A robin created on a tablet, a Samsung galaxy note, with a photograph for a background.

Two pages from sketchbook 26, I used promarker pens for the one above and brusho inks and pen for the picture below. I also textured the page with newspaper.

Sketchbook Pages

One page from sketchbook 26 - patterns with pens, probably promarkers. This sketchbook is A4 size while the pictures below are from a smaller sketchbook [8x5"], a moleskine. The moleskine [no 30] has much better paper than the book above. I can't remember what make the book above is...but it was cheap. And as I fill a lot of books, cheap sometimes wins over quality. The one thing I do like about it though is that it is bigger than the moleskine. Also with a cheap book I don't mind ripping the odd page out if the drawing is too awful but I wouldn't like to that with the moleskine.

More Sweets [SC]

Two more pictures for the Sketchbook Challenge - Sweets.
For the top one I made a pattern and used promarker pens to colour in and on the bottom one I used a mixture of things - collaged paper [under the sweet shapes], watercolours, wax crayon, watersoluble crayon, liner pen.

Sweet Tree [SC]

I've not done anything recently for the Sketchbook Challenge so I thought I would give it a go yesterday.
The theme this month is 'Sweets! Sugar and spice and all things nice'.
I don't know why but a tree with sweets growing on it came into my mind, so that is what I did.

Sunday 27 January 2013

Pages from Sketchbook 26

I've textured all the pages first with newspaper/magazine transfer, then applied watercolour over. I used liner pen, brush pens and promarker pens for the drawings on top.
