Wow can you believe i can create a card without an image?! haha! I saw this a while back on Tamiko's blog, she used up some scraps to create something similar to this and i always told myself i would try it one day... That day is now! didn't use scraps though... i actually rumbled through some paper stash and for some reason thhese colors really stood out to me... Added a strip of lace border punched, complete with ribbon, sentiment and some bling... If you have scraps lying around and don't know what to do, you might attempt to try something like this too!

here's my card for the challenge.... i used Fairy Laila... isn't she a beauty? one colorful DP with 2 stamps (fairy digi stamp and "birthday wishes" sentiment) and 3 embellies (1 ribbon and 2 dew drops)... i sure hope Kim likes it!

Daughters' Birthday Wishes....

Oh happy day! come on and sing with me... hehehe!! hello Thursday! where has the week gone??? i've been busy busy, keeping up with house chores, caring for my kiddies and yes, CREATING!! feels so good... haven't made much cards but i've been creating away with mounds of baby shower things... and that is just never ending it seems... i just finished rolling 48 baby washcloths... phew! now to wrap them up... =D

well today i wanted to showcase the wonderful cards my daughters made in honor of their Daddy's birthday.... mommy helped them put it together but they were the ones that colored away.... see....
this one was colored by DD#1... Daddy loved her two-tone hair style.... and i have to say, her coloring in the lines are getting better.... =D

here's the one made by DD#2... hmmm, can you tell what her favorite color is?!?! hehe! not bad for a 2 year old... it surprised me that she chose this image... i thought she was going to choose HG Sing since that's her FAVE!

we didn't get an extravagant cake for daddy... just something simple and yummy... he's not much of a cake person like me, so no Queen Emma for him... but we did get him a yummy yummy chocolate brownie ice cream cake from Safeway!! oh was it YUMMY!!!

Happy Birthday Dear!

Wow!! after a little over a week of non-crafting production, i finally got my hands busy yesterday... gosh, did that feel fabulous... mainly because i had to get some cards done for my hubby's birthday today!!!! Happy Birthday to my Hubby!!! =D and many more to come....
i finally trimmed and inked up Fleur Anya... one of the newly (well, back in May) cutest TGF Anyas released, i actually purchased her from Tamiko's... she's adorable and perfect for any occasion... today, i used her to send some sweet birthday wishes to my hubby... paper pieced her dress (something i haven't done in awhile) and added rhinestones to her flower middles... punched some flowers to add here and there, also with rhinestone middles... and complete with a "birthday wishes" sentiment, from the butterfly wishes set also available at TGF.... kept it simply layered because hubby likes to leave his stuff on his desk to collect dust... LOL... and hey, this fit perfect for the Fabulous Flowers challenge over at Anyone for Anya..... go check out the challenge, i did!

hope my crafting mojo is back and not just for the day... i've been lost not being able to create something... but with the heat and feeling tired from being almost 7 months pregnant, i knew i would have a stump somewhere... hehe!! DD#2 and I are off to find the perfect cake for today's celebration, so i'll be back later, with hopefully something crafty... toodles for now!!!

Found these DPs in my DCWV sweet treat stack... and it was a perfect color combo... Fairy Eva is a new addition to my TGF collection and thought she would be great to ink up to send birthday wishes... added rhinestones to the flower centers, a few butterflies and she's ready to flutter on... i was really sad i had to color her skin with a crayola pencil... but i am very excited waiting for my copic set to come in... YAY! i hope it comes in soon!

Hk Birthday

Happy Tuesday friends! I was a little MIA yesterday, but i did manage to blog hop and checkout everyone's awesome creations and give you all some LOVE... although i didn't post a blog, i did hide in the craft room for a little bit before resting and cleaning the house all day yesterday (even if i was feeling under the weather)... stayed home again today, in likes of making sure i'm okay to go back to work tomorrow... so wanted to share with you the first set of cards i made yesterday... we have 2 1st birthday parties coming up one sunday after another... one here and one on Oahu (which we will not be attending)... and to much of my happiness both party themes is Hello Kitty... i have to make a total of 8 cards for the parties... as soon as we got the invitations my family put in their orders... thankfully, the 8 includes mine... so here's the first set...
made a special trip to the craft store to get this darling HK paper... reminds me of the bags that you would get after buying something from the Sanrio store before they started using plastic... the template for this cupcake card can be found on the Ben Franklin Crafts site... punched some flowers and added some rhinestones... and ran the cupcake base through my crimper... pretty simple right?! you can do it too!

Birthday Wishes (quick post)

My aunty that babysits my girls will be celebrating her birthday on Monday... so in celebration for that, i made this card for her from the girls!!! I'm just loving this Hope and Grace set!!! i made up the LO as i was putting the card together.... trying to fit pieces here and there...

hope everyone is enjoying their week and getting ready for the 3 day weekend coming up! woohoo!!! can't wait! 0h, btw, Happy September!!! it's the first of the month!!!! Wow how time flies!
