Flyin' High!

Every time we think we're throwing you ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ a real curve ball we're generally rewarded with an even-more-than-usually-creative crop of holiday cards, and the "Flying Home for Christmas" prompt was definitely no exception to the rule! Here are a few cards that made us especially happy this time:

Sent Santa up in the most charming hot air balloon we've ever seen (check out those reindeer!) raising our spirits right along with him!

Angela B. of I Would Rather Be Stamping

Cleverly combined Christmas colors and a sweet little bird with flowers and snowflakes, for a card that would get a smile from us any day of the year!

Meg of Bits and Pieces

Perfectly stamped and colored a "clean and simple" card that's as elegant as it is adorable.

Of course it also always makes us happy to award a little random blog candy to one of our fellow card-makers, so let's see who'll be having that super-fun "Reindeer Flight" die cut set then, eh?

Stephanie says, "I love Cardinals ... especially Christmas Cardinals.  I kept this one clean & simple with a wood grain paper base & SRM Sticker sentiment.  Layout is from Less Is More."

Lauren's Other Card

Lauren says, "Ok, I realize I've used my Papaya Art holiday glitter stickers several times this year already... but in my defense, since so many feature lovely little birds, i just found them totally irresistable for this prompt! This time I've paired a lovely label shape with the current Retro Sketch (#61), and used Color Throwdown Palette #240 as additional inspiration!"

Flying Home For Christmas!

This week at Jingle Belles we're celebrating holiday things that fly ... angels, cardinals, doves and yes, even reindeer and Santa's sleigh! Won't you join us?!

Lauren's Card

Lauren says, "Despite having a number of elements, this card came together more easily than almost any I've made all year. Partly because the October Afternoon Miscellany card with Santa's sleigh on it is just sooooooooo unassailably awesome; but then so is this week's Super Sketchy Sunday Sketch from 365 Cards! Easy, peasy!"

Stephanie's Card

Stephanie says, "Peace stamps are my favorite for the holidays, so I decided to use the dove from Peace Window by Stampendous.  I stamped it once in dark brown on the kraft journaling card & a second time on a piece of ivory designer paper to paper piece the dove & stripe on the image.  Papers are from Simple Stories Handmade Holiday & the layout is from Sketch Saturday."
