Well, this week, I was determined I was joining in with this one, lol! Every day, I do lots of blog hopping and say that I am going to do this challenge and that one and Inever seem to get round to them all. The Sugar Bowl is a fab blog and since week one, I have said that I am going to join in the fun but I haven't managed it until now - that's as long as I'm not too late! Hope not!
Once again, everything that COULD go wrong with this one DID! The image was too large, the sentiment was wrong AND, when I went to do the inside the whole bl***y thing was upside down. So, no inside until I fix the front to another card - then, I will carry the sketch through since it's such a fab sketch. Bit complex but fun. Thanks Tiets!
And now, onto the card. The papers are K & Co. I think they are Mckenna but not too sure as I have half of one and half of a second 12x12 pack mixed together and no front covers. Sorry. The image is Sugar Nellie 'Penpal' coloured with watercolour pencils, metallic watercolour pencils and Twinkling H2Os. I got this from my daughter for Mothers Day. It was one I had been after for ages and typically, that's me just got round to using it! Worth the wait, me thinks! She is gorgeous, my daughter too, lol! Card stock is from my stash and I have left the sentiment strip blank so I can adapt it to suit the recipient.
Hope you like it

Friday Sketchers #48
Hi everyone! How nice and peaceful it is around here today. I better remember and take the flags back down before the kids get out of school, lol! My card today is for Friday Sketchers #48 - a sketch by Kristine and a fab one at that. This card has been a nightmare. I first made it and didn't matt and layer the bits so I didn't like the result So, I thought I would cheat and take it apart and fix it. HA! I ripped all the papers and bent the card - grrrr! So, I gave up and started from scratch! Just as well I loved the sketch and these papers or I think I would just have given up.
The image is new stamp set from Personal Impressions coloured with watercolour and inktense pencils. The DPs are '3 Bugs In A Rug - Snips and Snails' range. They are double-sided and are called 'Turtles', '123' and 'Little Prince'. The CS and the spanner and screwdriver embellishments are from my stash. The text is my bad handwriting. Ovals are cut on the Bug with Nesties.
I have carried the sketch through to the inside as well.
Hope you like it. Any comments are appreciated.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #27 - Sketch
This week over at Secret Crafter, there is a fab sketch by Donna to try out. It was a lovely sketch to work with. I haven't added the flowers at the corner of the images as this card is for my son and Im not sure he would appreciate them, lol!
I have used Old Macdonald papers again and this time, the goat from my new stamps by Ollyfant. He is, as usual, coloured with watercolour pencils. Ribbon is also Old Macdonald. CS and rub-ons from my stash.
The inside:
Hope you like it. If you stop by to take a look please leave a comment so I can return the visit.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #45
Hi everyone! This card is for the Sketch Saturday Challenge which is a fab sketch by Tracie. Lovely to work with but then I realised that the image I had chosen was the wrong way round so, I have had to rotate the sketch a bit.
The image is a Sarah Kay one that I bought from Ebay a while back, coloured with water colour pencils. The papers are, once again, Basic Grey - Gypsy. The flower, brad and gems are from my mums stash.
Hope you like it

I am also going to enter this one in the Secret Crafter Sater Challenge #16. This is the first time I've entered this one. I used the sketch above and chose 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments and then put it all together.

Elisabeth Bell/Sugar Nellie - Picking Apples
I am sorry that I have not posted anything for a long time. We are going to be moving house soon. Not sure exactly when, but soon. We are waiting for some repair work to be done first. So, I decided to be super organised and pack everything that we don't use very often into boxes. Then, I had all these big boxes lying around so, I thought to myself 'Surely, it won't take long for the repairs to be done. If I pack up all the craft stuff in the dining room then I can store all the boxes in there for a week or two.' And, that's what I did! And now, we are onto week 3 of waiting and I was going to go even more crazy than I normally am so... I opened all the boxes and started rummaging, lol!
Anyway, onto my card. Got this paper on Saturday when I was out shopping and I have been dying to use it. It's all glittery and foiled. Hope the recipient likes the card as much as I do cos I'm quite pleased with this one.
Thanks for stopping by
Hugs

So Sweet - Sarah Kay
I have made a Valentines Card. This may not seem very unusual but, I have never made one before. The image is Sarah Kay - First Kiss and has been coloured with watercolour pencils and twinkling H2O's. The card is Anita's A6 and is covered with Bo Bunny Back to Backs - Beau Jardin Clover paper which was a 12x12 sheet I had to cut down. Image is mounted onto a small piece of the background paper but using the other side. This is then mounted onto green mirror card once and then, with foam pads inbetween, mounted a second time and attached to the base card. The sentiment is one which was free with some Sugar Nellie stamps at the craft fair and was cut with circle nesties. The ribbon is from my stash. I have added some adhesive gems to the dots on the sentiment and to each end of the ribbon.
This image has been coloured for about 10 days now and I have been unable to decide what to do with it. Quite like the way it turned out and will now use it for Valentine's Day

Sponnful Challenge - Nikki's Sketch
This card is my entry for the challenge over at A Spoonful of Sugar, which is a sketch by Nikki. I hope I amn't too late to enter. I seen the challenge last week and I thought to myself "what a fab sketch, nice and simple". However, I didn't realise the time had passed so quickly. I coloured the image on Saturday night and then put the card together yesterday. I was just finishing it when... the kids all decided to join me round the table. Kim doesn't need much help but Jack gets a bit carried away with the craft knife and Wee Steven loves the scissors! Anyway, here is the finished card at last.
Starting with a square Anita's base card and covering with paper that Kimberley unearthed from her bedroom. The image is Sugar Nellie by Elisabeth Bell, coloured with watercolour pencils that I got for the kids in the reduced section at my local Tesco for 96p! lol! I thought I'd see what they were like. Mounted onto pale lilac card and put on base card with foam pads. The flowers and brads are from WH Smith. I added some pink stickles to the brads (sugar coated). The pale lilac ribbon across the bottom is from my stash. The sentiment is a stamp from my stash on pale lilac cs and cut with wavy scissors.
Really pleased with this one! Not usually a flowery person. Hope I'm not too late for the challenge.

One Card - Three Challenges!
Penny Black Saturday, Cute Card Thursday and Papertake Weekly!
Hello everyone. At last, I have a card! This card was made for my neice, who is 2 today. The base card is a square Anita's one, covered with 'Provence Polka' from The Paper Company. The strip of CS down the side is from my stash and has been run through the Bug with the 'Spots & Dots' embossing folder. The image is, I think, Penny Black which I received from Josianne and is coloured with the Watercolour pencils and Twinkling H2Os I got for Christmas. It is matted onto CS from my stash and cut with my new circle nesties in the Bug. The greeting is from Craftwork Cards and the small flowers are from WH Smith with adhesive gems from Dovecraft added to the middle.
I am making this card my entry into 3 challenges as it covers them also.
The first is Penny Black Saturday Challenge, which i haven't entered before. This one was to use 'embossing' and I have done with the strip down the side of the card. I have also embossed the flowers in a way too.
The second is the Cute Card Thursday Challenge, again, one I haven't entered before. This one was to use any 'new craft goodies you received for Christmas'. I hae used my watercolour pencils, twinkling H2O's and my classic and scalloped circle nesties.
And, finally, the third is the Papertake Weekly Challenge. This week, the theme is to use 'Spots'. I have used a spotty background paper, circle nesties and spots and dots embossing folder. The adhesive gems in the middle of the flowers are also spots.

I have also used my new stamp which I got from Ebay on the back of my card. You can get the link for the stamp from Bev's blog here. Thanks very much, Bev!
Anyway, I am quite pleased with this card and now I need to go and buy a birthday present. Why do I always leave everything to the last minut lol?!

Carol Singing Snowmen
For this Christmas Card, I started with a square base card and covered it with the gorgeous snowflake paper from Carol Wilson Fine Arts. The image was coloured with inktense pencils and watered with lots of stickles added and mounted onto purple card with all corners rounded. The flower is Prima.

Another Christmas Card!
For this card, I used some silver pearl card and made it a 13x13cm square. I stamped the image with white pigment ink onto black card and then, using a glue pen, went over all the swirls and then sprinkled it with silver, fine glitter. I have mounted it onto same colour card as base and rounded the corners. The ribbon across the middle is Anita's and the small snowflakes are peel-offs. The image is from Dimension Forth. Hope you all like it. Thought I would go for an unusual one for a change.

Honey's Snowman
This card is for my sister for Christmas. I can now safely post this lol. I have used a piece of card from a QVC Kit. I mounted the Honey's snowman image, from Sugar Nellie by Elisabeth Bell, onto lilac mirror card and coloured with inktense and watered. Lots of pink stickles added. The snowflakes are from K&CO. The photo does not do this card justice. It is much nicer in real life.

Sketch #28 - Sketch Saturday
Todays card is my entry to Sketch Saturday Challenge #28. A gorgeous sketch from Mariska. I started with square base card and covered one half with 'Baby Powder - Hiccups' and the other half with 'Baby Powder - Tiny Tantrum' both by Imaginisce. I used some white ric-rac to cover the join. The image is Forever Friends coloured with inktense pencils and cut with oval nesties in the bug. This is mounted onto pink card and stuck to base card with foam pads. The flowers are from WH Smith, as are the brads. The sentiment is from a K&Co kit my mum got from QVC as a gift for me about 3 years ago, I think. This is fixed to card with eyelets from my stash. Really enjoyed making this card. I will probably use this sketch lots in the future.

Another one for Whiff of Joy

This one is another one for Whiff of Joy Design Team Call. This one is Herb with Bird coloured with water colour pencils. I have mounted the image onto silver mirror card and used foam pads to mount onto main card. The papers are all Dovecraft Christmas Papers and the snowflakes are K&Co. The small snowman is Herb coloured same as main image on shrink plastic. Sorry about the quality of the photo.

WHIFF OF JOY DESIGN TEAM CALL
At last I have used my new stamps. This one, Lizzie with muff, is my favourite. I thought I would enter the Whiff of Joy Design Team Call. Katharina is looking for a guest designer. You need to make a card using the sketch and 1 Whiff of Joy stamp to enter. Not that I expect to win but I thought I would have a wee go anyway. I have colored the image with water colour pencils and cut around her. I next ran a small piece of white card through the bug with the snowflakes embossing folder. I attached Lizzie to this and mounted it onto a shiny grey and then black card. The strip across the bottom is DCWV The Christmas Stack, as is the base paper, and the strip down the side is pink card put in the bug with swiss dots folder. The greeting is from a sheet I got last year. The flowers are Paper Cellar MIY Range with a pink brad from my stash. So, I will now keep my fingers crossed.

Wedding Card
This card is one I was asked to make. The image is Forever Friends coloured with inktense and watercolour pencils, with some stickles added. It was mounted onto silver mirror card and the corners were rounded with a punch. The wording is done with silver peel-offs on white card mounted same as image with corners rounded again. Both of these are mounted onto a square of backing paper with words on (devotion;love;passion;etc) with a piece of ribbon on that says 'to love and to cherish'. The paper is slightly smaller than the base card and I have cut two corners of silver mirror card on the bug and finished off with these. Unfortunately the paper was stuck to the card before I checked the name of it lol.
I hope the girl who wanted it likes it!

Sketch Challenge SK112208
SKETCH CHALLENGE SK112208
I have been getting lost on the web again and I have just found the Paper Craft Planet site. I loved this sketch. It was so simple to work with and still managed to produce a lovely result. Since I liked the result I thought I would take part in the sketch challenge.
I started with a white, square card which I covered with Snowy Jo - Jingle Baubles paper by 'imaginisce'. Next, I cut a rectangle of Snowy Jo - Snow Soiree paper and fixed this across the top half of the card. The image is 'Christmas Kisses' designed by Elisabeth Bell for Sugar Nellie Stamps. As always, it is coloured with inktense pencils. I cut this with my oval nesties in the bug. The scalloped oval behind the image is the largest of the set and I cut 2 halves of the red and green sheets of card from the DCWV Christmas Cardstock Stack. I tied some sparkly, silver trim from Papermania round the middle and mounted the ovals onto foam pads. The small greeting was one from my stash.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #25
This card is my entry for Sketch Saturday Challenge #25. This was a brilliant sketch and I loved it. I will probably be using it a fair bit in the future. Really enjoyed making this card and I was quite pleased with the end result. I am going to give this to my youngest son. Started with a square base card and covered with green paper from Paper Adventures, added two strips across top and bottom with Spotty paper from Paper Adventures. These were from a QVC kit a couple of years ago so I am not sure what they are called. Ran a strip of white card through the bug with the snowflakes embossing folder and fixed down the side. The image is a new Sugar Nellie one called 'Trimming the Tree', which was designed by Elisabeth Bell. I coloured it with inktense pencils and mounted onto red card. I added four green brads from my stash to the corners. The round greeting is from Craftwork Cards and the small square greeting was done on the pc. All corners were rounded with a punch.
