Catching Up-Summer

The last field trip Jack took with his Preschool class was to Tanaka Farms to pick Strawberries. Jack loves strawberries so he was super excited! Even Joey got in on the picking fun.

Jack looked so good in his Preschool pic!

This spring we taught Jack how to ride a 2 wheeled bike. Kyle started him out on the grass so falling wouldn't hurt, and then moved onto the asphalt. Jack was really nervous, and there was lots of crying, but he did it! And now he is a pro.

In May, mom and dad came to town. We spent a week doing Disneyland/CA Adventure, Downtown Disney, Huntington Beach, eating cheesecake, and celebrated Jack's birthday. It was a busy and tiring week, but it was nothing but silliness and FUN!

On May 29, Jack turned 5! I can't believe he's getting so big! And his dessert of choice...strawberry cupcakes :)

The next day, Jack had his birthday party at the park with all of his friends. It was Avengers themed and he had a pinata, lots of gifts, and pizza and cupcakes.

Early in the Summer, we took Kyle up to Vacaville. He had an internship in downtown San Francisco, so we all traveled up together to get him settled.
On the way up to Vacaville, we stopped for the night in Pismo Beach. We enjoyed the afternoon at the beach, walking around the outlets, and then got some dinner and rested in our hotel room. The next morning we traveled the rest of the way to Vacaville.

Throughout the summer, the kids and I were able to visit Kyle up north a couple of times. Jack got to spend lots of time with Sammy (the cat), we got lots of ice cream at Fenton's, we went to a little beach in Benicia, and did other activities like the Children's Discovery Center, Golden Gate Park, and Train Town. Let's just say, the kids were not bored on our little trips.

Throughout the summer, we also did things here in Southern CA. One activity was a movie night in our friends backyard. Jack and Joey each got their own bag of popcorn got to watch Big Hero 6 with their friends.

We also spent A LOT of time at the pool this summer. I think we went every other day so we all ended up with a nice tan :)

Kyle got to come home for the 4th of July and we watched fireworks at the lake.

We did a lot this summer and the kids also had lots of time to be silly!

At the end of the summer, we headed back out to San Bernardino for the Little League Regional Finals. It was really hot, and we had to get there early to get a seat in the shade, but at least the game was exciting!

Kyle and I had the chance to go the first football game of the season for the UCLA Bruins!

One of the goals we had set for Jack this summer was to learn how to swim across the pool. We spent a lot of time at the pool and we also had him do a couple months of swim lessons. And by the end...he did it!

More silliness!

August 31 was the first day of Kindergarten! Jack wore his favorite Avengers shirt and new Star Wars shoes, and he was ready to start school. He met his new teacher, Mrs. Keller, and had a good first day. Jack loves his class and is learning so much already.
Go Robinson Rattlers!

Once again, Jack is playing soccer with Kyle as his coach. And Jack scored a goal in his third game!
Go Green Storm!
