Through The Years...

Our family sure has changed rapidly over the past 4 years.
Alden was born a week or two after this
picture was taken. He actually was here
for Christmas 2009.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like...

We made our 4th annual trip to Maple Row Tree Farm to chop down our tree. She's a beaut! I'll take a pic once she's completely decorated.

Too much Christmas cheer for Aldy!

Up To Speed...

LANIE:
Lanie is having a great school year! She loves math and is an excellent reader and writer. On September 27, 2011 she lost her first tooth- her upper one that she had bumped 3 years ago. She is in her first year of dance and is now learning to play basketball.
November 2011- Family portrait session at Short Beach

October 2011- Pumpkin picking at Jones Family Farm

September 2011- Me and Lanie apple picking at Lyman Orchards

December 2011- Lanie's holiday dance recital, The Polar Express. She is in the back row on the far left.

ALDEN:
Alden is the coolest and funniest little guy. He just turned two in December and is talking so much now. It has been a big year for him– first trip to California in May, becoming a big brother in August, and mastering the flurry of developmental milestones for his age group- yet, in the great words of Theo Cosby, he "is taking it all in stride".

December 15, 2011 - 2 years old!

February 2012 - Guitar Hero at Chuck E' Cheeses

MYLA:
Baby Myla is already six months old! She is so sweet and such a welcomed addition to our family. We love her!
September 2011 - 1 month old

November 1, 2011 - 2.5 months old

November 2011 (Thanksgiving weekend) - 3 months old

Christmas Eve 2011 - 4.5 months old

Merry Christmas!

After Christmas, we took the kids to Sesame Place in Pennsylvania for their annual A Very Furry Christmas opening. They loved it! We enjoyed the character dinner, where we were able to get up close and personal with Elmo, Bert, Ernie, Big Bird and Cookie Monster.

California Trip

More pics to come... In the meantime, enjoy the cousin shot. Quite a different group than our last trip there. (See pic).

Easter Festivities: Part 3

Easter morning!

Easter baskets, egg hunt, breakfast and church– a lovely morning. And, to think, next year we'll need 3 baskets...

Happy Easter, everybody!

Easter Festivities: Part 2

The eggs!

At our house, the task of coloring eggs falls into Lanie's capable hands. She's quite good at it now and only cracked one egg in the process. She's come a long way since this.

Alden, on the other hand, still has lots to learn. He colored his first and only egg this year.
Things quickly got crazy after this pic was taken.

His dye was replaced with plain water cups, which he seemed to like better anyway.

Easter Festivities: Part 1

Last weekend, we ventured to the much beloved Lyman Orchards for their Annual Easter Apple Hunt. The weather was ridiculously uncooperative (ie: very cold!), but the kids still had fun.

Alden's first encounter with a costumed character. He actually enjoyed the bunny! Even Lanie didn't want her picture with him.

Lanie returns from the hunt with her bag of apples. (Disregard the little boy who looks like he's chasing her. I'm not sure what he's doing.)

ONEderful Alden

Here's to the fastest year ever. Yesterday, we celebrated Alden's first birthday! I'm a girl of few words, but I'm sure these pictures will sum up the festivities for you. Enjoy.

I've decided the only way to get his picture is to pin him down, tickle him with one hand, and hope that you don't crop his head out of the shot when taking the picture with the other hand. Notice his two bottom teeth that came in last month.

He swiped a little frosting during the ceremonial birthday song.

Cake time!

Present time.

I think this picture says it all.
