Bats About You

Hi Friends and Stampers,

I hope you are having a great Holly-Day today.  Currently we are in San Diego!  Whoo Hoo.  For today's inspiration I have a cute and simple card.

This stamp set and the matching dies will be in the store soon!  I gotta tell you, I got real used to the matching dies that goes with each set and I actually had to hand fussy cut this bat myself, lol.  I colored him up with my Copic Markers and added some googlie eyes to him, lol.  At first I inked up the sentiment with black and then again with white ink.

Laura's father-in-law continues to do not do so well, so we appreciate your patience and understanding. Laura will be answering emails and shipping out more orders as soon as she can.   This is a very hard time for her family right now.  Our prayers go out to her and her family.  Especially her husband, Tim.

I hope you have had a chance to play in our current challenge, two or more pattern papers.  Tomorrow is a brand new challenge, so be sure to check it out!

Thanks so much for checking in on us,

Holly

No Fun

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Happy Holly-Day Monday!  I hope you are all doing well.  The kids survived the first week of school, and are off to start their second week!  Before I shove off to work, I  wanted to show you some inspiration.

Sorry about the background on the picture, I have a new-to-me computer and the printer that holds my camera card, isn't hooked up yet.  But actually I am thinking this camera on my IPhone takes better pictures than my camera does anyway, lol.

I just love the New Birdie Brown Series!  This was so much fun to color.  I decided to keep it clean and simple just to show her off.  The stamp set comes with a few sentiments, like the one shown here.  Again I used the dies for the cut out and then just stamped her on and colored her.  Easy Peasy.

Don't forget we have a Wings Challenge going on right now and tomorrow we start a brand New Challenge!

Thanks for checking in on us,

Holly

You deserve a break ....

Hi Friends and Stampers,

Welcome to a new Holly-Day Monday.  Today I want to inspire you with some My Favorite Things stamps and dies, I know, big surprise there, lol.

Oh I love these office supplies.  I had to crack up when I made a paper, paper clip, lol.   There are so many more things I can do with this set and I have been thinking about some scrapbooking I could use them with as well.  Such fun!  I love all the toys and especially love that I can accent with the dies.

I will see you again next week, until then, keep looking at the NEW ITEMS tab at the Loves Rubberstamps Store!  There is a new MFT release and it will be coming to the store soon.   You also have one more day to play in our current challenge - Out of Season.  And there is a New Challenge tomorrow!  Yeah.

Every Day is a Picnic

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a Happy Holly-Day Monday and thankfully I am off work today. In fact, it's my last day off during the week with the boys for the summer. They go back to school next week! Wow. Summer happened fast around here. I am really happy we took that trip to Disneyland and that we got a chance to get to the beach a couple times. It's always great when you are a kid and you can remember all the fun stuff you got to do over the summer.

So for one week, Every Day is a Picnic...

Oh I love this cute little gal and I am so happy I bought the dies to match. Not fussy cutting saves a lot of time, but having an even white outer layer also makes this look cleaner and while it's not totally obvious, it's nice to have a white layer between her and the designer paper. She was a lot of fun to color up with my Copic Markers and I can see myself using this set quite a few more times because the stamp set and die set come with so many different options and sayings.

Here's to everyone have a fabulous week! I hope you have had a chance to play in our Challenge this week, if not, you have the rest of the day! Also, there is a brand new Challenge tomorrow! And don't forget to check out the NEW ITEMS, Laura likes to sneak them in, here and there.

Sunflower Sweetheart

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a new Holly-Day Monday and I am here to show you some stampy inspiration today.

Oh My Gosh I love this stamp set and I plan to use it again and again. I went ahead and bought the matchy dies to go with. Now normally I do not mind fussy cutting, but I liked the dies that went with it and had some 3D in mind when I bought them. I did not pop anything up here, but I did decide to go ahead and use the dies.....LOVE!!! I cut out using the dies first. Then I applied my stamp on an acrylic block and put a scrap piece of black under the cut out on the foam pad that I stamp on, so I could see the outline better.....JEEZ, so much easier to see right where to stamp.

I'm also still crazy about the Candi Dots. I used Icing, (white) and colored with my E09 Copic Marker. I didn't have to scramble around looking for that perfect colored brad, I just had to color my Candi Dot the perfect color. I like them because they still leave shimmer even though I colored them.

As you can tell, I am so ready for fall! It's been 107 here for a while and everytime we go out of the house to do anything, it seems to suck the life out of us, lol. I went into the stashy hoarded stuff and pulled out this paper pad. I knew it would be perfect for her.

Have you seen all the wonderful yummy NEW ITEMS that Laura has added to the Loves Rubberstamps Store? I went shopping TWICE!!!! She might have to kick me off the team just to have stuff left for her customers, lol.

I also want to remind you that you have today to finish up your Challenge Projects for the current Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - buttons and bows. We start a New Challenge tomorrow, so you definetly do not want to miss out on that either. Oh and you still have all week to Blog Hop on our Sunday Sensational Blog Hop. We pick a name for the monthly drawing each week and then a winner each month. We just picked a winner yesterday and Heidi won a store voucher for $20.00!!! That would pay for the Sunflower Sweetheart stamp set with some money to spare!

I hope you all have a great week!

Somethings Fishy

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a Happy Holly-Day, mostly because I'm off today! Whoo Hoo and I have nothing planned but getting inky today!!!! For todays inspiration I thought I'd whip up a little something fishy.

I hope you like my fish bowl as much as I do. I just love this set. I still have a fair fish the kids won last year at the fair on my kitchen counter....grrrr..... how long do they live? lol. I am only used to the ones who live a week or so, lol. I thought I would get some pictures and make some scrap pages using this die as well.
Don't forget to check out all the New Items, Laura has added to the Loves Rubberstamps store. We have a brand new Challenge starting tomarrow but you still have all day to play in our current one.

You Are So Beautiful.....

To Me....

Hello Friends and Stampers,

It's a Happy Holly-Day Monday! I hope everyone is having a good start to the week. It's my turn to show you some Monday Inspiration on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.

As soon as I saw the words in the Simply Fabulous Sayings, I could not help but think of the song, "you are so beautiful to me", I like to Joe Cocker version. I also love this set because "Fabulous" is my word these days, lol. I have used these lily dies before and I just love everything about them, so fun to color up. I watched a tutorial and the gal used four pieces of painters tape, two long strips upside down and two on the ends to keep those in place. Then she just placed the Lily pieces onto the tacky side and colored them with her Copic Markers and they stayed in place while she was coloring.....so easy! It was brilliant! Why didn't I think of that? She also popped up her lilies with dementional foam, which I did not do here. This time I colored up the lilies with Y35, R85, R83, and the green bases with YG63 and YG03. These are quick and easy to color up and I really thing they are so beautiful. I also want to mention I used the MFT Ink that is coming to the Loves Rubberstamps Store soon!!!

Laura has added so many Fabulous New Items to the store, you just have to go take a look....there are a few pages of them!!! And don't forget you have one more day to play in our Red, White, & Blue challenge. And there is a New Challenge coming tomorrow! And lastly, you have til Saturday to Blog Hop on our Sunday Sensation Inspiration Blog Hop, for a chance to win a store voucher prize.

Have a great day and I will see you again tomorrow!

A Rose is a Rose

Hi Friends and Stampers,

It's a Holly-Day Monday and I am here to show you some inspiration, for the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.   My coloring MoJo moved North for the Summer, lol. This card came together very quick and easy, even though it has taken me the better part of the day to assemble it, lol.

I love this rose and overlay die, this is the first time I've used it and I've had it for a little while, lol. I will be using this one again for sure. I think if I really put my mind to it, I could have gotten this one done in less than an hour. Something beautiful does not have to involve hours and hours of coloring to be an effective hand made card. In real life, all the colors match, lol. So much for my photography and editing skills.
I hope you all had a wonderful Holly-Day weekend. We went to the central coast for the weekend and had a great visit with my Dad and Step-Mother. It felt so good to be at the beach again and see fireworks over the ocean. Fabulous! My Dad BBQ'd up some fabulous ribs and chicken. He brought some huge zuccini from home, so I sliced that baby up in disks and breaded and fried it, lol. YUM, it was all so good!
Now it's back to a work week and some routine. I hope you have a great weekend! Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog for a New Challenge tomorrow! You still have a day to get your Anything Goes projects in as well today, for a chance to win a prize! You also don't want to miss out on all the fabulous NEW Items Laura has added to the Loves Rubberstamps Store!!!

Thanks for Looking and for your kind Comments,

A work of Heart

Hi Friends and Stampers!

Happy Holly-Day! It's my turn to post on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  Wow, what a great weekend I had. We took the kids to Anaheim, California on Friday, checked into the Camelot Motel, (Which I highly recommend), they went swimming and we went to Captain Kids Buffet, (oh boy did they love that!) for dinner. On Saturday we went to DisneyLand for the day!!! We have done the two day passes before and it's always felt like one day too many to me, lol. I haven't been for a while and it's just not that far away for us, so I am so glad we did it. My Sister came for a surprise visit on Sunday and is leaving this evening, so this is all going to be short and sweet! lol. I was able to get this card done in a hour, because I HAD to, lol.

Those Blue-Prints sure make it a lot faster and easier to make a card design, I highly recommend them. They are easy to mix and match around because you get so many different dies in each one. A real bargain when you consider how much you pay per die. I hope you will check them out!
You have one more day in our current Challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog - Home Made Flowers. And Tomorrow is the first day in the month and a new Challenge will begin, hmmmm I wonder what it will be, lol. If you have been playing along in our challenges, you will already know :)
Thanks for checking in on us,

Love Story

Hello Friends and Stampers,
Happy Holly-Day Monday! It's my turn to post on the Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog.  I hope your week is off to a good start. I know mine is. Yesterday was our 12th Anniversary and I whipped up this card for Joe in one evening after work on Saturday, lol. I love this set and the sentiments. It's true, our love story is my favorite.
I was 35 and a single parent of two teens in California. He was a single guy in Pennsylvania. We had one friend in common and before you know it, I was flying over there and he was flying over here and I was flying over there again.... to pack up the U-haul and move him across the country. You have to admit, he is a brave man, lol.
I hope you have had a chance to play in our Current Challenge - Clean and Simple. Our New challenge starts tomorrow and you do not want to miss that one either.... it's my challenge! You also want to pop on over to the New Items in the store and take a look at all the cute stamps Laura has just added.
Have a great week and I will see you again next week.

You're a Super Dad

Sugar Pea Designs - My Hero (preorder coming soon)
Penny Black Creative Dies - Downtown

Hey Friends and Stampers,

It's Happy Holly-Day Monday again, over at Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Blog, I'm here to show you a Father's Day card I whipped together for Joe. Life has been so busy these past couple months that I was concerned I was not going to get this card made for today, lol. It seems like it's always something lately. This last weekend was suppose to be a rest period for our household after undertaking so much lately. But sadly Mr. Reed got got sick....on the top bunk....all down the back wall..... and then over the other side. It's a big huge wood one that the furniture store sent guys over to build in the room.... Unfortunately we had a lot packed in that room too. So we hauled it all out, Joe got out the Dad tools and down came the bunk bed. We cleaned and cleared out and shampooed the carpets. And then it all went back in again, but we decided to stick with just the bottom bunk, lol. Knowing my dear Joe needed a boost, I decided to go ahead and give him his Father's Day gift a week early. So he got an XBox 1 and you would have thought it was another child the way he went on. lol.

One of the reason I love working for Loves Rubberstamps is the variety that I have to choose from. This cute little Super Hero is from Sugar Pea Designs that Laura is planning on adding to the others as soon as she gets caught up. If you would like to preorder him, shoot her an email at Lovesrubberstamps@yahoo.com and she will add him to her orders for you. Same goes with the Penny Black Creative Die - Downtown. The first time I saw this die, I knew I had to have it! It's the perfect size for all my Super Hero images, lol. And the, You're Super set from MFT both stamps and dies can be used in combination with all kinds of images and other dies. These are all perfect for me to have on hand because ALL my guys are Geeks and all my guys love super hero's, along with all the movies that go along with them.

Oh and you want to be sure to get your projects uploaded in our Current Challenge - anything goes! There are triple prizes this week! One of which is a voucher to the Loves Rubberstamps Store, check out the New Items Laura has just put in. So cute!!!

Thanks for Checking in on me,

Holly

Girly, Glittery, Glam

Hi Everyone,

It's time for a New Challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.  This week we want to your your 3G's, Girly, Glittery, Glam.

I would like to thank our sponsor, The Paper Shelter, for providing the design team with these wonderful images. Did you know that each image comes precolored as well as not colored?  And also with designer paper, with and without the colored image.  I was in a bit of a hurry this weekend because I wanted to spend a bit more time with my guys on Sunday, so I used the precolored image and some great paper that went along perfect with her.  There is a hint of Wink of Stella for glitter, but it's not showing up on my picture that I had to take at 11:30 pm, lol.  Last minute Holly here.

I hope your week is coming along well and while it's a long way til Friday, I do hope you have a chance to get inky and get some relaxation time in.

Thanks for popping by.

Super Girl!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday.  I am having the most relaxing weekend and yet, still getting some housework done....just leisurely.  I made a card for this week MFT sketch and then I got to thinking about how great my new "You're Super" would look with this sketch.  I had it all made and then I remembered the skyline, lol.  So ever so gently, I lifted her up and that does not include the shoes because they are partially glued.  My skyline is slightly crooked but I'm okay with that, lol.

Love this super cute image and she was fun to color up.  I think I may have gone overboard with my silver wink of stella pen but you know, it's hard to stop once you get started with those.

Okay, I'm off to do some design team stuff now.  I hope you all are having a great day.

Purple Lilies

Hi Friends and Stampers,

How is your Monday going so far? I hope well! Does anyone get to stay home with the kids this week for Spring Break? I have a few days off this week, so excited!

It's my Holly-Day to show you some inspiration and actually I was the one who was inspired by Cindy Lawrence and her beautiful purple Lilies. So I used her colors and made my own card, lol.

MFT Lily Die-Namics - coming to the LRS store soon!
Doodlebug 6x6 paper - fruitstand

I love these lilies and plan on using them a lot this spring. I also love the sending thanks stamp set. I am still trying to figure out how best to adhere the sequins that I used, lol. I can see the shiny glue around them and I hate that, lol. I'll figure out something! Maybe it's time to make the perfect size glue dots from my Scraperfect Best Glue Ever!

I hope you have a chance to join us in our Current Challenge - 1980's theme, or if that doesn't sound interesting, there is always a new challenge tomorrow and I've seen a whole lot of cards out there that fits our next theme, lol.

Also, you will want to keep an eye out on the New Items page, Laura gets sneaky and likes to slip a few pages of new stuff in there in the middle of the night on me, lol.

Okay that's it for me today, go ahead, get inky!

Holly
