Happy Easter Everyone,

I am taking time out this long weekend to catch up with family & friends. I know I'll be eating way too much chocolate, I've been taste testing them for days, I'd hate to pass on any that were not perfect to my family & friends bahahahahaha.

Happy Spring - Beautiful Tilda

Hello Everyone,

I hope you have all had a wonderful week. The beginning of September started off beautifully here in Australia with some magical spring weather and it just happens to be my favourite time of the year.  In honour of spring I've used some pretty spring coloured papers and this fabulously magical Magnolia image - Beautiful Tilda, from the Butterfly Dreams Collection. She has been sitting patiently waiting to be inked.

I haven't made an Easel Card for a while, so I thought it was time and I found some gorgeos new papers from Kaisercraft from their Miss Nelly Collection and just adore them. I don't always remember to write down my Copic Colours or include a list of all my crafting goodies, but if you want any info, please don't hesitate to email me.

Tomic Challenge - Challenge 5 - Easel Cards

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We've had beautiful sunny weather, still a little cool, but thank goodness our winters are mild. Happy Independance Day, to my USA Friends.

There's another challenge on over on the TOMIC Challenge blog and this week the challenge is my very favourite, Easel Cards. See Tutorial further down the page.

I've used Tilda holding Daffodil from the
Butterfly Dreams Collection &  the new Swirl Butterfly
& my fave border - Romantic Lace - Doohickey Dies

Hope you will stop by & see what the other Design Team Members have created for you, they are all amazing! Thanks for joining this wonderful challenge, I can't wait to see what you come up with & hope you will join us next week.

EASEL CARD TUTORIAL

My finished card size is 15cm square (6")
supplies needed:
Cardstock 30cm x 15cm (12"x6")
Cardstock -15cm x 15cm (6"x6")
score tool/scor pal
Scor Tape/Red Tape or strong adhesive

Easel Card 15cm square cut 30cm x15cm piece of cardstock - score at 15cm & 7.5cm (6" & 3") vertically - valley fold both score lines.

Embellish card front - attach to card base, I find it easier to close the card, sticking the front to the closed card, it's easier to line up. To hold the card in place, you need to add a button, pop dot or some sort of dimension for the card to catch on to keep it from closing.

They are a lot easier to make than you might think and they come with a warning, they are very addictive. Easel cards can be made in all sorts of shapes and sizes.
To resize all you need to remember is score your card in half and then in half again.
Example of sizes: 12.5cm (5") square
Cardstock 25cm (10") x 12.5cm (5") - score at 12.5 (5") & 6.25cm (2.5")

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day,

I hope all you Mother's out there have a wonderful day. I made this for Mum, we spent the day together doing girlie things. I bought Mum a gift voucher at a beauty spa, we spent the morning being pampered, then off to lunch for a leisurely picnic. I was a little worried about the weather, but it turned out a beautiful warm winters day.

I've had this adorable little Maggie coloured up for a while with copics, Tilda with Flower Pot, also my favourite border - Romantic Lace -  Doohickey Die, and the fabulous new mini papers all from Magnolia. I've had this rolled flower die for ages, but just got around to using it, my Magnolia teamie Kylie inspired me with some of her gorgeous handmade flowers, thanks Kylie. I also used one of my new LOTV sentiment stamps, thanks to my wonderfully generous blogging friend Mandy, I was lucky enough to win one of Mandy's candy's, thanks gorgeous girls.

Stamps - Magnolia Tilda with Flower Pot - Butterfly Dreams,
LOTV - Dreamy Days circular sentiments.
Paper - Magnolia Butterfly Dreams mini 6x6 papers
Dies - Magnolia Doohickey Die  - Romantic Lace, MFT Rolled Flower, Spellbinders corner,
Martha Stewart Butterfly & Basic Grey - Embossing Folder
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts, Petaloo and handmade.

Magnolia have just released some fabulous new Doohickey Dies.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.
