How Building Traffic to the Articles You Write?

Often article marketing is thought of as a direct way to get customers to visit your website but many times you can use traffic generation strategies to build traffic to your articles. Building article traffic will help others to see your information in a different light and the added traffic will often catch the attention of the search engines. Articles that have been posted in article directories often show up on the first page of major search engines when the keyword or key phrase has been targeted correctly.

Article Marketing Builds Faster Through Article Traffic

Getting your article seen is often more important than people clicking through to your website in the early stages of your article marketing campaign. While this seems an odd statement, if you look at the number of views, the number of times an article is syndicated and how often it is referenced you will begin to see that in the long run having first-rate material associated with your name makes for better authority. Building authority with your articles should always be a main objective of why you publish them.

There are several ways to build article traffic and the first one is through telling your friends about it through email and social media. Let people know that you have been published. If you know even the smallest bit about connections then you know that everyone knows someone you do not know and they can spread your message in an ever-widening circle that can and will get you noticed.

Secondly you can use niche forums that your article applies too and become a member and post your article link in response to relevant questions. In fact, you can actually determine what people want to know in that forum, write an article that relates and then post it response. In this manner you get the notice of the members of the forum, the traffic to your article and if you are using forum signature, a back link and some traffic.

The last way to build your article traffic is through relevant blog commenting. By scanning a few related blogs (even competing blogs) you can find people who are asking questions or where your information may come in handy to those reading the blog. Making relevant posts and adding your article link will drive traffic to your article and to your website and the incremental link building comes as an added bonus.

Benefiting from Article Marketing Done Right

Using your ability to write articles and drive traffic to your site can be a powerful source of marketing that has actually made a lot of money for a lot of people on the Internet. Use this talent wisely and make your posts relevant. Do not go out and put a lot of unwanted comments in places that nobody wants to see them. When you join a forum be a responsible member and work with the other members to accomplish the goals of the forum. It is at this time that you will become a respected author and others will begin to see you as an expert worthy of their time.

How to Make a Full Time Income Writing Articles?

Is it possible to make a full time income by writing articles for online distribution?

You bet it is, and I will share with you the five step process on how to do it.

Step 1:

You have to start by producing well-written, keyword rich articles that have wide appeal to the masses. Topics like how to make money online, how to lose weight fast, how to stop smoking instantly, how to improve your credit score, or how to get your ex back will all have wide appeal and attraction for which you will have a ready audience, whereas articles on how to stop toe nail growth will not get you a wide audience to read your products.

Step 2:

Write niche articles that appeal to website owners, bloggers, online marketers, email professionals, affiliate program owners, forum owners, and ezine owners. These people will consume everything you can produce and are a ready market for you to exploit. They will snap up your well written articles for their directories, websites, blogs, and other online tools which will then link up to you and provide you with instant and targeted traffic to your site through your well written resource box narrative. Directory owners will eagerly await your well-produced articles so that they can list them on their directory for others to access. Backlinks to your site will begin to appear regularly and with increased frequency as others continually link to your site. Bloggers and website owners will want to use your articles as content on their sites. Readers will access them and take note of what they say and collect them in a swipe file.

Step 3:

Write articles that appeal to those who have a problem that they need to solve such as how to lose weight, how to stop smoking easily, how to increase a credit score, how to lower cholesterol, how to fight diabetes, or any related topic. Content is king and original content will be snapped up by people searching for an answer to their problems if they feel what you write about may assist them.

Step 4:

Write articles that are pre-emptive of special occasions and address a specific need or solve a specific problem for readers at a specific time of year. For example, write about how to please a woman on Valentine's Day or what to buy her in early to late January so that you pre-empt the special occasion and take advantage of guys seeking to please their woman on that occasion and the products that they will target to do that. Write about the products to buy for a sport's enthusiast just before the Super Bowl in February or in early November write about buying gifts to take care of the Christmas shoppers. Write articles that speak to special occasions. For example you can write an article on what to buy for Graduation Day for the graduate who has just finished high school, College, or University and the products that they could review which carry your affiliate link of course. You can write an article about what to do for someone who has just retired from the workforce and gifts to bestow on them, which, if they buy through your link will earn you a commission. Other examples of special days include Confirmation Day, Bar Mitzvah Day, Wedding Day, and even death.

Step 5:

Write articles that are pre-emptive of the seasonal changes and take advantage of the new buying mood in the economy as seasons change. For example, you can write an article about how to get the greenest lawn in town just at the end of winter when people begin thinking of spring and lawn care issues and products. You can write about the advantages of the latest snow blower just at the end of September as the season begins to change and customers begin to think about winter.

How to Write Content For Content Marketing?

I wish to give you a how-to guide in writing your content so you'll get positive response from your audience. Here's what you need to do:

Choose the best subjects to write. The process will always start by knowing what you're going to discuss. Instead of choosing topics based on your preference, consider the needs and demands of your target audience. Remember, you would want these people to read your content. To make well-informed decision, visit related blogs and forums to know the hottest issues that are being talked about by your potential clients. These are the best subjects for your articles.

Research. Before you start writing, I would suggest that you check out related articles that are already published in the online arena. You need to do this not to copy what's already out there but to figure out how you can set your content apart from the rest. Perhaps, you can write your chosen topics from different angles to make them more interesting.

Choose an attractive title. You can compare the title of your articles to a movie trailer as their function is pretty the same; to get people interested and get them to want for more. Given this, you need to ensure that your titles will do their job effectively. This will happen if they're attention-grabbing or better yet, if they're thought-provoking. At this point, you'll need to give your audience a compelling reason to read what you've written and you need to communicate that through your title/headline. Make your first paragraph compelling. Your readers will start forming impression on your article the moment they read your first paragraph. At this point, these people would want to know if your content is really worth their time and if they should read on until the end.

So, grab their attention and get them on the edge of their seats by making your first paragraph jaw-dropping. Tell these people ahead of time what they can expect to get and highlight the benefits. Use bullet points or number list. Discussing each of your ideas using bullet or numbers would actually help your audience easily digest the whole material. In addition, this will make your content a lot easier on the eyes. Spill the beans. Always remind yourself that impressing your readers is something that is non-negotiable and you can only make that happen by letting them in on your secrets. Let them have some insider tips and offer them with amazing techniques and in-depth information. It is through this that you can earn their trust which is a must in getting them to sign up to your newsletters. Keep it short and sweet. There's a reason why most articles, blog posts, and web content are made short - online users like them that way. So, don't even try to talk about different things when you're writing. Instead, pick a specific topic and stick to it. Then, discuss it thoroughly using 500-800 words.

Tips on How to Convert Prospects to Buyers From Content Marketing

Every internet marketer hopes to convert every visitor to paying client. In order to make this happen, they're using different techniques. Others would offer freebies while others would create a sense of urgency. Sadly, some techniques fall short. If you want something that is truly effective, I would suggest the use of content marketing. It is the process of giving out free information to accomplish 2 things; get your readers to like you and second, to earn their trust which is the most important element when you're convincing them to do business with you.

Here's the truth; nobody will buy based on the attractiveness of your ads. Online users require more than that before they swipe their credit cards. What you can do is to slowly build relationship with them. Find where they usually go when they're online and provide answers to their questions and solutions to their problems.

Here's an example; if you're selling coaching programs about making money through freelance writing, you need to show your prospects that you know the ins and outs of this field. Answer their questions as to how they can get started and teach them how to find their clients. Give them tips on how to avoid scammers and techniques on how they can outshine their competitors. You also need to give them proof that you're successful in this field so you can convince them that you've got relevant experience. Once you've done all of that, you have at least 75% of getting these people to buy whatever it is that you sell.

Below are some content marketing tips to help you convert more prospects to buyers:

Make it fun to read. Sometimes, no matter how informative your content is, people will still not be moved to take action if they're bored or if they fell asleep while reading what you've written. So, write with the aim to entertain these people as well. Write using conversational tone, use humor, and tell relevant stories when and as needed. Also, ask questions and strive to engage your readers whenever possible.

Make it easy on the eyes. You cannot afford to make your content painful on the eyes. Look at the pages of an old encyclopedia and tell me if you're going to read them. You need to make your content readable and scannable. What I mean is that you write using short paragraphs and number list. It is through this that you can get more people to read your content until the end where you'll usually put your call to action.

Easy Ways to Articles That Convert

Article marketing is still one of the best content marketing solutions. The secret to get exactly what you want is writing amazing, exceptional articles. Don't have a clue on how to do that? Then, read on for tips and techniques.

Start by choosing the right topics. You don't necessarily need to talk about rocket science or calculus to impress your audience and to convince them that you're an intelligent person. In order to capture their attention, you need to choose topics that they find interesting or better yet, useful. And in order to benefit from this endeavor, you need to ensure that your chosen topics are related to your niche and that discussing them will help you demonstrate your expertise in your niche.

Offer useful information. Before you start tapping on your keyboard, commit yourself to not just educating your readers but also in helping them out. What I mean is, instead of giving them general information on say, Forex, why not give them a useful guide on how they can go about it. Doing so will not only help you convince these people that you're knowledgeable but that you've got related experience as well.

Outline your thoughts and ideas. Have you ever found yourself stuck not knowing what ideas to discuss next or wasted so much time in the end re-organizing your ideas just because your content doesn't flow smoothly? Well, you can avoid that from happening by simply creating an outline. List down the information that you're going to discuss and just arrange them based on their importance. Creating an outline will also help you limit the scope of your content so you can save time and energy along the way.

Keep it short and simple. Making your articles like boring speeches or lengthy essays will not do your campaign any good. Remember, this is now the time when everything is instant and when everybody is always in a hurry. So, don't waste their time and do not bore them by simply making your articles brief and concise.

Ensure the uniqueness of your articles. There's no way that you can get away with copied content especially now that article directories and Google are using much more sophisticated anti-duplication tools. So, don't even think about copying even a part of other articles, blog posts, and other online resources.

Use conversational tone. One of the reasons why people are reading web articles is because they're much fun to read compare to traditional books and other offline resources. Write as if you're there talking to your readers. Address them using first person pronouns, insert humor when appropriate, ask questions, and tell related stories. It is through this that you can entertain them and put them at ease at the same time.

Why Should You Choose SEO Article Content Writing Packages?

If you are new to building websites and have not used SEO article content writing services before, you might be wondering if you should go for a complete package or just a sample copywriting service. After all the changes in the search engine indexing and ranking in the past few years, you will need a professional, who knows not only the right type of content, your topic, but the tips and tricks of SEO article content writing. You can get articles for literally a few bucks anywhere, but if they do not get you quality visitors, there is no point taking advantage of these cheap offers.

How to Choose a SEO Article Content Writing Provider
Before you choose your search engine optimization content package, you need to first find a reliable and knowledgeable SEO article writer. Indeed, there are literally thousands of services out there, and it is hard to find the right one for your needs. It is always a good idea if you drop them an email before you make a decision, ask about the special customized SEO article packages and request samples. If the company is professional, they would look through your existing website and provide you with some free suggestions. They will also either tell you about the most suitable SEO content writing package, or build a custom-made one for your needs. If you come across a professional SEO article content writer, it does not really matter if you don't know what you need yet.

Which SEO Content You Need
Once you have been given information about the different packages., you will need to choose the type of content you need. Depending on your website, you might need blog posts, informative articles, press releases or link building services. Your site needs to be updated regularly, to rank high for the targeted keywords, and simply adding some optimized SEO content will not make you get on the first page. This is why professional SEO writers will give you a complete strategy, instead of individual prices for pieces of content. If you communicate clearly what you would like to achieve with the article and content marketing service, they can work on your personal goals.

How to Order Your SEO Article Packages
If you are ready to complete your order, you might be better off to ask for a written proposal and the terms and conditions. You can order a monthly SEO article content writing service, as it might take a couple of months to get you the right results. You can save some money this way, too. Another option is to get a SEO package and, based on the results, proceed with the monthly service later. No matter which option you choose, you need to trust the SEO article writer and be patient to see results. Make sure that you ask about guaranteed CopyScape pass and proof of correct grammar. You can only get your site ranked high with unique SEO article content and blog posts published on your site.

Is Marketing Articles a Thing of the Past?

I'm sure we all know about the panda update that Google initiated last year. It was Google's goal to destroy any content that was of poor quality. You've probably seen content online that was rehashed or rewritten. Have you noticed that your articles aren't doing as well lately? The panda update has made things very difficult for online marketers. They are now pushed against a wall, forced to come up with new article marketing strategies. The old ways are dead! It's up to you to adjust to these new changes, if you ever hope to succeed with article writing and promotion.

Articles that once shined in the top ten search results are now being eliminated with ease. But there is good news for you. These article directories are fighting back! They will be conducting new methods of gaining the trust of Google once more. With approval of article becoming much more strict, it's important for you to bend with the times. In fact, you are going to see articles that are much higher quality in the years to come. So, is this the complete destruction of article marketing? I don't think so. You see, I've always written my article to please the search engines. But, if you are currently using old marketing techniques, you must change. You need to adjust accordingly. You can still get great results from marketing articles if you follow these rules:

Write longer articles. Now that the search engines are used to the old ways, you need to write content that is at least 510 words. These articles need to be very useful and extremely high quality. You need to inform your readers with the best information. Gone are the days of rehashed content! If you hope to succeed, people need to love your articles. They need to feel that you have over delivered. In fact, if your content isn't one hundred percent unique to you and your readers, Google will know. This means that you cannot copy other writers work! Google is getting smart, so write 110% original content.

The recent update will ensure that all content be looked at in great detail. In fact, one little phrase that appears to be used somewhere else can trigger the duplicate content warning. And you don't want this to happen, right? One thing that has always stood the test of time, is quality content. This content is king when it comes to driving traffic. So, if you think that you can just write dozens of rewritten articles and see awesome results, you are gravely mistaken! Your articles need to meet the needs of the online users. Google can tell if your content is garbage... and I personally won't let this happen to me.

Trends Online Article Writing in 2012

Well, I'd like to thank you very much for reading this article in my 2012 Trends series. There will be 700 articles in this particular series, and as an online article writer I feel it is most appropriate to start with this one. You see, each and every year as I study all the trends in all the various industries for our think tank, I find tidbits of information, and through a little bit of cross-pollination I can spot how different trends in different sectors and areas of the human endeavor in our present period are slowly evolving.

You see, although many people believe that things change quickly, the reality is things do not change very quickly in any given sector of our economy or in any industry. Rather every industry has three or four significant changes, and perhaps one or two paradigm shifts every decade. The interesting thing is sometimes you never know when they're going to come along, that is to say you cannot know when the black swan event will occur. Having been involved in the online article writing sector, I have seen some trends in this category, and I'd like to discuss them with you.

First, I see that a couple of the top online article directories have banned PLR articles, and any articles created with derivative type software. This will surely clear the debris, and uplift the industry for everyone. There are still a few article authors out there who are putting out significant volumes of articles, albeit often nearly the same, I see this trend as ending, because the readers do not like these types of articles, and neither do the search engines. Therefore, they will not be pulling for online article marketers, so we should see them slowly diminishing along with the individuals who put this debris out on the Internet.

We are also seeing the makings of a new trend whereby article authors take their articles and put them into e-books as collections, selling them on Barnes & Noble or Amazon's Kindle website. I expect this trend to continue and to accelerate. One trend which has been going on a while and is also accelerating is the concept of repurposing articles, using them as blog posts or vice versa.

Another new positive trend which is quite enlightening is how many new article authors who are not writers are getting into the swing of things. They are using productivity tools such as speech recognition software, and the use of templates to speed up their writing, and to improve the quality. Indeed I hope you will enjoy your 2012 year, and I hope you will make it a great one by only submitting top-quality articles and only to only the best online article websites.

Marketing Can Be Made To Be Easy

Article marketing can be a very effective way to promote your website and attract more visitors. Below are some useful tips that can help you maximize your article marketing efforts.

Try thinking of your audience as friends when you write. This method will make readers relax and not feel that they are wading through a formal dissertation intended to manipulate you. Use a relaxed tone in your articles, creating conversation with the reader.

It's important that your content is a clear match to the specific topic. If someone comes to your site seeking information about article marketing and all they see is a page that is trying to sell them something, they will most likely close the site and not return. This is bad business, and can ultimately have negative consequences.

Organization and discipline are important when actively creating content for articles to market. Get everything you'll need together before you start. Committing to a specific time frame daily will provide the gradual but measurable amount of progress toward creating the site you desire to have.

Article distribution services can prove helpful if you want maximum exposure. Your strategy for marketing your articles benefits from the use of this type of service. Outsourcing these efforts can help spread your articles to a larger market. Crunch the numbers and make sure that the service is worth paying for.

Make your article content rich and interesting. Find information for your readers at any trusted website. The best articles will contain information that's not already available from other Internet sources.

There are no real secrets to article marketing anymore. No one holds the magic key to unlocking new territory. Doing your own research can really make a difference. Just note that it's simple, marketing that is handled through any content distribution is article marketing.

Make your articles accessible to your target audience in order to improve their marketing power. Write your articles with accessibility in mind, or you risk your content not being read. Use wordings that are familiar and paragraphs that are short in your articles.

Before starting your article marketing plan, see what's already out there by visiting all of the major article directories and typing in your keywords. This will help the writer's to be effective when marketing their own articles.

Include a brief summary, which should engage the reader to continue to the end of the text. You can do this by asking challenging questions or promising to change someone's life. By enticing the reader to select your article, you are demonstrating the power of article marketing.

Four Best Tips for Marketing Your New or Existing Business

Marketing a business, no matter if it's new or has been kicking around for years, takes a fair amount of creativity. It takes a lot more than just designing a website in a day and submitting it to as many spam directories as you can find. If you want to increase your traffic and find people who are genuinely interested in the product or service you are offering, then you need a unique marketing strategy. The right strategy will get your website noticed by tons of targeted traffic each day.

These are four of the best tips to remember when you begin formulating your own marketing strategy for your business:

Write articles that go viral.

Writing an article that follows all of the SEO guidelines you can squeeze into it is an easy task. Writing an article that your readers actually want to share and pass along to all their friends is a whole different ball game. Get creative. Be conversational and entertaining. Write your article for the readers and not just for the search engine spiders. The readers are what really matters in the end. If you feed them a stuffy article that puts them to sleep, then your content isn't going to get you very far.

Encourage interaction with readers.

You want your potential customers to know that there is, in fact, a person behind the website. Encouraging them to interact with you on the website is an excellent way to create a bond between your business and the customer. Get them to respond to your blog posts with comments (and be sure to respond in kind!). Interact with them on a forum or on social media sites.

Give them honesty and they will reward you with loyalty.

You don't want to give your website's visitors any reason to be disappointed. Instead of blowing their heads full of false expectations, give them honest answers. You want your customers to be realistic when they sign up for your offer or buy your product. If you can't absolutely guarantee that their hair will be lush and luxurious in a month, then don't promise it. This is a fast way to lose the respect- and repeat business- of your customers. Be honest and give them the facts and your customers will keep coming back.

Give, give, give.

Everyone, customers especially, love free stuff. If you have things to give away with a purchase, throw it in the box. If you have an eBook that you can offer for free when someone signs up on your website, hand it over. Give your customers a coupon towards their next purchase and that just increases the chance that they will come back again and again. When you go that extra mile to make your customers feel valued, they will become long-standing customers and spread the word to everyone who will listen.

Online Article Marketing Considered

It is amazing how many articles are out there on the Internet about online marketing. Many of them aren't that good are they? Certainly I'm sure you've noticed as well. In fact, I've seen some article authors who have created thousands of articles on online article marketing worth, just above let's say absolutely nothing, and then they expect the reader to click on the link to come to their website only to get some sort of a splash page that makes the reader put in their e-mail address? Why don't we talk about this for a moment shall we?

Why would someone want to put their e-mail address to get on a mailing list to get more nonsensical information? They wouldn't, and generally they don't, so consider if you will how many people they are turning off, who are clicking out of the website by using this methodology. There is a right way and a wrong way to write articles on Internet marketing, or on article marketing online.

Yes, there are probably four or five things that you might specialize in, and be able to help folks with who are selling goods and services on the Internet, and listing those three items might be relevant for perhaps one article, but not for thousands of articles on the exact same topic, and in that case you're just cluttering up the Internet. How is cluttering up the Internet helping the online article marketing community? It doesn't, and I would submit to you that it is destroying it.

Now then, I suggest what you do is you present articles which contain a challenge or a problem that some online entrepreneur might have, along with the solution that you provide - a viable solution which help them through their issues. Do you ever wonder why very few article marketers are doing this? I don't, I know why, and let me tell you. You see, very few of these people have ever helped anyone increase sales online, they don't have a lot of stories to tell, as they are too worried about getting money coming in rather than actually helping the people using their expert knowledge, or they don't have any real knowledge that isn't already out there. Their big secret is; they don't have any big secrets to help online marketers.

With all the articles on this topic out there on the Internet, I would submit to you there are very few people that can tell you anything you can find on your own by searching online. So what exactly are they selling? Hype, why do you want to buy Hype, and why would you want to put your e-mail address into a website from an untrustworthy source hyping their ability, and unwilling to give you any information of value in the article?

Marketing Computer Software - Can You Compete?

Today, the evolution of online article marketing is advancing and the game has changed. It's not just human knowledge being distributed in this informational marketing motif, but rather it has been turned into a game by folks who care more about SEO schemes, incoming links, and putting up so many articles that they own the category, regardless of the knowledge they have in the industry, or information they give to the reader.

Luckily, most article marketers aren't like that, and rather they deliver on the article titles they create, and give important information to their readers, adding credibility, and valuable content to the array of human knowledge on the internet. But now a good number of article marketers find it difficult to compete with the onslaught of computer generated articles.

The question with Article Marketing Computer Software is; Can You Compete? The answer is yes, and let me tell you why. You see, so far the articles created by these computer programs are less than to be desired, and those who use them for online marketing aren't using the best technology, more like third grade'sih 1996 versions with a few extra algorithmic tricks, but certainly not state-of-the-art.

The good stuff is being used by intelligence agencies to change the narrative online and assist in bringing down corrupt regimes in the third world via online media. However, you can bet that since there is a profit motive here, that one day, perhaps soon these upper-end technologies of article and literary work AI programs will hit the scene in the online article marketing venue, just give it a few more years, and a creative genius to come around and put us all to shame with their massive abundance of volume.

Now then, there have been some less-than-intelligent human online article composers (posers) attempt to use derivative article creation software and take PLR vomit articles or cheaply written articles from India ($1-5 per article) - but the quality of these articles is so underwhelming and so obvious that even with that mass abundance, no one is so impressed. Besides that the top article sites won't even accept them, which is a good thing, and very positive sign.

I have an interesting derogatory term I use for crummy content creation, I call it the "Yawn, Rise" method (a term I coined). First, the articles are so bad they make you "Yawn" as you read putting you to sleep, and definitely nothing that you'd re-Tweet. Secondly, the article composers appear to be brilliant and hard-working and we all watch their meteoric "Rise" in quantity, but under closer scrutiny the quality of course has been left to rot in the sun - and the fast "Yawn Rise" technique they use, proves what goes up must come down.

Marketing Techniques To Generate More Traffic

There are lots of article marketing techniques you can use to generate traffic to your site or blog, these are a few that have generated a substantial amount of traffic for me and resulted in me getting leads consistently.

You will never get people to see your articles and content if you just write an article and post it on your blog or website unless your site or blog has aged and it already ranks high on the search engines.

Even if your site or blog has gained authority over time it can still be hard to get your articles on the first page of the search engines using your specific keyword.

Okay firstly what you can do is write your articles and submit them to free article publishing sites like EzineArticles as an example, if you find the right keyword for your niche that does not have much competition you might be lucky enough that when they publish your article it luckily enough makes the first page on Google, but most of the time this will not happen.

You should have your article posted in at least two places, like one unique copy on an authority site and another unique copy on your site or blog, it is quite possible that you may rank twice on the front page of the search engines with your two unique versions.

So when your article gets published what you need to do now is promote it and get back links to your article, you can get back links from social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and a boat load more that are available.

You can also get back links from other article and blog directories, some of these directories are human reviewed and some are not but either way you should make sure that your articles are presentable.

There are certain tools available some are free and some that you must pay for, but these tools can get you a serious amount of back links and you should use them as part of your article marketing techniques.

The same techniques apply to you even if your site or blog has some authority, you still need to promote your articles and get back links because if you don't you will never reach the first page of the major search engines and even if you do reach 1st page how are you going to get your content to stay there if you do not promote it and get back links.

The next thing you should do when you are starting to get traffic and your business starts to grow is to get other people to write your articles for you, there are loads of people and business that will write your articles for you for a certain fee.

You should look for certain people who can write them for you for about $1 per 100 words, so a very good 500 word article that has good value to it will only cost you about $5, and this article marketing technique is very good because it will free up time for you so that you can continue to promote and expand your business in other different ways and also gives you more time together with your family or whatever else you want to do.

Seven Ways to Write Great Headlines Every Time

Unless your headline stops your reader in his tracks, makes him think, relates to some problem, pain or desire he has you might as well not write it.

How To Get A First Page Spot On The Search Engines?

It is very important to know if you are using article marketing how to get your articles ranked high on the 1st page of Google and the other top search engines.

If you can not get your article on the first page of the search engines for a certain keyword related to your niche then you have just wasted your time.

If your not on the 1st page you might be lucky and get a few visitors to see your article but it will be a very small amount, what most people do when searching on Google for something is they will see the 1st page and click on the first 3 results that show up and maybe wonder down the first page and click on a some of the results lower down.

Overall the 1st page is the place to aim for with your articles, but the first 3 spots are what you should aim for as this is where the highest percentage of traffic visit.

Firstly once you have your article written and you have your keyword that you want to go after.

You should have your keyword in the title, article summary, first paragraph, 2 or 3 places throughout the body, the last paragraph and use your keyword in anchor text links twice in the resource box if there is one available.

After that it is time to either submit it to an authority site like EzineArticles as an example or one of the other free article publishing sites and to your website or blog.

You should always have your articles in at least 2 places and have 2 unique versions of your article so that is not duplicate content because Google won't rank duplicate content so you will have wasted your time.

The next thing to do once your article gets approved is to promote it and get back links, you need to get as many back links as you can, this is the most important part to know if you are using article marketing how to get ranked on the 1st page of the search engines.

Back linking is when there is a link pointing back to your site and the more back links you can get the better.

TribePRO, this is the way forward for getting social media votes where you can auto syndicate people and they can do the same for you and this will get you hundreds even thousand of social media votes in minutes and Google counts this as quality, it really is an amazing system.

There are a few other paid tools you can use but these are the tools I personally use and would not be without.

There's also a fantastic tool you can use for keyword research "Market Samurai" and this is a vital tool that makes searching for certain keywords easy along with a load of other great options it provides.

How to Market Your Freelancing Services As a College Student

As a starting college student, generating credibility or expertise in a given field is an uphill drive. You don't have the little paper with cute calligraphy that guarantees your completed degree, and as such, you are nobody.

Or are you?

Pardon me, folks, but I beg to differ! In fact, if you are majoring in any communications related major, you've got it easier than other college students. Why? For the simple fact that you don't need to worry about the dangers of a miscalculation that could cause a bridge to collapse or prescribing the wrong drug that could kill your patient.

As a communications major-be it journalism, creative writing, film, broadcasting, or even art-the worse that can happen is not having your project turn out as nicely as you hoped it would. And even that is solved by spending a little extra time perfecting the little details of your print article, interactive graphic, or film. Or worst case scenario, re-doing it.

But I'm getting off track. Can you, as an undergrad college student, create an expert platform so as to start generating income? Yes! And I'm not talking about a non-paying internship. I'm talking about marketing yourself!

Marketing, you say? I know, I know...it sounds like such a big, scary word. It really isn't. Here, let me give you a simple definition of what marketing entails:

Selling your services + Getting your name known= $$$

There, now that wasn't that complicated, was it? The real question here is how to get your name out there. Google comes to mind. High page ranks on your personal blog or website. Any of this ringing a bell? It should. We've discussed in previous posts how to get your first freelance writing assignment and how to keep up a professional blog that will in essence become your online portfolio. Now all you have to worry about is generating traffic and getting quality back links to your site.

In order to accomplish this, you will need to focus on 3 things:

1) Blog/Personal Website:

You need to get your name out there. A professional blog and/or website will become your online portfolio that will brand you as a competent worker. Focus on generating traffic, high page ranks, and quality back links to your site.

2) Submit E-zine/Hub Page articles:

Article submission is free and quite simple. Every article can have 1 or 2 back links to the author's personal or affiliate site. Eventually having a number of these out there will help your name to have higher page rankings in Google. And isn't that what we all want?

3) Submit a press release at Prweb.com:

Once you have some freelance experience under your belt (whether freelance work done for a local newspaper or blogging site), you can send out a press release detailing your company services. Because as a freelancer, you are the boss of your freelancing company!

5 Tips for Improving Your Web Page Ranking

There are several ways to improve your page rankings. Here are five of the most popular tips:

1. Conduct research to see where your page ranks

You want to be number one. Take note of your page ranking and who is above you. Go to their websites and see what they are offering or what they have that you don't. Keep in mind, there's always room for improvement and there are many strategies you can implement to improve your page ranking. Use Google Keyword Tool and Google Trends to identify keywords. You might also want to use Google Analytics to track and analyze data to see how people are getting to your site and what pages are performing best.

2. Evaluate your competition

By researching what others are doing, you'll be able to see what higher-ranking web pages have on them, and what you can do to improve your own. In addition to Google Trends, there are two sites that can help you in your quest to discover what your competitors are doing online. SpyFu is a resource for determining the keywords and Adwords your competitors are buying. Google Alerts can help you see what your competitors are doing.

3. Revise your content

Few people like change, but if your website isn't built around how people search, you'll need to revise it. Yes, that's going to cost some money and/or effort, but having a site that is persuasive, branded, easy to navigate, and socially active is key to success in today's competitive market. A good starting point is determining what you want your site to do. Are you directly selling goods or services? Are you using your site to generate leads? Maybe you're only providing contact information. The point is to be clear so that your customers and prospects know what you want them to do.

4. Develop a list of keywords and phrases

This is the list you'll hand to the freelance writer who is providing you with an ongoing supply of fresh and relevant content. When it comes to articles, relevance is critical. If your content is full of useful and current information that delivers what people are actually searching for, then your prospective customers will be more likely to stay on your site and respond to your call to action.

5. List your business

Be sure your website is listed with Google, Yahoo, and Bing. You can hire a company to do this for you, or you can check out www.selfpromotion.com and use the submission tool for free (actually, he would prefer receiving a reasonable donation). You can also create a free listing for your local business on Google, Yahoo and Bing. That way your business can show up on a map when people do a local search.

Seven Things to Consider Before Submitting Your Articles to Article Directories

Article directories are websites that accept and publish articles from the public. Submitting articles to these directories comes with a lot of advantages. You can use them as sources of traffic and back links to your site. In this article we're going to look into 7 things you should consider or do before submitting your article to an article directory.

1. Make good use of the resource box

Articles submitted to article directories usually have a resource box that comes at the end of the article. The resource box is where the writer can promote his/her business and put links to his website. The number of words permitted in the resource box is usually limited so you have to make good use of it.

Always use your resource box to make a strong call to action. The most effective call to action is offering of free report, free ebook or any free stuff. The free stuff you offer must be related to the theme of the article. For example if you write an article on how to make money online with affiliate marketing, you can offer your reader a free affiliate marketing training ebook if they visit your site and sign up.

How well you make use of the resource box is what determines whether readers will click through to your website or not.

2. Number of links in the resource box

Most article directories do not usually allow links in the body of the article. Where they'll normally let you place your links is in the resource box (also called the signature box). The body of the article is your give while the resource box is your take. Some will allow you to put up to 3 links in this place while others will allow only two. Also, most of the article directory won't allow you to link to a particular page more than once (i.e. duplicate links are not allowed). Ignoring any of these rules can lead to rejection of your article.

3. Editorial Guideline

This is probably the first page to read when you visit an article directory. It contains all the guidelines you need to follow before submitting an article.

If you don't want your articles to be rejected or your account terminated, make sure that you read and understand the editorial guideline of all the article directory you register with. The editorial guideline contains information that range from the type of topics that won't be accepted, the number of links allowed in the resource box and many other important information.

4. Can you post your article to other websites?

Most article directories will allow you to republish your articles on other sites. This is called content syndication and there is nothing wrong with it. However, you just have to make sure that you are the sole copyright owner of the article and it contains no plagiarized content.

5. Page Rank

This is an important factor you must consider as you submit your articles to article directories. Page rank is a way Google use to measure the quality of a website and the value range from 1 to 10. The higher the value of a site's page rank, the higher the quality of the site. In order to award page rank to different websites Google use various criteria like the number and page rank of the websites linking to the website in question. So the page rank of a website is determined by the number of sites linking to it and the page rank of those site.

To improve the effectiveness of your article marketing campaign, always submit your articles to directories that have high page rank of about 3 and above.

6. Dofollow vs nofollow links

First, let me explain what is nofollow links and what is dofollow links. Nofollow links are links that have the nofollow attribute embedded in the html code of the link. That is, the link code contains something like this: rel="nofollow" or rel="external nofollow". When search engines like Google come across such links, they won't recognize it as giving any link juice, meaning that the site that link is pointing to won't get any page rank value from the link. On the other hand dofollow links are just the opposite of nofollow links. They are just normal links without the nofollow attribute and Google consider them as adding value to the site they're pointing to.

From the explanation so far, you'll see that it is better to submit your articles to directories that give you dofollow links. This is because writing articles isn't that easy, so you have to make sure that you gain maximum benefit from every article you write.

Most article directories will offer you dofollow links in the resource box. Only a few article directories like articlebase will offer nofollow backlinks in the resource box. Articlebase will offer you 3 nofollow links in the article body and 3 nofollow links in the resource box.

7. Alexa Rating

The Alexa rating is a popular way of estimating how much traffic a website is getting. A low Alexa rating for a website indicates high traffic and vice versa. So in your article marketing campaign you may decide to submit your articles to high traffic directories so as to stand a chance of getting some visitors to your site. To check the alexa rating of any site, go to alexa.com and type in the URL of the site.

Below are examples of high page ranked article directories:

1. Brighthub PR6

2. Selfseo.com PR5

3. Ideamarketers PR5

4. Sooperarticles PR5

5. Articlecity PR5

6. Articletrader PR5

7. Articleblast PR5

8. Articleslash.net Pr5

9. Evancarmichael PR5

10. Isnare PR5

11. Articledashboard PR5

12. Infobarrel PR4

13. Pubarticles PR4

14. Ezinemark PR4

15. Thisisfreelance PR3

16. Goarticles PR3

After evaluating all the points mentioned above, you'll be able to know the best directories to submit your article to for maximum traffic.

Article Marketing Secret

Article marketing has become one of the cheapest and most effective ways of reaching out to others on the Internet. Since the inception of the World Wide Web, it has been almost single handedly responsible for the rise of the online marketer. Giving others something to read while they are at work or home, which may be able to enrich their lives in some way has been responsible for more than its fair share of millionaires. The key is in knowing what people want to read on the Internet, and how to catch their attention.

To do that, you need to know how to write a good article. Articles may seem simple on the surface, but the science behind them is a little more complicated. For starters, what makes for a good print read may not necessarily get the job done on a computer screen. Long, literary feature pieces on local personalities, professional athletes, and famous celebrities, may be great for the magazine or book, but they don't fulfill the right need online.

Attention spans run much shorter online. Usually, people don't want to read more than 800 words in one sitting. If you can get quality material across to the public in less, then by all means do so. For many, 500 words is the sweet spot. But beyond that, your content must not waste verbiage. It has very little time to work, so the things that it reveals must be dished out in a manner that is easily accessible to even the passing reader. Get right to the meat of the matter, and tell people what they want to know without getting too wrapped up in long description.

Furthermore, present the content in a pleasing way to the eyes. If your article consists of only one 500 word paragraph, you are liable to turn a lot of people off. Take that same article and break it up into multiple paragraphs, though, and the same people who are clicking away from you will likely stop and see what you have to say.

The secret ingredient that all your articles should consist of is passion. Without passion, you will come across as a talentless hack. Someone who is just filling a word count to try and attract attention from the search engines. While that may have bolstered your ranking in the beginning stages of article marketing, search engines have grown far more advanced in their selection criteria for the top pages.
