And now for this week's TSG Challenge! Our challenge for you this week is to create a non holiday related winter card. You can check out all of the details and find out how you can win a TSG gift certificate right here on the TSG Blog.

This card was completely inspired by my girl Maki (Have you noticed the I gain a lot of inspiration from the Trendsetters?? lol!) and her gorgeous creation made with the new stamp set Craftier Taglines. I kept the layout she used along with the paper piercing and ribbon treatments but changed the stamp set (I used one of the sale sets Branching Out!), colors, DP (by K&co.) and embellishments.

Today is a very bittersweet day for me. My youngest daughter Kayla is now officially four years old. We were taken by complete surprise when we found out that I was pregnant with her (After all I already had a 24 month old AND a 6 month old at the time!) and she has been keeping us all on our toes ever since. She is such a ray of sunshine and definitely the baby of the family and she won't let anyone forget it lol!

The third year of life for my children has been such an amazing transformation to watch! In 12 short months they go from toddler to child. With Kayla it has been a little difficult for me because this officially means that there are no more binkies, diapers, sippy cups, rocking a baby to sleep and all of those other things that I have cherished so much. I will forever miss the baby days of my girls but now I get to enjoy the fun of raising children. (I sure hope that this part takes longer because I am soooo not ready to raise 3 teenage girls lol!) Through their eyes I get to experience the wonderful imagination of pretend play and exploring new places as well as the responsibility of teaching my girls the importance of being kind and respectful, communication and trying to answer the never ending questions that constantly take Matt and I by surprise. And actually Kayla just asked one right now "mommy, who are you texting on the computer?" lol!

So with that, I am off to spend the day with my beautiful girls and celebrate Kayla's first day of being four years old :) Happy Birthday Kayla-Bayla! Mommy, daddy and sisters love you so very much you crazy little monkey!

Stop by tomorrow and join us in our Changing Of The Seasons Blog Hop Challenge. Not only will you be inspired by the Trendsetter's beautiful creations using the Sale sets but you just may win one!

You guys are crazy so how about a sale?

You guys are crazy and that's why I love each and every one of you :) Because of you, There She Goes has (for the first time!) sold completely out of all of the new release stamp sets! I feel bad for those of you that didn't get the chance to purchase these sets when they were available so I'm going to make it up to you.

There she goes will be having a sale until the next stamp release. From today July 16th through July 25th you can receive 15% off of your entire purchase at the There She Goes website by entering the coupon code july09 in your shopping cart prior to check out. Not only that but I have also discounted the price of the TSG Double Stamp Scrubber! I absolutely love my scrubber and use it every single time I stamp and now you can get one of your own for only $7.00! These prices are only good as supplies last :)

Now on to the stamping-

I have been so crazy busy since we've been back from our vacation and I can't even remember the last time I've done an SCS challenge. I decided to do a combo of yesterday's sketch challenge and today's Ways to use it challenge.

The ways to use it challenge was to use the same something twice. I decided to use the same DP twice on this card. That totally counts, right?? If not, I guess I could say that I used the twine twice two different times ;)
The images used on this card are from Let's Get Together for the cup and LOL Taglines for the muffin and are paper pieced instead of colored. All DP used is from My Mind's Eye. I added stitching to different layers using my sewing machine.

See you tomorrow for this week's TSG Challenge and Friday Chat info!! It's been way too long and I can't wait to catch up with you guys :)

WIR winner and a Father's Day card

Happy Monday everyone! I have seen a so many of these beautiful tri shutter cards in the SCS gallery and have been wanting to make one for quite awhile now. I've been a little intimidated because it looks like it would be pretty difficult to make. Imagine my relief when I saw how super easy it is after checking out this great tutorial by Bonnie! I think my favorite thing about these cards is that you can make an almost a collage type layout using many different stamps.
The girls and I made this card for daddy. The only part that I had trouble with on this card is figuring out the sizes of the pattern paper to allow for the card base to show as well. I used a bunch of different TSG stamp sets. I love how well many of the stamp sets compliment each other. There is nothing better than getting more bang for your buck ;) The stamp sets used here are Happy Day, Special Delivery, Rain & Shine mini set, Act of Kindness, Holidays Galore mini set. You can find all of these sets at the TSG Website.

The leaves of the tree were paper pieced using the same paper I used for parts of the card. I then went over the leaves with a blender pen and used Apricot Appeal ink to give the leaves some dimension. The rest of the images are all colored with a blender pen and inks. I had the girls write their names on the little nestie shapes and I wrote daddy a not on the long white rectangle on the right side. I used a lot of dimensionals with the images but I'm sure you guys have already noticed that I'm a little addicted to them by now ;)

Here is what the card looks like when it is closed. Isn't that too cute? I had to put the card in a clear envie because it just did not want to stay closed by itself. If you guys haven't tried making a card using this fold, I recommend that you try it at least once! It's a great way to use lots of stamp sets on one project ;)
