Spirals

Sunday afternoon my dear friend Shannon, her daughter
Sid and Shannon's mom Claudia and
I (whew) nipped over to the
Gem Fair.
Beads are my number one addiction.
Books a close second
Maple sugar candy is for sure third.
Anyway....The bead show
Wow
The vendors were tired and so ready to start packing up..
But still willing to listen and answer questions
for the newbies in our group.
Shannon and I met the first day of our son's kindergarten
class....and have been
friends ever since.
So have our boys...
Anyway....I have a pair of Shiva shell earrings that I wear
all the time.
Really..
All the time
Shannon found a vendor from Tibet that had
such beautiful pendants
and when my back was turned...
look what she got me.
Ahhh....
She almost made my cry
I love it...and it goes perfectly with my earrings.
Little known secret...If I ever get
a tattoo...it will be a tiny
spiral
Lol...but
I don't think that is going to happen.
So I just keep wearing them
Thank you dear friend!

Ok..,Here She Is At Last...My First Czech Glass Button Necklace

This Czech glass button brings to my mind the stunning winter sunsets I sometimes am blessed with seeing out my kitchen window. The summer ones are beautiful too. But a winter sunset..against the storm grey clouds...when the sun tired of giving in to all the northwest rain stands up and says "Here I am" is extra special.

A vintage brass cupid, tiny locket, sweet baby rose, key, and sparkling rhinestone orb complete the vintage feel of this long necklace.
It measures about 30 inches. This is a one of a kind piece. I have only one button of this color and style in my treasure box.
Necklace will come in a beautiful gift box.

I do ship international. Convo me for exact rates

Buttons... Buttons....Learning to Play With Buttons

This is the first step in creating something new....Last weekend Jill (Feathers and Flight) and I had fun dreaming and buying buttons at Gem Faire. Yesterday I sorted through allll my supplies..(really if you knew me you would laugh..I have rooms (really rooms) of beads, lace, ribbon, Christmas ornaments, ephemra on and on.)...pulling out treasures to pair with these stunning hand crafted button gems. Filigree wrapping is new to me, my style for years has been more southwest silver. But..working closely with Jill on our blogs and other craft projects this year has me exploring my more romantic...Jane Austin side. It has always been there...Just hiding I think. Enjoy this journey with me...as I explore a new side of my jewelry design.

Pretty Little Gift Boxes

These last couple of days have been spent playing with my tag and making gift boxes....getting ready for the holidays and all.  Making these little boxes to fill with wonderful treasures has hooked me.  I love the vintage feel of them...One of my favorite finds to stumble upon when out estate sale hunting are the old, old German paper cards and decorations.  As time goes on I will take pictures of some of mine and add them.  Hope all of you are having a fantastic week!
