful, inspiring lifestyle locations to the film/TV and photographic industry. One of their featured properties is this magnificent residence in France which dates back to 15th Century. It is called Manoir des Rosiers. If you like period homes with rustic floors, stone walls, marble fireplaces, antique furniture, exposed beams, well the works, then this post is dedicated to you.

This foyer is gorgeous. The floors seem to be original and I love the Mora clock.

The petite glass cabinet won't last long on the small table with rickety legs! Look at the hand painted wood settee!

My grandpop used to have a glass dome clock like the one on the mantel.

I would have straightened the lamp shade. Look at that trunk! Beautiful!

Bathtub and washbasin in the bedroom. Typical of old homes.

Yet another tub in a bedroom.

Residence in France

Happy Labour Day to all of you! Today I'm going to show you a home on the west coast of France in Le Bois, Poitou-Charentes. Typical French style with antique furniture and chandeliers. I think the kitchen looks especially Frenchy, doesn't it? Come and have a look.

Long Island Summer House

Friday is here at last and I'd like to show you this summer house. Big sunny rooms and so symmetrical. Maybe not the outside but inside it seems I could draw a line in the middle of these photographs and I'd get a mirror copy on each side.

Love those exposed beams. I counted 16 pillows but I'm sure there are more out of sight.

Four square tables put together serve as a big coffee table.

Glass top table in the foyer adds to the symmetry of this photograph.

Loving the way the cups and dishes are displayed here. The mismatched painted wooden chairs work well here.
Happy weekend!
