"Southern Family" Album Review
When the Dave Cobb produced compilation Southern Family was first announced, I was expecting an album of Southern songs by a family of artists. This album title was chosen well, however, as both aspects of the title are front and center. The music is distinctly southern. The theme is distinctly family-oriented. This album takes different points of view and explores various aspects of the family dynamic. From the first note to the closing, this album takes you back to your youth and creates an introspective glance at what makes a family. This is what a concept album is supposed to look like.

Miranda Lambert "Platinum" Album Review
Miranda Lambert is back with the release of her fifth studio album, Platinum. Miranda has been one of the few bright spots in mainstream country over the years. Miranda has had the odds stacked against her in two different ways. As men dominate the charts with songs with all flash and no substance, Miranda is a female with deep, introspective songs and she still has success. Platinum is a big project, with 16 tracks to take in. It has its hit and miss moments, but overall Platinum is another great album from one of country’s most talented artists.

10 Best Songs Of 2013
Country music is all about three chords and the truth. While the genre has grown and changed over the years, the whole thing still revolves around a song. Fame is great, awards are awesome, music videos and tours are cool.. but none of that matters without the song. Words and chords strung together to help you relate and feel something. we had some great ones, and here are the ones that 2013 will be remembered for.

Miranda Lambert has released the presumably final single from her stellar album Four The Record. "All Kinds of Kinds" has been climbing the charts for a few weeks now with no signs of stopping. The album has produced some big songs and some serious award show hardware for Miranda. So, with the final release, does she send it out with a bang or whimper into her next album?

The Pistol Annies "Annie Up" Album Review
The Pistol Annies are back for round 2. The all girl trio of Angaleena Presley, Ashley Monroe, and Miranda Lambert made a lot of noise and got a lot of folks talking with their debut Hell On Heels. The ladies are back for more sass, more soul, and more straight up country goodness with their follow-up Annie Up.
