Christmas Chris All round.

Afternoon - Sorry i'm late today. I have no excused - I just wasn't organised so this card has literally just been finished in the Monkey Hut.
I've gone with a very rotund theme... Round card base, spotty paper, round die cut and a "portly" image from Dr Digi called Christmas Chris

I've left a space above the ribbon as I plan to customise this card for someone nearer to Christmas. I can add there name then along the curve with gold letters.
The fab gold spotty paper is from The Gilded collection from Die Cuts with A View and I mounted this onto  round base card. I die cut a circle using Lawn Fawn stitched dies from an embossed card piece from Spellbinders. The ribbon was from my ever growing stash! and the wooden embellishment was from kaisercraft. I used Christmas Holly stickles on the leaves and added 3 red gems.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers for Christmas Chris -
Skin - Usual with Cocktail pink cheeks and ears.
Hooves - Warm Grey 5,4, 3 &1
Holly - Lush & Forest Green
Berries & nose - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal red
Antlers & Belly- Light Fawn, Tan & Saffron
Onesie - Cinnamon, Cocoa & henna
Pudding - Walnut, Cinnamon, Aubergine & Burgundy (Could almost be the ingrediants!!)

Hope you are likely my Christmas cards!
See you soon,

The Fabulous dancing Squirrel.

I have a massive confession to make... I made this card for todays new challenge over at I LOVE PROMARKERS using an image from this fortnights sponsor Fabrika Fantasy called Dancing Squirrel.
What I didn't think of at the time was that the theme for the challenge was to use Pastel colours...

In my defence - life is a little manic at the mo!
I've used Simple Stories paper from the I heart summer collection and teamed it with the wood effect paper from Glitz and a little strip of orange card. I die cut a circle of pastel blue shimmer buzzkill using a lawn fawn stitched circle die. The wooden heart is from studio calico and I added a little yellow gem. Finally I added the wooden greeting using some pin flair glue.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the squirrel -
Pumpkin, sunset & berry red,
Grass- aniseed, apple green & forest green.
Warm grey 2 for shading
Edged with cloud blue
Baby pink & antique pink on mouths and ears.
Flowers - canary & poppy

I hope you like this card and get chance to join in the challenge... Don't forget the theme though - like me!!

Luxurious Fairy from The Paper Shelter.

Morning - There is a new challenge starting today over at The Paper Shelter and the theme is a real favourite that you all love... Fairies! And there are some fabulous fairy images to pick from like this one I've used called Exotic Enchantment.

I was  asked to make this card for a friend at work to give his wife for there Wedding anniversary - which when we looked was celebrated with wood - hence the little wooden hearts from Studio Calico that I have used. I also die cut the letters from Balsa Wood - This took a few goes through my sizzix with letters from Die-namics to cut right though but it worked pretty well.

The background paper is from My Minds Eye On Trend 2 collection and is a lovely navy colour with gold foil. I used a corner rounder punch on the base layer. I used the greeting from the same collections 6x6 pad and mounted this on pink satin to make it stand out. I also used this to make the little flag in the top corner.

I used some Diamond stickles on the wings of the fairy and a little Gold pen on the hair clip. Finally I added a few gems and dots of stickles to look like she was sprinkling fairy dust.
I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Dress & Bow - Pink Mittens, Pink Carnation, Cerise, Magenta & Hot Pink.
Wings  - Honeydew.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

I would love to see all your entries into the challenge...
Have a good day,

Making Grimble Grumble Bright.

This is Grimble Grumble from Dr Digis House of Stamps.
Officially he is a Gnome but I decided to use him as a Christmas Elf and make Grimble Grumble a Bright and Merry chap whether he likes it or not!!  I think he is rather pleased with his sparkly beard!

I used two different patterns of Doodlebug papers from the Frosty Friends collection. I cut this at an angle which is a great way to use up some scraps. I also cut a circle using my Friskars cutter and mounted on to this another smaller circle cut from a plain piece from the same Doodlebug collection.
I added the Wooden "Merry & Bright" which is from Hobbycraft and scattered some gems around on the card for a bit of bling.  I used some Star dust stickles on his beard and trim on his hat and I also used a gold pen on his buckle and the bell on his hat.

I used these pro / flexmarkers -
Skin - Coral, Soft peach, Blush, Antique White - I added some baby pink on his nose to make it rosey
Beard - Warm Greys
Boots - Ocean Teal, Turqouise, Marine & Emerald
Shirt - Imperial Purple & Red Violet.
Pants & hat - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal red.
Jacket & eyes - Powder blue & Bluebell.
Belt and soles - Cool grey 2 - 5.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
The Pencil case - B- Bright.
52 Christmas card - For a man
CRAFT - add some bling
Crafty girls creation - atg

I apologise its a Christmas Card but it is only 98 sleeps away!
Right thats all from me for now... got to go and creep around the house all day as the other half has been on nights so is snoring away...
Take Care,

Stamping Bella Challenge and colour mapping

I made today's card for the latest Stamping Bella layout challenge. I love the stamped images - this one has been out for a bit but is new to me and this is the first time I've coloured it with Promarkers.

This is the Sketch that the challenge was to make a card based on.

The background papers are from Websters Pages - Beautiful Chic. Its is a really stunning collection so expect to see much more of them!  I added glaze to the bath to make it look like the old traditional enamel type - I also added some to the Champagne Glaze glass. I also added loads of Stickles glitter to the bubbles and on her leg to make it look wet and shiny.

I added green Doodlebug pearls and some Pink gem stones. The greeting is from Jillibean - Soup Labels and I raided my ribbon stash to find some matching the bath colour to tie it altogether.

The Promarker colours I used are  -
Bath - Burgundy & Maroon.
Hair - Vanilla, Pineapple Crush & Sleigh Bells
Bubbles - Carmine & Baby Pink
Cushion - Meadow Green, Apple Cider & Holly

Mums Birthday.

It was my Mum's birthday yesterday so I made this card for her. I've used a Stamping Bella image - coloured as always with Promarkers. ( I'm currently taking an online colouring class but more about that another time...)

I've had the paper for a little while and not really been sure what to do with it (It is from American Crafts Dear Lizzy - Lucky Charm) but I thought the lace and ribbon matched it perfectly along with the baking theme.

I added some glitter and gems along with a greeting from Craftworks Cards. The top corner looked a little bare so I added a couple of flags made from scraps and a little co-ordinating button. I also added a little glazed to the mixing bowl but it doesn't seem to show in the photos.
