Not Quite My Size

Good Afternoon

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors,

Well today I celebrate my 65th Birthday, as its Monday I will
be over at my Mums for the morning and this will be the
first time in years that I get to spent time with mum on my birthday.
I know she is looking forward to that, so I think a bit of cake has
to be the order of the day, sod the diet LOL.

Now down to business!!!

Welcome back for another challenge over at
 Dream Valley

The challenge runs every fortnight , posted every other Monday.

The theme for this fortnight's challenge is

Feeling Blue/ Use The Colour Blue
and we are sponsored this fortnight by
We would love you to come and join in

Please Remember - Only 10 Challenges including Dream Valley
can be entered and you must link back to our blog.

The lovely ladies  over at Dream Valley have created some
fabulous creations for your inspiration, so why not pop on
over to the  DREAM VALLEY blog and have a peep.

The image I have used is Image 923, You can purchase it HERE
please forgive the photo I don't know why they are showing up
dark as when I take them they look fine. Sorry.

DETAILS

1. Using a 7 x7 card I matted a quarter of it with embossed
dotty card.

2. With my Tonic square dies I die cut two out of blue card. I
then added a doily between them and a piece of blue
crochet ribbon across them both. They were then adhered
to the base using foam tape.

3. The image was printed out and coloured with Copic and
then die cut using Tonic Elegant Ovals, before I removed
it from the die  I used Pan Pastels over the background.
It was then mounted using foam tape.

4. The flourish was cut with a Tattered Lace die and again
I used Pan Pastels to colour, this was then added just
under the image frame,

5. Still using the Elegant Ovals I cut the sentiment tag
and added the word using the Tattered Lace Alphabet.

To complete I added an assortment of blue flowers from my stash.

So come on, lets see what blue creations you come up with.
Remember it can be anything you choose as long as it
uses the colour BLUE.

DETAILS

1. Using an 8 x8 card I have matted it with pink pearlescent card
that has been embossed.  The patterned paper panel I have
created by using distress inks. This panel was then adhered
to the pink card but before it was stuck down I added a
white ribbon to hide the join.

2. The image was printed onto super smooth card and coloured
using my Copic markers and then I distressed the edges.

3. The flourishes are by Tattered Lace and  the flowers were
made using the SB die Blooms Two and cut out of paper
that had also been created like the panel using distress
inks.

To complete the flowers I added Nuvo crystal Drops to each
centre.

I have never made my own backing paper before using inks
but I must say I am quite pleased with the effect and will
most likely try this technique again with different colours
of inks.

Looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations over

The wording was generated (first time of use, hence why the letters are

Spots or Stripes

Good Morning

My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Well back from my holiday and back to reality, had a lovely break and
nice and relaxed.  Will share more later.

Its time again for another challenge  over at Creative Craft Cottage Challenge Blog

Our theme for this fortnight is:-

SPOTS  or STRIPES

We have two sponsors for this challenge and they are

Prize = 2 Digi Image of Winners Choice

and

Prize =  3 Sets of your choice

We have more new  design team members who are waiting
to show you their creations along with the rest of us.  They have
created some stunning work, so please show us your support,
pop on over to the challenge, take a look and most importantly
we want you to play along and have some fun.

My first card has been made using the image 1960's Lady
from Rick St. Dennis. You can purchase her by clicking on
this link

DETAILS
1.Started  with a 5 x 7 cream card and rounded the edges.

2. Using paper from my stash I decided to use both spots
and stripes. I wrapped a pink spotted ribbon across
both to conceal the join before adhering it to the card.

3. The image was coloured with the following Copic's
Skin E000,E00.E21,E11,E04, R20
Hair Y28,YR23,Y21,YR31
Dress RV06, RV14,RV13,RV21
Shawl  Y17,Y15,YR15
Lips RV06
I have left the stole across her shoulders white and
used glitter all over it. Glitter was also used on
the feather at the bottom of the shawl.  I have used Adirondack Lights
Pink Sherbet ink around the edges and then added glitter.

4. The image has been cut using Tonic die Elegant Oval Layering.
I then took the next size up in these dies and cut out using
silver mirri board.  This was then adhered to the image frame.

5. The two flourish swirls were done using the Tattered Lace die
and the flowers using Blooms Two from Marianne flower die.
The flowers were done using the left over paper and then glittered.

To complete I added the sentiment Birthday Greeting.

My Second card has been made using the Dress Form Template
from The Cutting Cafe, Link is HERE.

DETAILS

1. I decided to create a shop front for this card by using
two A4 card and a template that I have had for a few
years.

2. The images are supplied with the tailors dummy and
sheets of dresses, skirts and tops. All are white ready
for you to colour as you wish.  I decided to keep with
the theme for the cloth's.

3. One the images were coloured I fuzzy cut them ready
to go into the shop front.  I used paper from my stash
as the backdrop then placed the three images into
each window. To make the window look more
interesting I used peel off's (Yes I said peel off's those
long forgotten little items) and added Hats to the dummies
shoulder bags and shoes. Even little necklaces around the
dummies necks.

4. Again I have used white peel off borders around the window
frames to add more interest.

The sentiments are also included within the kit I think there are
around nine different ones on one sheet.

I have added another picture  showing the shop front from a
different angle, to show the depth of the window.

Well my Friends, I do hope you will join our challenge
and looking forward to seeing all your spots and stripes
designs.

Prize 3 Images

My card has been made using an image from Sponsor
Drawn with Character and is a cute little owl. You can purchase
it HERE

DETAILS

1, Card size is 8 x 8 and I have matted it with paper taken from
the collection by First Edition called Paper Flowers. It was
one piece and I have cut it diagonally and used the reverse
image on the bottom section. To cover the join I have laid
a piece of Blue straw roll from The Works.

2. The backing for the image has been taken from the new
Polkadoodles Cd Twiggy & Toots which I opened up
in MCS and then took the image and placed it as if
he is sitting on the branch. I then printed it onto super
smooth card. Once printed I coloured the image using
Copic's and then added some 3D Gloss finish to the
eyes.  Using a cutting edge from Tonic's new die
Art Nouveau I cut out the image and scene. I then
went around the edges using Pan Pastels to soften them.

3. The flourish's are from the  Tonic die Royal Fern and I
have coloured then using pan Pastel.

4. The image was adhered using foam pads and before
it was stuck down I added two blue feather from my stock.

To complete  I  added the sentiment cut from the Tattered Lace
Birthday die and again using Pan Pastel went over the whole
sentiment.

Please visit our challenge blog and take a look at the stunning
work created by my team buddies, as they really do work
hard and leaving a little comment can brighten their day.

was printed out onto super smooth card stock.  I have coloured
it using my Copic's. Once coloured I  cut it out using one
of the new Tonic dies -Art Nouveau Layering Die Set.
Another layer was cut out of black card and then adhered
to the first die.

3. Again using the smaller dies in the set I cut two and
then the sentiment was stamped into the centre.

Sitting Pretty

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Happy 1st of May to you all, maybe now the weather will start to pick back up
but don't hold you breath.

How are you all doing today, ready for the long weekend?

Usual today for me I'm afraid, off to mums to carry out my domestic chores
then back this afternoon  hopefully doing some crafting.

Today's card has been made using one the digi images that I won from
Holley and is again one of Sherri Baldy's Bestie images, which I love

A Big thank you to Holley and I hope she likes what I have done with her.

DETAILS

1. Started with an 8 x8 pink card and matted it with paper from
the paper pad Rose Garden from First Edition.

2. Next layer was a panel of White Spider Net. On top of that
I added a heart shaped doily.

3. The image was printed onto super smooth and coloured
using Copic's and the die cut with a circle die from SB.

4. With the next size up circle die, I used another piece of
paper from the same pad and then mounted the image
onto this at an angle.

5. The outer frame is from Tonic and before adhering to the
image I coloured the edges with Pan Pastels.

6. The butterfly borders were created with the Joy die
Butterfly border and cut out of White Pearlescent card.

7. The lace roses were cut to length to create a border down
the side. I then added a silver butterfly and three gems.

To complete I made a bow, left long tails and twisted them
before adhering to the card. A heart slider was added to the bow.

I Believe

Good Morning
My Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Well its Saturday, the weekend is here, anything exciting planned? or
will you just be chilling out.

I would like to welcome my newest follower Ladycakes and thank you for
following and I hope I can entertain and maybe bring a little inspiration as
we scroll through blog land.

Today I am sharing a card I have made using the new Eden Cd from
Polka Doodles.  If you like a bit of fairy fantasy, then take a look
at  this cd. I don't think you will be disappointed.

DETAILS

1. Started with an 8 x 8 card and matted it with pink
glitter card.

2. Next layer used was a piece of lilac flock paper that
has been sitting in my bit box for around 4 years
(I am not joking, it was one of those papers that
you just want to look at but not use)

3. The image is a pre- coloured one from the cd and I have
cut  out  the frame again in pale lilac card using the
SB Nestabilities Label 46 but only used part of the die
and I then adhered it over the image to act as the frame.

4. I used the Tonic Butterfly over the edge die and cut
four out of light and dark pink patterned paper
and then adhered these down the sides of the card.

5. The top was created using Heartfelt Creations Raindrops on
Roses die again out the the same patterned paper as the
sides.

6. I have added a lace border along the bottom. The
sentiment (Believe in Love) that has been covered
down the side with mini flowers from Tattered Lace.
I also added the white flourish as I thought it
needed something in that corner.

The flower was made using ribbon with a lilac brad
in the centre and I have used a scrap of lilac
ribbon to create the tails. The pearls were made
using Cosmic Shimmer PVA Purple Violet.

Hope you like and that you will call  back
soon and maybe, just maybe I might have hit 80 Followers
YOU NEVER KNOW.

Well my Friends, that's all from me today.

Until Next Time

1. White  8 x 8 card that I embossed and added black Cosmic
Shimmer Glossy PVA to create the pearls.

2. Next layer was black card, then using one of the new
Tonic Dies I cut the frame out of white pearlescent
card and adhered it to the black frame.

3. Using back card stock I cut the flourishes and flower
and placed them down the side.

To complete I added black ribbon and secured the ends with
small dazzlers. I then created  a box and also decorated
it with black Tonic large corners, flourishes and
flowers. (picture below)

I am not being morbid using black and white but these
are the colours that my friend loves.

Well I hope you all have a pleasant evening, off to do the
blog rounds and catch up on some DT work.

Hope you will call back tomorrow as I will be showing
my DT work for Creative Craft Cottage.

Until Next Time
