Mischievous Mouse

Inspired by Emma Goddard, who does an online Card & a Cuppa.

I love this layout idea that can use any paper and any image or focal point

Mischievous Mice is a very cute set, great for all ages.
I used a ribbon maker (like a large comb) to tie the double bow,
and left long tails.

A few enamel dots are the finishing touch.

Happy Easter!

Mischievous Mice

I've been doing Emma Goddard's Online Card & a Cuppa,

it's been a delight to have an hour a week to myself to just "play".

Emma's designs are lovely,  I always learn something, and they can be used with lots of sets we own.

This is a slimline card with 3 panels.
I altered the size slightly to fit the SU Slimline Envelopes,
and used Mischievous Mice for the images, coloured using the Blend pens.

The hardest part was lining up the balloon, which is quite large.

The balloon string on the stamp wasn't fitting my angle, so I masked that and drew my own.

Twine decorates the middle panel, and enamel dots add that little extra.
These pretty envelopes fit the Matte Decorative Dots packs too ;)

Hope this makes you smile.....there's so much sadness around.
We are all thinking of Ukraine and praying for peace.

Snowbody better for Rudolph Day

 Hiya

I'm entering the  January Rudolph Day Challenge with these cute snowpeople

I used an offcut of Be Dazzling paper, left from die cutting a rectangle.

Coloured in with Blend pens.

I finally added a sentiment...........
My intention was to make 10 xmas cards a month..........
so far failing miserably, but below are my good intentions!

Hopefully these will end up on cards eventually!

Hey Girlfriend

 Hey there

Sharing a card I made using the Hey Girlfriend Stamp Set (154516)

I used a stencil to create the background using different inks and a Blender Brush.
Coloured the girls with Stampin' Blends Pens.

Die cut the greeting from Birthday Chick Dies,
and the name was stamped with an old set  Labeler Alphabet

I used Happy Thoughts (154507) for the inside....a fab sentiment set.
Popped it all on black and Magenta Card.

Have a fab day

Snailed It

Hello again

I finally got time to play with new toys today, in fact they were from a very special toy box.......

from Pixie's Snippets Playground no less..........

Part of the prize was a set of circle stencils seen below......
it has decorative edges to use too.........I just need to learn how to use them properly!
It came with those blending brushes that are so popular now........
even Stampin' Up! stock them now.

Can anyone recommend any online tutorials?......I need basic!

This is a new Stampin' Up! set called Snailed It...........
it's great for adding to envelopes but for cards too.......
I am intending to send out some happy mail "just because"
I think we all need something to smile about these days!

I'm also entering the following challenges:

https://happylittlestampers.blogspot.com/search/label/Stencil%20Challenge

Such luxury that I actually have time to enter some challenges!

Have a good day

Another Good Man

 Hi there

we gave Mum a good send off on Tuesday.

It was a lovely day all things considered, the sun shone,

everything went to plan, and we laughed as well as cried.

With immediate family there were about 20 of us.

We were so lucky that we were able to attend,

and to have been with her during her last week on this earth.

So many have suffered much worse during these exceptional times.

I have not posted much lately, so have much to catch up on!

Using those lovely papers again, giving the illusion of texture,
and A Good Man stamp set.
I coloured him in with Blends, and wrapped some twine around.
It was a simple card but the stitched dies add lovely detail.

I hope you have a good weekend

Flowering Blooms

Hello again
I'm back with some thank you cards today.
I think Flowering Blooms may get missed in the new catalogue,
but oh my goodness it's beautiful.
Some lovely images and sentiments too.

I'm sharing the main image here.
I was going to do some colouring in, but you know what?
I didn't think it needed it, do you?
The image is so striking and full of depth,
so I decided to stamp it in two colours to show you how different it can be.

Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green (love the names!)
I wish my photos did it justice. You have to see it to appreciate.
I chose one of the sentiments, die cut it from a lovely shape,
then trimmed it and mounted it onto a full shape cut from DSP.
Hopefully you can see what I mean :)

I treated myself to some color collection sets of DSP....Brights in this case,
4 designs and soooooo useful to coordinate with.
I then decided to add some rhinestones....
guess what I coloured them with? Yep...Stampin Blends!
Works a treat for coordination....

In fact, I liked this set so much, I did a couple more....

Melon Mambo colour this time, the image is so lovely it doesn't need much more,
Do you agree?.

These were thank you cards for some of the staff at the Hospital where my Mum is, sadly.
Lockdown means we cannot visit, and it's unbelievably stressful.
However, the staff have facilitated a video chat and a comfort pebble,
plus email messages that are delivered to her.
Words cannot express how devastated we are, as she is very poorly.
I have shed tears for others whose loved ones have died alone,
and I fear we may suffer the same fate.
Fingers crossed we can get her home........

Take care,
be kind to each other,
and cherish your time with loved ones...
