Happy Patchwork Birthday

Happy Birthday to a BFF

started with a patchwork paper, matted onto stitched rectangles
(a prize from the Snippets Playground),

then stamped and punched some more hexagons,
including some from glimmer paper,
(she has to have bling!)
decorated with a button, twine and rhinestones.

Have a great weekend

Six sided Sampler from Stampin' Up!

Here's one I cased from Juliesstampintime.com
I liked this one so much when I saw it,
I had to rush off and make it immediately!
Does that ever happen to you?!
It really doesn't show how pretty it is in the photo.
(I know we always say that, but it's true!)

I used Crumb Cake card, which is similar to kraft card.
I stamped and punched the hexagons in Marina Mist and Melon Mambo.
The butterfly was stamped with white craft ink,
but it didn't show very well,
so I went over it with my white gel pen.
Some rhinestones add a bit of sparkle.

Sampler patchwork

Hiya!
How's it going?!

Hoping to give you some more inspiration this week.......

Here's using the Six-sided Sampler, and only two colours, nice and simple

I think I cased this from Pinterest, so do let me know if it's your idea!
Cute butterflies and Rhinestones add detail.

Special Friend

I made a similar card for Alan's mum last month,
but forgot to show you this one I made for a friend.

I love using the doilies, and the patchwork effect is so versatile.
The stamp is the Six-sided Sampler from Stampin' Up!,
and one of the things I love about Stampin' Up! is that there's often a matching punch!
In this case the Hexagon Punch makes easy work of punching out the stamped images.
It looks so neat and professional too.
I mounted some hexagons on dimensionals (foam pads),
and there's some silver glimmer paper for added bling.
The envelope was decorated too,
using the envelope framelits, that makes easy work of lining your envelopes to match.

Special Lady

Hello!
I don't know if you've noticed, but I haven't posted as often lately.....
no? how very dare you! lol
Well, I've had a horrible cold, and I still feel below par,
but I've soldiered on, like you do....
ok, you can stop the 'air violins' now thank you!

Anyhow, I had to show you what I made for a very special lady...my M-I-L....
She's the best!

If you only like clean and simple..LOOK AWAY NOW!
Sometimes I just can't help myself...sorry!

I used the Six-sided Sampler stamp set from Stampin Up!
(that's a bit of a mouthful!)
The Hexagon punch saves on the cutting out, and gives a much neater finish.
Spot the silver glimmer paper?
Doily, flowers, itty bitty punched flowers and dinky heart, (from the owl punch), plus Rhinestones,
all mounted on Melon Mambo cardstock, with a Gingham Garden paper border.

I hope to be back a bit more often, so I look forward to seeing you soon!
