Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairytales again...

Er gaat niets boven even wegdromen, even jezelf terugtrekken in je fantasiewereldje, want daar kan immers alles? Toen ik vanmorgen een beetje aan het opruimen was in m'n hobbykamer, kwam ik een prachtig plaatje tegen van een elfje en ja, nou is het nog steeds een creatieve chaos boven, want hier moest ik iets mee maken natuurlijk ;-) Ik ben altijd al dol geweest op sprookjes, fantasieverhalen, heb m'n eigen verhalenboek gemaakt, een wereldje gemaakt waarin elfjes en bloemen de overhand voeren. Het dromerige papier van Echo Park (Dreamcatcher) vond ik hier uitermate geschikt voor:

When I was cleaning out my craft den this morning, I came across a beautiful fairy image and yes, you've guessed correctly: it's still creative chaos upstairs, for I simply had to make good use of this lovely sweetie of course ;-) I've always had a huge fondness for fairytales, fantasy stories, so I made my own story book, a small world in which fairies and flowers dwell. I really loved working with the papers from Echo Park (Dreamcatcher), they were so suitable for my book:

Angel Kisses

Er zijn momenten wanneer je iemand een engeltje wilt toesturen, gewoon om te laten weten dat je iemand lief vindt of omdat iemand een beschermengeltje kan gebruiken. Ik heb voor mijn zus, zwager en twee nichtjes een engeltjeskaart gemaakt om hen een veilige terugvlucht toe te wensen vanuit hun vakantiebestemming. En dit engeltje vond ik daarvoor perfect. De nieuwe paperpads van First Edition zijn zó mooi, ik heb dit prachtige papier hier dan ook meteen voor gebruikt! Dit kleine elfje vliegt graag in het bos en heeft daarom ook bladvleugeltjes.
There are moments when you would like to send someone a little angel, just to let that someone know that you love him/her or because someone can really use a guardian angel. I made this angel card for my sister, my BIL and my two nieces to wish them a safe flight back home from their holiday destination. And I thought this angel to be absolutely perfect. Don't you just love the new paperpads by First Edition? They're truly gorgeous and I used those papers for my cards here. This sweet little fairy likes to fly in the forest, hence the leave wings.

Bloemen en elfjes, kan het dromeriger? Vroeger als klein kind liep ik in de bossen al te zoeken naar elfjes en kabouters (en nog!), kon me hele voorstellingen maken van hun huisjes, van die gezellige knusse woninkjes, met mostapijtjes en heerlijke bloemengeuren. Toen ik dit elfje (Fairy Donna) dat Teresa van My Crafty Heart heeft getekend voor het eerst zag, wist ik direct voor wie ik iets zou gaan maken, mijn twee nichtjes Gwynn en Phoebe. Ik heb de elfjes twee maal afgedrukt, waarvan ééntje gespiegeld. Da's ook meteen het leuke van digitale afbeeldingen, je kunt ze spiegelen, vergroten, verkleinen, net wat je wilt! Overigens worden er in de webshop van My Crafty Heart nog veel meer prachtige elfjes aangeboden, zijn jullie er al eens wezen kijken? Zeker doen, want ook de papierlijnen zijn beeldschoon! Ik heb mijn elfjes lekker in de bomen laten schommelen aan een bloem, precies zoals ik me dat voorstel in het bos ;-) Op de takjes nog wat flowersoft. En ik ben niet de enige die dol is op Fairy Donna, ook mijn teamgenote bij My Crafty Heart, Sue, heeft deze week een prachtige kaart met haar gemaakt!!

Flowers and fairies, can't get any dreamier, can it? When I was a little child I would run around in the forest to look for fairies and gnomes (I still do!), envisaged complete villages with cute little houses, moss carpets lying on the floor and the smell of flowers coming out of the chimneys. When I first saw this sweet fairy (Fairy Donna), which is hand drawn by Teresa of My Crafty Heart, I  immediately thought of my two lovely nieces Gwynn and Phoebe. I printed the fairies twice, I mirrored the image as well. Now that's the fun part of digital images, you can either mirror, enlarge or scale them any which way you like! By the way, you can find lots of other beautiful fairies in Teresa's store My Crafty Heart, did you have a look already? Please do, because that's not all there is, you will find the most fabulous paper packages and the finest of embellishments! My fairies are swinging from a flower stem, exactly as I imagine their lives in the woods ;-) I used some flowersoft for the branches. By the way, I'm not the only one who adores Fairy Donna, my teamy at MCH, Sue, has made a gorgeous card with her!!

En ik werd afgelopen week ook nog blij verrast met deze prachtige tag van Tracy, die ze speciaal voor Valentijnsdag heeft gemaakt, beeldschoon!! Nogmaals heel hartelijk dank!!!

Flower Fairy

De lente is weer begonnen! Heerlijk, de bomen zitten vol prachtige bloesem, de vlinders dartelen weer in de tuin rond en als je héél goed kijkt, zie je bij de vijver een elfje zitten dat haar gietertje bijvult met sprookjes. Ik was er nét op tijd bij om een foto te maken :-)
Voor de bloemen heb ik o.a. Spellbinders and ponsen gebruikt, op de vleugels zijn diverse teksten gestempeld. In het waterkannetje zitten de sprookjes verborgen...

Spring has finally arrived! I love watching the trees bursting into full colour again, butterflies are fluttering by in the garden and if you take a really close look there's a flower fairy sitting by the pond filling her watering can with fairytales. I barely had enough time to take her picture :-)

For the flowers I used Spellbinders and punches, the wings are covered with stamped texts. Inside the watering can fairytales are hidden...
