Love you a LATTE!

I couldn't let the weekend go by without making *another* coffee themed card for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

I had this idea pop in my head late (always late) last night and could finally put the finishing touches on it this morning!

I think this one shouts a little more fall... (now, if only the weather would get the hint!)

Love you a LATTE

I stamped the mug from Simon Says Stamp's What's Brewing?, randomly stamped some "falling" leaves (from Lawn Fawn)- colored with copics and topped with some Wink of Stella. I ink splattered my white cardbase with various Distress Inks, layered a woodgrain embossed piece with a kraft doily and thought it was still missing something... so out came the gold paper and love diecut from Winnie & Walter!

Latte Thanks!

Happy Weekend!

Popping in to share a card I was able to make today...

I checked in over on Flickr and noticed that there was a new challenge in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr group. Challenge #25 is white on white with a touch of color... pretty tough for me because I LOVE color!

I decided to use the Simon Says Stamp set What's Brewing. I randomly stamped & clear embossed the small mug from the set on white card stock to add an extra layer and some texture. Pulled out a doily from my stash and finished it off with some clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Latte Thanks!

It was really hard to stop and not add more color to this card! LOL

Wedding Succulents

Friends of ours got married last month in beautiful Zion, Utah.

With a brand new baby (& toddler) we weren't able to attend, but we still wanted to send the happy couple a card and happy wishes! From some photos I had seen of the wedding, succulents were apart of their decorations so what a better choice than to put some succulents on their card!?

Wedding Succulents

I was still in the Distress Ink water-coloring mood when I made this, and decided to try out my newest colors (Abandoned Coral & Mermaid Lagoon- LOVE THEM!). Kept the layout pretty simple with a woodgrain stamped kraft strip and added a modern look with the hexagon embossing.

I hope they've received this by now! Wishing them tons of love on their new journey together and man & wife! ♥

Birthday Cacti

Back again!

This time with a card I made using one of the images I colored during Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge!
I had an itch to do some watercoloring, and I just love using distress inks with that technique.  And since I live in the desert I thought watercolored cacti would be appropriate! ;)

I layered and masked the cactus from this Hero Arts, Stamp Your Own Cactus set, and created this little desert scene.  The orange bloom is from the Simon Says Stamp Succulents set.

Birthday Cactus

I kept everything one layer except for the flower (because I forgot to add it while I was stamping & masking- oops!) Finished it off with a sentiment and sequins of course!

Thanks for swinging by!

You're the Best!

Happy Monday!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

We did all we could to stay out of the heat, we've had 100+ degree temps & extreme heat warnings for days... blah!

Anyway, just thought I'd pop in to share the card that I made for my dad for Father's Day!

You're the Best Succulents

I love these succulents stamps from Simon Says Stamps! I've *just* expanded my real succulents collection (and want more!) in my garden, they are SO easy!

That's all for today, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Spring Abby!

Still on baby waiting mode... 6 days until my due date! and my mojo is on it's way on vacation...

I'm trying to stay crafty to keep my mind busy until "D-day"... so when I saw the newest Simon Says Stamp flickr challenge is watercolor as well as the new Wednesday Challenge- April Showers bring Spring Flowers, I just had to play along!

This is my first time watercoloring a 'person' I definitely still need some more practice (and possibly some more skin tone inks!) but I love this new Abby's Spring Showers stamp set- she's so sweet!

Happy Spring Abby!

Hope you are all finally enjoying some Spring weather where-ever you are!

Thanks for stopping by!

{Dino} Easter Egg Wreath!

Couldn't let this week pass by without sneaking in another Easter card!

I love seeing festive holiday wreaths hanging year round and while browsing Pinterest and my blog reader came up with this fun idea for an Easter card!

Using the Spring/Easter theme and colors from the latest Sparkle & Shine Challenge's inspiration photo

and the sketch Deconstructed Sketch No. 195

I came up with this!

Dino Easter Egg wreath

The eggs and the 'Easter' sentiment are from Lawn Fawn's Critters from the Past & Happy Everything sets, the Happy die cut is from Simon Says Stamp, sequins & die cut tag from Pretty Pink Posh of course!

I also added some sparkle using my Wink of Stella pen- hard to see in the photo above so I tried to get a better shot here...

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter holiday weekend!

Tiddly Inks- Charmed!

Happy Tuesday!

It's time for another Tiddly Inks Challenge!

This week's theme is pretty simple... just ADD A CHARM!  I have to admit, I had to go digging in my old containers of trinkets to find my stash of charms- but I knew I had some! :) Be sure to check out all the details for the challenge HERE!

Friendship Perks

I used this sweet Thanks A Latte digi because I also wanted to create another card for the Spring Coffee Lovers blog hop too!(You can see the other card for the hop here.) There's still time to play along!

Back to this card, I took the coffee cups, heart and coffee bean stamps from Lawn Fawn's Love You a Latte and stamped a random background in Versamark ink. & the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp's What's Brewing!

Succulents + Copics + Kraft = ♥

I had some time to play this morning and I wanted to play along with the Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!

AND with the new challenge on Flickr for Simon Says Stamp & Lawn Fawn I knew I just had to join in the fun- especially since the theme is to "Get Crafty with Kraft!" Unless you're new to my blog then you would notice that I love using kraft on my cards!

I had previously created a card with Simon Says Stamps Cups & Succulents on kraft that I just loved the look of so I had to make another! (see it here!)  Except this time I also incorporated the mug from the What's Brewing stamp set- Who wouldn't love a mug full of succulents??

Succulents Mug

Here's close up of the succulents- I just love the look of copic coloring directly on kraft!

hello succulents

Hoping to find some time to also play with some Lawn Fawn & more kraft!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Brit!

I'm a little late posting this but the past two weeks were a little crazy with family in town & I didn't have much blogging time in the books!

We started off the new year with a celebration (no, not for new years...) but another one of my niece's had her birthday on the 3rd!

She loves everything purple so I thought the Anya from the My Sunshine set would look perfect in purple!

Happy Bday Brit!

and of course we couldn't have a party without some cake! As requested by the birthday girl... I made napoleon pastries with raspberries!

& they were delish (if I do say so myself ;))

Happy New Year again.. and hope to get back to 'regular' blogging soon!

Happy Sweet 16!

Hello! Happy Friday!

Hope all of you that celebrate had a wonderful Christmas holiday! Mine was filled with lots of food, family & fun!

Sadly, it's the last Friday of the year which means that my term with The Greeting Farm is coming down to an end :( I'm the last to host the challenge for the year and I thought I'd make it a "Tag You're It" challenge to 'tag' the new team that will be announced next week and since I've been so obsessed with using tags lately :)

My niece turned 16 earlier this month, but I waited to give her a card since she would be here visiting for the holidays! I used the newest Together Anywhere  and colored Anya using my nieces favorite color... PINK!

Sweet 16

The tag die is *still* my favorite from Pretty Pink Posh, Happy die is Simon Says Stamps, & I stamped the sentiment using alpha/number sets from Lawn Fawn!

Hope to see you play along! Check out all the deets on the TGF Blog!

Simon Says Succulents!

To  say that I was SO excited when I saw that Simon Says Stamp had come out with these succulent stamps is an understatement!  I just *HAD* to have them!!

and just in time too- I'm playing along with the Trendy Tag challenge on their flickr page! In addition to Virginia's View CAS Challenge!

Best Wishes Succulents!

The background was stamped with MFT's Woodgrain background, added a bit of washi and enamel dots. I colored my cute lil' succulent cup with copics directly on kraft cardstock, I love the softer look it gives.  Here's a close up...

Hello {Rainbow} World!

So I finally tackled some more cleaning and organizing of my craft room this weekend... it was LOOONG overdue! But of course after I cleaned off my desk I just messed it all up again after deciding to get inky! LOL

I decided to join in on the fun over at The Cutting Edge challenge #2 this week.... I totally love Karolyn's card that is the inspiration for the challenge & it just so happens that I have the same building die-cut from Paper Smooches (Super 2)! And I just needed an "excuse" to play with some of my dies!

I die cut the buildings from watercolor paper and went to town with a rainbow assortment of Distress Inks (Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, & Dusty Concord) to make my 'city'. I also added the hello diecut & finished it off with a couple of enamel accents dots!

Cutting Edge #2

& what's one of my cards without some faux stitching?

Oh and since I used nothing but die-cuts on this card I'm entering it in Virginia's View Challenge #5: Die-Cuts too!

Thanks for stopping by- hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Hello...diecuts!

I had some fun playing with some new to me dies yesterday!

I recently acquired this Paper Smooches stamp set, Metropolis and the matching die Super 2. I wanted my card to focus on the diecuts so I didn't do too much stamping or coloring (*gasp!*).

Hello {city}

I layered the building dies a few times to get some dimension and added some sparkly windows for a fun realistic effect! I also used the 'hello' die from Simon Says Stamp.. I think I'm getting addicted to these dies NEED more! :)
