My Time Made Easy Post Release Day and Pretty Palette #63

Hi there!  We are in our post release days here at My Time Made Easy.  Have you seen the new products that were released Friday?  You can see the new products here.  Today begins our new Pretty Palette challenge too, so I combined the new products with this challenge.  How do you combine these feminine colors with camping themed products?  Make happy camper girls cards!

Wouldn't these be cute to send to your girlfriends for a girl's night?  I started with the sentiment from the new Let's Go Camping digital stamp set.  This sentiment has a tent image attached to it, but since it's digital, I was able to crop out the tent image.  I then colored the letters in the challenge colors in GIMP.   Then I printed it out four times on some white cardstock and cut them into fourths for the base of my card.  I colored the Darling Dots digital paper in the challenge colors as well and mounted it below the sentiment.  I added pink and gray ribbons for that feminine touch.  Then I cut out the tents using the new Camping Gear cut file in pink and gray.  I backed it with another tent enlarged to 115% and cut out of white cardstock.  I added some pearls on the tents for a more feminine feel.

Here are all of them together.  So sweet don't you think?
Here are some blogs from both the MTME and Pretty Palette design teams that you'll want to see.

Just Us Girls #139 - Sketch Challenge

Hello my crafty friends!  This week is sketch week at Just Us Girls.  I love me a good sketch, and our very talented and sweet Andrea has a great one that can be a CAS sketch or you can add on more embellishments to make it more.

I went more on the CAS side with my card.  I had some pretty flowers out, but I needed to make something flat so I could send it in the mail.  This one is actually going in the mail!  How many cards do you make and not send?  I have tons!  I started with this pretty double-sided paper from Authentique and paired it with gray cardstock.  I rounded opposite corners of the panels.  The sentiment is and oldie but a goodie from SU called Sincere Salutations.  I stamped it in gray SU ink.  The ribbon is something from my stash that matched perfectly.  I added some silver beads to bling it up a bit.

You should stop by the following blogs to see what the rest of the JUGs design team created.  We also have a new featured designer for the month of June, so please stop by her blog as well.

My Time Made Easy Release Day - A Little Bit S'more

Today is release day at My Time Made Easy and the entire team is posting today.  This month's theme is centered around camping.  We have a turtle template, a vintage camper tempate, three stamp sets with camping images and sentiments, cut files, and paper oh my!!   You can see all the new products here on the MTME website.
So if we have a camping theme, why are you seeing a graduation girl?  Well, the MTME templates can be used in a variety of ways!  Wait until you see what the girls have come up with!  I've been in graduation mode.  My niece is graduating at the end of the month and I've just finished making her party invitations...40 of them!  So I used the Happy Camper template and turned it into a head and placed a graduation cap on it!  I have to admit that I got the idea to use the template as a head from Lauren...she created a wowzer with hers and I just ran with that idea!

I cut the template out of Blush cardstock.  I used a 3/4" punch for the blue eyes and a hand held punch for the whites.  I added some eyelashes and pupils with a black marker.  The smile was created using the handle from the Treasured template.  I just had to cut off a bit of it to get the right shape.  For the cheeks, I punched a 1" circle and used the negative piece as a template to stipple some pink ink on either side of the smile.  So cute!  Then I cut a 3 3/4" square out of purple cardstock (my niece's school colors are purple and white) for the cap.  My niece is graduating with honors and will have a gold tassle, so I added a gold tassle and attached it to a glittery gold brad.  See how she's looking at that tassle and smiling?  So is my niece!  She's so happy to be graduating with honors because she has worked so hard to earn it!  The top of the template opens to put something inside, but I thought these would be very cute table decorations.  I may make more for her party!

Here is the invation I made.  I used Maria's graduation picture and created this in my photo editing program.  I got the idea to place the number vertically from an invitation I saw online.  The pawprints on the bottom are from the Sign It stamp set.  Her school's nickname is the Bulldogs, so I had to add the paw prints!  I just love the way these came out!

Here they are together.  So cute!  I just wish I had some of that curly hair they used for dolls that I could put on my template.  She needs some hair I think!  ;-)

Like I said before, the entire design team is posting today, so stop by these blogs to see what they have to show you.

Thanks for stopping by today!  We have more inspiration coming from this release, so please stop by again!

My Time Made Easy Preview Day 1 - Trendy Turtle

Hello friends!  Today begins the previews for the My Time Made Easy June release!  And it's all camping related!  Today we are revealing the new template called Trendy Turtle.  Where is the turtle, you ask?  Well the MTME templates can be used in many different ways, and that's half the fun!  Today, I just made the shell of the turtle (you can see Lauren and some of the other girls' full turtles!).  For the base I used Dusty Durango cardstock and paired it with one of the new digital paper packs being released called Smore Smores.  (I was just eating smores this weekend...yummo!)  I tied up the "shell" with some chocolate satin ribbon.  There are so many things you can put into this.  It's quite roomy!

For the card, I took one of the hexagons and increased the size, made two of them, then welded them together using the SCAL program and cut it out.  I made a mat with the digital paper by sizing it down.  The sentiment is from a set being released this month called So Much S'more. (Are you seeing the theme here?)  I punched it out with a Marvy punch and added a bling flourish.

Stop by these blogs for more inspiration.

The release will be on June 1st and I'll have more for you then.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Pretty Palette #62 - My Time Made Easy

Are you enjoying your weekend?  We are having fun at our cabin!  Great weather too!

We have new colors for our Pretty Palette challenge and I really think you'll like them!

I really like these colors together.  The paper is from DeLovely by Cosmo Cricket.  It had the pink and turquoise in it I needed.  Then I cut the flower out using the My Bee Loved cut file and stamped it with the coordinating stamp.  I used copic markers to color the flower, from Bee Loved stamp set, and added star dust stickles in the center.  The sentiment is from Sentimental Occasions.  That panel was cut with the deckled rectangle nestie.  I added the crystal flourish from Want to Scrap.  Pretty easy card!

Stop by these blogs to see more inspiration using these fun colors.
Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy your weekend!

Just Us Girls #138 - Photo Inspiration Challenge **New**

Happy Saturday and Happy Memorial Day weekend!  I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend.  We are changing things up a bit over at Just Us Girls.  We have decided to retire our 3D/Template challenge and replace it with a Photo Inspiration challenge.  We hope you enjoy this type of challenge.  You can go wherever your inspiration takes you!  Vicki has chosen some great pictures to get you crafting.  I love today's...blue and brown are some of my favorite colors!
I took the colors, the stripes and the teddy bear from the inspiration photo.  The pattern on cake reminded me of this retired SU paper called Parisian Breeze.   I stamped the teddy bear on one of the patterns in chocolate chip ink.  The image is from Baby Button Bits by PTI.  The sentiments are from Bitty Baby Blessings, also from PTI.  The doily is from a Martha Stewart pack.

The sketch is from Taylored Expressions.  I guess they are discontinuing their sketches.  Bummer, because I've always loved their sketches.  But there are a lot of sketch challenges out there (on of them at JUGs!).

You can see what the JUGs design team did with this inspiration photo at these blogs:
