Precious Little One .... DP2 Challenge #120

I've done my first chores of the day .... made hubby a concoction of Whiskey, honey and lemon for his cough/cold (man flu) he has rolling eyes ... (he can't take over the counter drugs for his ailment because of the prescription medication he is already taking), run him a bath with Radox Breathe Easy herbal bath salts and taken Mum to pay her deposit for her first holiday of the year to Eastbourne in April big grin.  I now have just an hour of free time before I'm off to the counsellor to see if I need bereavement counselling raised eyebrows what a performance!  Surely, the GP should know whether a person does or not ... personally I think I don't, maybe I did when he suggested it, but then it was early days ... the only thing I struggle with is "it doesn't feel real" sad  I know Dad's angelgone and I don't expect to see him but it doesn't feel real ... I know it makes no sense at all silly

Iulia, is the hostess for the DP2 Challenge and she's chosen for this week's fun theme...

"Anything Goes" w/ a Mo Image
(Use at least one Mo Manning image on your project)

AND, if you'd like,
a fabulous sketch made by Iulia...however,
it's totally OPTIONAL...your choice!!

Well, I decided it'd be rude not to use the fab sketch .... here's my card ...

Made using the "Baby Bum" image from the "Diaper Crew"

I used it again on the inside of the card in its nude state ....

Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy .... DP2 Challenge #99

We've had a relatively quiet week up to now.  Dad's up and out of bed this morning.  He's not been as sleepy this time and has been getting up every evening for a few hours, but today he's up already!  His appetite is still not as good as at was, but again its better than last time.  We've spent a couple of days just lying talking to one another about nothing in particular which is nice.  Yesterday Mum had me changing curtains for her ... i think my good nature is being taken advantage of PMSL ... she only asked me to do one pair and i ended up doing 3!!!  Mum is off out to the old fogey club this afternoon and as yet Dad doesn't want a babysitter but we're constantly on standby cos he does change his mind quite often.

My gorgeous grandbaby Rylee started school yesterday for the first time.  He wanted me to go and collect him from school ... hmmm ulterior motive, i think ... he didn't want to walk home and knew i'd pick him up in the car!  He wants his Pops to go collect him today!

Now on to this week's DP2 challenge...

Iulia is the "hostess with the mostest" again this week, and she's chosen another really, really fun challenge theme...

"Boy Attitude"

I love this little "Binky Baby" ... he looks like he's looking over his shoulder saying "yeah, and ..."

... i've used him again on the inside with a cute little verse ...

B .. Beautiful Baby Boy ... DP2 Challenge #96

Escaping from my life for a few hours resulted in the card I've made for this challenge.  Its taken me 2 days to complete, snatching a few minutes here and there in between visits to the oldies house.

Dad's been in bed for most of the time since last Sunday.  He had to get up on Wednesday and go to the hospital, a day early because of my big mouth and what at the time seemed a good idea LOL!  With him being so tired, I thought it was appropriate to ring the Chemo Unit and explain he was so sleepy and lacked energy, thinking it might be good for them to send out the District Nurse to take a blood sample that was required on Thursday to check his calcium levels.  However, they decided that perhaps we should take him up immediately, so the levels could be checked there and then as sleepy is one of the side effects of high calcium.  Too high and you can slip into a coma or have a heart attack.  Fortunately, after dashing up there and having the test he was given the all clear for anaemia and high calcium, but told that he now has MRSA!  He has to put cream up his nose 3 times a day and wash with this body wash everyday for the next 5 days!  Is it never ending?

Once again I owe a BIG thank you to my friend Suzie for putting herself out xxx and to my gorgeous friend Paula for putting up with the daily rants xxx Love you BOTH lots xxx

Debbie is the hostess this week...and she's challenged us to make a card or 3D project using the theme...

Feeling BLUE!!
(Use the color BLUE)

I've made this card ready for the birth of our nephew ... Charlie!  He's due to land sometime the beginning of October, but with not having much chance to craft lately, I decided to get it done now.

Papertake Weekly Challenge Sketch #39

Flippin' heck i nearly forgot to post this card on here ... had such a hectic weekend with Scott's birthday celebrations, but everything came together and went well ... the chocolates went down very well. I'd made little gable end boxes and put one of each flavour chocolate in a cello bag inside the box with a party popper! Mine and Andy's chocolates were stolen ... we were told we could eat the ones we had at home LOL!

You should've seen me Saturday morning dressed in my finery, tying helium balloons up and trying to make them stay in a bloomin' black bin bag! Then on my hands and knees painting my sisters toe nails ... green of all colours, whilst she still had her sandals so i only had to do the toe nails that showed PMSL!

Anyhow ...

Sumpin's Wrong

There's absolutely no point keeping photo's of cards on my lappy waiting for a flippin' challenge that they fit, cos its just not going to happen! All that is happening is i'm getting a huge folder of unshown cards.

I'm still addicted to Mo's fab images ... almost as addicted as i am to my leaf punch and my Martha Stewart Flourish Punch ... i have to physically stop myself from using it else all my cards are gonna look the same!

Magnolia update: apparently according to Charles at Magnolia, another kit has been posted out to me yesterday ... lets see if I get this one! Still not convinced the first one was ever posted!

Beth update: She has taxed her car ... text sis last night at 10.15pm asking if she could go home as she's at work today ... sis said "NO" ... Beth totally shocked ... said she needed her uniform, so sis told her to come collect it in the morning when she would be up, wasn't getting up to let her in when she decided to come home! Beth did fetch uniform this morning ... sis stayed out of way cos didn't want a confrontation. Fae rang from work and said Beth been in tears cos one of the girls at work had told her that her behaviour was appauling, she had no respect for her mother and it was about time she sorted herself out before she lost it all!

More important update: Our little Peaches the cat is 19 years old and is very frail and quite poorly now. We are looking into euthanasia for her ... :(

This weeks challenge was to make a card using Katharina's sketch. I'm just loving using sketches at the moment for my card making, they're just less hassle! Fae asked me to make a "birth congratulations" card (i'm sure theres a pattern emerging here!) so I used this sketch to make it!
