May New release images at All Dressed Up

Afternoon on this sunny Bank Holiday (a phrase that is not heard often enough!!)
And to make this day even better - there is a new release of four images at All Dressed Up and they are perfect for Fathers Day and for the schools breaking up for summer which is not that far away!!
I got to play with Daddys Day. Love this cute little bear. You can see all the new images here at the blog and you can see the inspiration from others on the Design Team.

The papers are from Echo Park and cut with a Mama Elephant moutain die. I added the matching Enamel shapes from Doodlebug and fussy cut around the image which I had coloured using Copics. I added a thin black boarded with a fineliner pen just the frame the image.
I hope you like it and will continue to enter your cards into the ADU challenge.

Thanks for popping by,

Koalaty Pun!!

Morning - How cool is this Dude?? So cool - it's his name! This is Keith the Cool Koala
And you know how much I love a pun... so I hope you agree this is a "Koalaty" card... you get it??

I die cut the edge of the card with a Puffy cloud die from Lawn Fawn and covered the corner of the base card with green spotty paper from My Favourite Things - Just delightful Citrus paper. I cut a balloon shape from the same paper.
I used 3d foam to attach Keith and the balloon and used a thin black marker pen to make it look like he was holding the balloon.
I used Doodlebug Love letters sticker to spell out "Koalaty" and the other words are from Harolds ABC alphabet stamps which I stamped with black ink
I used a little bit of white  and black pen to add some little details.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Keith's fur - Cool Grey 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 with a little Black
Ears - Baby Pink, Cocktail Pink & Antique Pink
Eyes - Pear Green.

I would like to enter Keith the Cool Koala into the following challenges -

Have a "Koalaty" day!

Happy Birthday challenge at TPS

Morning -
Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Birthdays. I have used this fab image called Happy Birthday. The whole Balloon theme just seemed perfect!

I covered the base card with balloon paper from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Happy Place pad. I tied some pink and gold sparkly twine around the front. I die cut the image and the black surround using a My Favourite Things inside outside stitched frame die.
I also die cut the greeting from black using a Lawn Fawn die. Finally I coloured an Anemone chipboard balloon with promarkers and then glaze which I sprinkled with glitter crystal stars.

I coloured the image using these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Spice, Coral, Soft Peach, Blush, Antique White.
Hair & Box -  Buttercup, Pineapple crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Ribbons & Balloons - Poppy & Ruby, Baby Pink & Cocktail pink, Carmine & Magenta.
Skirt - Pink Mittens, Baby Pink & Cocktail pink.

Warm Grey 2 to shade white areas.

Hope you like this latest card and I would love to see your entries in the challenge - you can enter with any image, not just The Paper Shelter and still win digis!!

Half Pint Heroines Balloon

I forgot to blog this card... been a hectic week at work and think I've just crashed out when I've got in so not really done much blogging recently but now I'm on catch up... And I've got a lovely new laptop to play with! (Although its taking some getting used too!)

I made this card for the Balloon theme challenge over at I love promarkers
I've had these stamps for a while but forget I have them and they are really versatile. This is from a collection from Waltzing Mouse Stamps - Half Pint Heroines.

The papers are from My Favourite things and they are currently ... my favourite! The pad is called Dots and stripes Sorbet. The greeting is from Pebbles and all the flowers are from Prima flowers and from my huge stash.
(Which reminds me I've just bought a trouser hanger to put my ribbon reels on... I'll post a picture if it works??!)
The gems are Jade from Papermania and I used a punch which rounds the corners and did this on the black mount card also.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers -
Skin - Soft peach, Blush & Antique white.
Balloon - Cerise, Frosted Pink & Lobster & Soft Lime, Tulip & Sunflower.
Hair & Basket - Apricot, Nutmeg, Raw sienna & Cocoa.
Bags - Oasis & Turqoise.
Powder blue for the outline and background.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Layout
Through the purple haze - Flowers.
A gem of a challenge - One for the girls.

Right folks - all from me. Time for bed  - Up early again in the morning. (ie 5.30am! boo!)
Take care,
Liz (:(|)x
