New new home

I know you've seen one similar,
but this one's different honest!

Another new neighbour in the lane,
lots of changes this year in more ways than one.

I used tempting turquoise on this one,
and I have re-discovered it and fallen in love again.
SU do have some gorgeous blues!

Couldn't resist that heart over the chimney again :)

Now, I know you trust me really, (lol)
but to save you looking back, here's the one I did earlier!

'Happy' whatever it is you are doing!

Rudolph Day in May

It's that time of the month again....25th.....
which means it's time to make a couple of cards for Rudolph Day Challenge,
and 52 CCT (christmas card throwdown)

Here's what I made using the new In Colours from Stampin' Up!.
Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron on Naturals Ivory Card

I tried a shaped card using the Circle Framelits,
made a circle frame, and made up a little scene

I inked some areas with a sponge dauber,
fussy cut house and tree,
and added seam binding ribbon

Same die, different shape slightly

Tried a wreath with Painted Petals.....
didn't turn out as good as I'd imagined (as usual!)

So I added some punched Itty Flowers from snippets of card.
I love how I can stamp some of the Painted Petals and punch them out.

Added a bow with a snippet of ribbon,
and seeing as I used lots more snippets,
I'll pop over to the Snippets Playground, as I haven't been to play for aaaaaages,
and there's an awesome prize to win ;)

Happy Bank Holiday Monday

christmas cheer

I know, I know, but it's great to get some made each month!

Today's offering uses Holiday Home,
embossed the snow, (from an EF I won in the Snippets Playground),
embossed two lines across the middle (honest!),
stamped and cut out the houses,
slapped 'em on with a few trees, smidgen of colouring in,
sentiment from Sweet Essentials

My little 'town' means I can enter 52CCT  'O little town' challenge

and the layout fits Happy Little Stampers May sketchchallenge

Hope this has brought some 'cheer' your way!

Holiday Home

The stamp set Holiday Home from Stampin' Up!
was great fun to play with for xmas,
but it's great for other events too.

This was a little welcome for a cousin who has moved to Kent,
the 'Garden of England', to be nearer family.
I cut an oval aperture and mounted some fun sunny looking paper behind.
Then cut and mounted the houses, colouring in the centre one.
I then punched a small heart, to match the door, for the chimney 'smoke'.
The sentiment is actually in the same set.

I hope you are keeping warm wherever you are

Last ones from Christmas

Just a few last minute ones I made this year to share.

I have loved these stamp sets,
they have been so much fun.

Some I made for neighbours

The following were a happy accident,
I found if I embossed in white,
then with a holographic powder slightly offset,
it created a shadow...

This was also a happy accident,
in that, to hide a mark I punched some stars to stick over
the offending area, and so ended up with a more is more type of card lol!

Well, you'll be pleased to know that I'm done with last Christmas
(I think!),

which is just as well,
because we now have a new seasonal catalogue
from Stampin' Up!,
with lots of new goodies to be had,
and some for free!

as it's sale-a-bration time too!

Plus I will have to start prepping for next Christmas soon,
so that I can enter the Rudolph day challenge on 25th of each month.

I hope you are having a good week

a bit special...

Here's one I put a lot more elements into...

That's one of the great things about these sets from Stampin' Up!,
you can use some, or all of the stamps!

I fussy cut some of the embellishments.

I discovered I could do the mini wreaths
by using a hole punch for the centre,
and a slightly bigger circle punch for the outside.

Happy Thursday!

Happy new home

Can I say hello to my new followers!
I hope you enjoy popping by,
I do appreciate your support,
and all comments are welcome.

I just knew that Holiday Home stamp set from SU
would be a much used set.

Here's a simple one for a new neighbour

The heart is from the owl punch,
I added a faux stitched border,
and some glitter.

Class act

Happy weekend everyone,
thanks for stopping by.

I thought I'd show what we did in a recent class
with coordinating projects
in Coastal Cabana

A box of tags courtesy of Pootles
using the scallop tag topper punch,
petite petals, and sentiment from a current free set

Then our new Curvy Keepsake box die,
with one of it's tags cut from glimmer paper

Plus the card you may have seen on the previous post.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the tiffany style projects.

I also shared some of the same projects at a workshop,
and here's some more examples of the different styles.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
and I hope to be back soon.....
lots to share!

Just to prove it, here's both together!
Both using Holiday Home from Stampin' Up!

Left is on whisper white, right on very vanilla.

Have a good day,
and hop over to Sarn's blog to see everyone else's designs

Moshulu sandals

Hiya
so did you make anything shoe coloured?!

I had a quick go at using some Naturals cardstock from SU
just as an experiment, as I suspected it would hold water better,
so I brushed it with water,
splodged some ink on my mat,
and brushed it over a card front.

Inks being those from this mornings post!
Hello Honey, Pistachio Pudding, Calypso Coral.

Hmmmm not overly successful eh?!
had a quick play with a new stamp set,
but I think I may be back....

Looks brighter in the flesh,
but as for that stamp set.....
watch this space, because omg it is seriously cute!
