21 January 2017 (Saturday)

In the morning, five of us started our road trip.

Wong Hung Ping (Bintangor Rojak)

Our first stop was eating famous rojak.

The sauce of rojak made the rojak so delicious.

Glory Café (Sarikei)

I see this before because my friends posted prawn noodle in coconut in social media. I just knew that it looks special but did not know the taste.

When eat the prawn noodle, it is so yummy with the tom yam. For me, the tom yam is not too spicy.

I am the person who seldom eat tom yam but when eat for this prawn noodle, I feel in love with it. High recommend you to try!

We ordered prawn noodle and vermicelli in coconut respectively.

The coconut pudding (RM 7) is small in size compare with the one in Labuan.

Big prawn noodle in coconut RM 37
White prawn noodle in coconut RM 28

For those dislike tom yam which is quite spicy can order for kampua.

Inside of it has sell handmade mochi which has many flavors such as peanuts (RM 5.60), green tea (RM 5.40), black sesame (RM 7.50), pandan (RM 5.40) and red bean (RM5.40).

The time I went, mochi just leave flavors of peanuts, sesame, green tea and pandan. I bought peanuts and pandan flavors. Mochi taste good. I prefer peanuts than pandan.

Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum

21 January 2017 (Saturday)

Many years ago, Lau King Howe Hospital is very big. Now Lau King Howe Hospital just maintains one block of it for museum purpose.

Lau King Howe Hospital was built in the 1930s as the first general hospital Sibu. Its founder, the late Mr. Lau King Howe, donated his personal wealth to set it up. In appreciation, the colonial government named it Lau King Howe Hospital.

One of my friends was birth in this hospital. When small, he always came to this hospital when he was sick.

This was my first time to visit medical or hospital type of museum.

The entrance for this museum is free of charge.

Inside of it can see much old equipment which used by doctor long time ago. That time the technology is not as good as now so it mostly is big in size.

Beside that you also can see the uniform for the nurses for that times which is quite beautiful.

You will find out this museum is quite interesting with the equipment exhibition in it.

Taman Bukit Aup Jubilee Park

20 January 2017 (Friday)

Taman Bukit Aup Jubilee Park is near with 1 Malaysia Culture Village so can pay a visit to these two places.

In park has lots of fishes, you can buy some food for fish at the counter. Remember not to bring your own food to feed the fish.

I thought that Taman Bukit Aup Jubilee Park is just a normal garden. Who know, inside of it has hanging bridge.

In the park can try for jungle trekking which is so fun. I think it's only take around 30 minutes to reach cottage.

Went up on the stairs of cottage, you are at the top of the park which can enjoy the view of Sibu.

It has Lotus Lake which can see more leaves than flowers, maybe now is not the season.

Eat In Sibu 2017: Part 3/3

This part has western food and night market.

Pause Café

Our initially planning is going to Full House to enjoy the steak as it is closed so we changed to Pause Café which is same row with it.

We ordered Mixed Platter (RM 45.90) which suitable for 3-4 persons. We were so full after finished it. Inside of the Mixed Platter have spaghetti, chicken chop (Maryland & black pepper), beef ball, nuggets and French fries.

This is steak ordered by my friend.

The menu for the café as below:-

Pause Cafe
No.3, Ground Floor, Ulu Sg. Merah 35B2
(lot 8978 Blk 6 Seduan L.D)
Sibu, Sarawak

Full House

The Full House was opened after we pay for second visit. Same as its name, the shop is always full of people. Luckily the time I went, it still has a seat. Many people come here for the steak because it is big in portion with cheaper price.

I ordered BQ sauce chicken steak (RM 8.90) which has 2 big pieces of chicken, beans, salad and French fries. The French fries are so crunchy.

Night Market

At night, I went for night market at Jalan Market.

This night market has stalls which managed by Chinese and Malay. Malay stalls usually have grilling.

The Chinese version Apam Balik or griddle pancake is so crispy.

In night market can see many people sell buns, sui mai (steamed chicken dumplings) and many more.

Even pig’s meat also was selling at the night market. Cool!

The advertisement for this shop is so funny. It said that “boss is not around so cheaper sell”.

After night market, my friend brings me to Chinese New Year night market. At there has fun fair.
