There was once an attempt to prohibit the consumption of alcohol.  Prohibition didn't work and had to be repealed.  Gun Control will NEVER work.  Unfortunately many Americans will die in the attempt.

The Ineffectiveness Of Gun Control

The effectiveness of totalitarian gun control as described by the commander of the 106th Guards Airborne Division of the Soviet Army.  One of the units sent to suppress an anti-Armenian pogrom in Azerbaijan. "We landed by night, and some of our aircraft came under attack as we did so. One carrying personnel from Tula landed with twenty-two holes in the fuselage. The people thronging around the airfield were armed with sub-machine guns, knives and clubs. I went over to the crowd and said, 'Look! The Army is not a cat to be swung around in the air. Clear the road!' The KPP (Control and Command Post) of the airfield was blocked with KRAZ and KAMAZ trucks loaded with boulders. People started shouting that we wouldn't get through. While I was talking to the crowds my sappers were cutting the wire fence about 200 meters to the left and right of the KPP. I gave the crowds five minutes to think things over. They began jeering and laughing. Within five minutes two companies from my Ryazan regiment had crossed through the holes in the wire. The whole crowd was ordered to lie face down. We kept them there all night, to let them think things over. When we told them to clear off, the next morning, nobody wanted to admit that he had come armed. They all just left their weapons behind. So I said, 'okay, let's just say we found them'."

If gun control doesn't keep firearms out of the hands of criminals (genocidal criminals at that) in the Soviet Union it's not going to do so in the United States Of America.

 

 

Progressives In Action

One attribute of a Progressive is that they regard those who don't mindlessly follow them to be mindless.  They will commit a fraud to impose their falsehood on a real person.  In North Carolina one of them placed a no guns sticker on a place of business without the owners consent.  As noted in the blog post the false no guns sticker places a gun owner in a false violation of a misdemeanor and his life in potential danger.  Progressives have never had a problem with committing murder.

I'm sometimes asked why I oppose Gun Control.  For a political reason.  The armed citizen has a commanding voice.  The disarmed subject can be ignored.  The first Roman Emperor understood this when he replaced the citizen based army of the Roman Republic with a mercenary force loyal to himself.

Once upon a time ago I purchased a coffee cup at a gun show with this image:

I took it to my place of work, at the time I was the security officer on the night shift at the former Midway Hospital in Saint Paul and it was converted into an office building for the Health East Care System.  Apparently someone saw the coffee cup with the image on it and felt threatened by it.  Can you believe that?  The site supervisor for the security department had to ask me to remove the cup from the site.  And we let these morons vote?

This is looting.  Looters don't need their victims to shoot back.  Looters need disarmed victims.

The parasite basically views the productive population as a form of livestock.  Therefore anyone who objects to this status or otherwise resists the moral and legal primacy of the parasite is identified as a diseased animal and is dealt with as such.  Sometimes the whole hominid herd is subjected to culling, as the Ukrainians were under Stalin, Lenin’s command to kill the Kulaks weren't aberrations, they're simply instances of the normal behavior of parasites in power.  We must understand that no one is entitled to a damned thing.

On Patriotism

Racial characteristics aren't chosen and therefore irrelevant to Human actions.   What's subject to choice is a person’s beliefs and the actions derived from those beliefs.  And for the record McVeigh himself was a racial collectivist who rejected Human rights and Human reason.  As a result he rejected Human reality. The actual Patriot Movement at that time fully rejected McVeigh, his beliefs, and his actions.  This rejection was based on the actual moral values that were actually chosen.  And speaking of language the words Gun Nut is a pejorative term used to dehumanize a firearms owner and justify lethal acts of state violence against them.

On Tools

A tool is simply a means to an end.  The ultimate end is Human Life.  We must understand that a fear of tools is simply irrational.  An employee of the Healtheast Care System in St. Paul was afraid of an image of several firearms on a coffee cup used by one of the security guards.  A customer at a supermarket was afraid of the light of a bar code scanner touching her groceries.  A firearm and a bar code scanner are simply tools.  There is no reason to fear them.  Alcoholism wasn’t caused by a supply of alcohol, but by the alcoholics.  The Holocaust wasn’t caused by a supply of Zyklon-B, but by the beliefs of the perpetrators.  Zyklon-B was developed and marketed as an insecticide.  The Oklahoma City Bombing wasn’t caused by a supply of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil, but by the beliefs of perpetrators.  9/11 wasn’t caused by airliners and box cutters, but by the beliefs of perpetrators.  Any horror wasn’t caused by the tools that were used but by the beliefs of the perpetrators.  There is simply no reason to fear a tool.

A firearm is simply a tool.

 

 

On Gun Control

The people who imposed Prohibition on this nation truly believed that outlawing the possession and consumption of alcohol would bring about the end of drunkenness and no evidence to the contrary would ever change their beliefs.  They were absolutely wrong and good people died for their beliefs.  The intellectual and moral successors to the Prohibitionists ignore the facts about criminal and terrorist actions and now insist on imposing their fantasies on us by force without regard to the actual deaths and other negative effects that will be inflicted on us.  In practical effect innocent people will die so they can enjoy a positive feeling about themselves.  If this isn't willful depravity then what what is?

 

Opinions

There are always collaborators.

I thought about typing in a long winded rant about how the Greenies hate Human life so much that they don't care how much Human death and suffering results from their feel-good posturing.  The vermin hate us.  The worst of them wish to see us dead.  The simple fact of Reality in my own personal view is that Environmentalists are nothing less than Enemies of Mankind and it's about [expletive] time that they're dealt with as such which is as vermin fit solely for extermination. 

A state that practices Gun Control is always dysfunctional.

Someone once stated that he wanted Wayne LaPierre, the executive vice president of NRA, to be murdered.  I responded.  The advocates of Gun Control believe they're good people.  In fact they're Evil.

In Stock

Once upon a time ago, about the time I was posting the ASCII text versions of The Resister on Usenet, I bought an AK-47 chambered in 5.56 NATO.  It had the thumb hole stock mandated at the time by our masters in Washington.  As a former combat rifleman I took it upon myself to properly zero in the sights on the weapon.  As I was doing this at the Moon Valley range down in Eden Prairie I was rudely interrupted.  It appeared that a scraggly young man wanted to sell me a folding stock for the AK-47.  I said no.  He repeated his offer.  I repeated my refusal.  Eventually he got the point.  First, I actually had no interest in a folding stock for the rifle.  The folding stock for the AK-47 series rifle is copied from the MP-38/MP-40 series machine pistols issued by the Wehrmacht.  They are inherently unstable and were used both by the Wehrmacht and the Soviets to shorten the weapon for carriage within an aircraft or armored vehicle. An acceptable trade off for them but not for me.  Second. folding stocks at the time were illegal.  I was not about to ruin a weapon by installing an inferior stock simply for the sake of disobeying our self appointed masters.  The proper way to deal with a master is to air out his head.  By his demeanor and his insistence on selling the stock to my unwilling self I concluded that this fellow was a stooge for the BATF.  I refused to fall into the trap.  A simple bit of common sense can go a long way.

Misuse

Tools with other useful objects are misused many times.  Properly used Ammonium Nitrate is a fertilizer.  Fuel Oil is a fuel.  A rented moving van is a moving van.  Timothy McVeigh with co-conspirator Terry Nicolls misused those items to make a truck bomb.  The actual cause of horrors isn't the tools to commit the horrors but the beliefs of the perpetrators. 

 

Constitutional Amendment Proposal

I would supplement The Second Amendment with the following:

The People of the United States, being the sovereign authority of the nation, shall not be disarmed.  To petition for, to enact, or to enforce legislation to disarm the People shall be a capital offense.  The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
