Mini Me

The other night, Broc came out of the bath and said, "Look, I'm Dad"........Jed had folded over the towel so that it was miniature and wrapped it around Broc just like he does for himself when he gets out of the shower....I thought it was pretty cute!

SKITTER RACES

Grandma Nell has these "Skitters" that she bought for the grandkids, but I think she had them more in mind for the GREAT Grandkids, but us 30 year old Grandkids are finding them to be way fun! Last night Morgan called and wanted to do skitter races onour driveway. So we did a timed run by our self first....and then the Races were on! Jed and Kirby raced and then me and Morgan raced.....she killed me! It's way harder than it looks! I'm not sure if the little kids even got a turn on them??

Just Swingin!

Last weekend among all the festivities the Boys decided to hang this HUGE tree swing. It is amazing....They finally convinced me to try it out ...and almost didn't make my landing...but now I am a huge fan! Broc was way brave and loved it, Brayden......not so much! As soon as we all tried it....Jed and Rourke decided to take their relationship a step further.......the spider! It was hillarious to watch...I'm not sure if Jed new what was coming, but as soon as he swung back up close enough...Rourke jumped on for a free ride! It was hillarious! I thought it would break with such weight, but it held strong!

Funniness....

If you missed the ESPY awards (how could you?) and you're a Will Ferrell fan like we are at my house....check out his acceptance speech for Tiger Woods...me and Jed laughed hard at his list of sponsors...SO FUNNY!

The 24th Festivities: The wrap-up (i promise)

Saturday, we ran up to the ranch for the Terry Reunion....we made these yummy rolls.......and they were a hit! Jed rode his motorbike up there and I met him with the truck....we stayed long enough to snack on some yumminess and then back to town for Kyron and Ryland's combined birthday party! They rented this awesome water slide and had the yummiest BBQ....oh yea i went all over the place with my points..oh well...it was good! After the party we decided since our hubbies were working on the Farm until late we would take our chillins to the RO-DEO....We are the only ones that show up in our capris and flip flops....everyone else pulls out the dark blue wranglers and boots just for these three special nights! haha Just kiddin...i'm jealous that i don't have a wrangler butt! Anywhoo-Broc, Davis and Kyron did the chicken chase....and again my kid was in flip flops and shorts...kinda embarassing actually! The boys had fun with their glow sticks thanks to Morgan (a.k.a soccer mom) who is always prepared! We then ate Rodeo Hot Dogs (THE BEST) and Nachos.....YUMM! We ended the night at the Farm taking Jed his very own Rodeo Dog and breaking open our glow sticks all over the hay and eachother! We totally came up with another annual tradition...glowsticks at the farm! It might even become a bi-annual tradition...Halloween time would be fun!

The 24th Festivities: IV (yes there's more)

Friday, my Mom decided to have a craft day for all the girly grand daughters. I needed some ideas for Mother Daughter Enrichment Night, so I jumped on board.....my Mom was tending Baby K8...and had a house full of family...so for that reason me and Michelle ended up doing all the crafts.....it was fun though. The older girls got flip flops to decorate cutesy! For the younger girls, we made them tutu's. They are really cute, but kind of a lot of work. I was planning on doing the tutu for Enrichment, but decided it was a lot of work and I'll let people bring their own stuff and I will instruct them.....I didn't want to be in charge of all that material....so we also made cute pony tail holder with all sorts of ribbon....they turned out sooo cute. They were addicting..I wanted to keep making them in every color~ K8 totally got in on the action as well! Good idea Grandma Lainie....you always try to do the funnest things for your Grandkids! AND they always love it!

The 24th Festivities: Part III

THE FIREWORKS
We went to the Ranch for dinner and played around up there. Then we got home and Broc was sad that it was too dark to sleep out in a tent like we had promised, so I bucked up and set up a huge tent that I had only assisted on once. We got it up! We ran over to Grandma Nette's to watch the "Fireworks Fantastico" by Jed and Terron..and it was! We had popcorn and rootbeer floats and the awesome ambience of Annette's backyard pond and lights....it was a fun night! Then we went home and slept in the tent...the boys did really well...they both fell asleep easily and slept the whole night! GOOD TIMES!

The 24th Festivities:Part II

THE PARADE

So, after the Fun Run we had front row seats to the parade (we live on main street). Broc was on the Primary float...we couldn't talk him into all the candy he would get if he stayed with us...I was proud of him! Brayden had fun chasing the candy!

The 24th Festivities: Part I

THE FUN RUN
Michelle (SIL) and I did the Enterprise Fun Run on Thursday morning. We got on a school bus at 6:30 am and were dropped off 3.2 miles up Cottonwood (windy hill/road coming into Enterprise). We started out walking, but we got in the groove and we jogged a little as well! We really did it for the T-shirt, so we weren't taking it too seriously! It was so much fun! We will definitely do it again next year!
