{Something New}

new car seat time!
yep...big girl beds...big girl car seats...and kindergarten...who approved all this?!?!:)
ha

she was really getting snug in her old one (that used to be jane's) so we decided this was the perfect time with all our summer road trips on the horizon.

we enjoyed many a good year with you!!

of course just like with a new car...the cup holders are the best part!!:)

Time Has Flown

It seems like only yesterday we were here

excited about the first day of school

ready to meet our new teachers

ready to make new friends

ready for new adventures

and ready for so much more

and now...

we are here

 at the end of second grade and kindergarten

looking a little older 

(yikes!)

a little wiser

{notice the flip-flops...I am a big "keep your feet protected" kind of mom...they begged me all year to wear flip-flops like their friends, we compromised...they got one day and one day only...the last day of school!}

and a little ready for some much needed fun and relaxation

at home

It was a wonderful day

filled with fun, games and friends

but there was some sadness too

You see...we had wonderful teachers this year

teachers that helped our little angels grow and nurtured them so dearly

we were so lucky!!

our end of the school year tradition includes a dinner out at a restaurant of their choice

so we ended up here (2nd year in a row!)

We had a wonderful dinner 

we  talked about our summer ahead, played endless games of I-Spy,

and enjoyed being together

We went out for ice-cream afterwards

and in the car ride home Janey said, 

"You two are the best parents a girl could ever want!"

Wow...talk about making our day!

so...our summer begins tomorrow...

come back for our summer list, our first official "Craft Wednesday" and a surprise dinner...wow I feel tired already!:)

And Then There Were Four...

Sweet Little Aubrey!

Checked her teeth situation on Monday

and she had one top tooth popping through.

by Wednesday....

there were four!!!!!

If she can manage a smile

I think we all can!:)

I Lost My Third Tooth...

...in Janey's words...

"I was playing on the landing with my toys

then I decided to wiggle my loose tooth with my finger

and then with my tongue

I couldn't feel my tooth

 so I looked on the ground and it wasn't there

 then I realized that it was in a different place in my mouth.

 

Then I called my friend Taylor

because he has been wanting me to pull it out.

And I called my dad. 

That night I drew a picture

and wrote a letter for the Tooth Fairy

{Dear Tooth Fairy,
You are probably wondering why I am giving you two teeth.
Beacuse I am giving you my first tooth too.
Love Janey}
Then I put, my tooth, letter and picture under my pillow

Can you see where my tooth is missing?

In the morning I found $1 and a note from the Tooth Fairy

Big Day

Today at breakfast Aubrey used the sign for "more"

all by herself!!!

The girls and I were very excited!

We immediately started cheering and clapping for her!

Look Who's 10 Months Today

Another month...

another month of loving this sweet little angel

she is the one single thing

that can get everyone in the house smiling...

in an instant

her little being

brings such joy

 

she loves to sit in her seat

 and eat Cheeriooooos

while her big sissies have breakfast

oh the things she is learning there

she is also quite the little scientist

learning lots about gravity

as she picks up one of those above mentioned Cheerios

and drops them from her seat and watches them fall

then usually picks up another

and drops it from the other side

a girls gotta have balance right?

she is crawling so much further away from me now
{love that drool}

this is a view I see alot
{sigh...guess it's only the beginning there!}

we read these books everyday before

naptime

and this one every night before bed

she loves to kiss all the animals

"nite nite"

books are one of her favorite things

so is snuggling her blankie

always busy

and loving "big girl" toys

{plastic spaghetti anyone...?}

getting her out of bed

is one of my favorite times of day

except when I'm a little blurry

eyed at 3 in the morning!
