I Love NY

It's my last official weekly post on The Ink Pad Blog... for now, that is. Because, of course, the online store will remain open and I'm sure we'll be posting samples and other fun stuff from time to time. But this seemed like a great time to celebrate how much we love NYC and we also love (and plan to keep in-stock!) the exclusive line of city-themed stamps and stencils Michelle Ward designed for The Ink Pad!

This card features the Map, Postmark and Empire State Building from the Manhattan Map set; the Taxi and "I Love NY" sentiment from the Skyline set; and some of the manhole covers from the Manhole NYC setthe Manhole Hex set and even the Mini Manhole set

All of this goodness is displayed against a background of gelprints made with both Manhole Stencil and Mask sets, volumes one and two.

Many thanks for all of the love and support from our friends all over the world. The brick and mortar store may be closing, but we hope The Ink Pad Online will live on for years to come! ♥

Stencils, Ink-Blending and the Dreaded One Layer Card!

Something you seldom see me do is a one layer card (!) with a plain white background (!!) I definitely start cards with the intention of them having one or the other; but then I get a big smudge and either fussy-cut or add more layers. But not this time! Ok, yes, there are gems in the sky and it's tempting to think they're covering up... well... something! But no, those are 100% optional, entirely gratuitous gems! Head over to The Ink Pad Blog to see the whole card and share my triumph, lol! ♥♥♥

What's Going on in This Photo??

It's the last Stencil Sunday of 2019, which seemed to call for something a bit special. So I made a Manhole Mandala (yes, really!) using Michelle Ward's beautiful Manhole Cover Stencils and Stamps from plus a few basic circle and heart dies. All the details are on The Ink Pad Blog, as are the facts about the Big News. Because The Ink Pad is moving to a brand new location... SOON! Meanwhile there are sales galore at the current shop, you should probably check it out! ;)

...Hello...

...it's Stencil Sunday on The Ink Pad Blog where I've got a very very layery card that features Michelle Ward's NYC Manhole Cover Stencils and Masks and Manhole Covers II. For the record, if you had asked me a couple of months ago, "Hey Lauren! Do you need Manhole Cover Stencils?" I might not have immediately answered YES, but as it turns out I use both of these All. The. Time. (They're available as stamps, too, btw; just sayin'...) ♥
