Buttons and Bows - GDT at Scrapping4fun Challenges

Hello everyone! Today I am thrilled to share my second GDT project for the fantastic Scrapping4funChallenges. Thanks so much to Rachelle and the Team for this opportunity.

Buttons and Bows is the theme of the challenge #88. A really nice theme!

For my project, I decided to create a canvas. I started by preparing my base with clear gesso, then I used modeling paste through a stencil for texture and some inks to color. 

I added lots of layers and flowers under the frame, and a lot of embellishment over the whole surface including  some buttons and bows.
To finish, I splattered whole piece with various colors of acrylic paints.

Most of the materials and dies used are from Prima, Sizzix and Tim Holtz.
The chipboard buttons are a gift from my sweet blog-friend Yvonne, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to use them.

Para mi proyecto, decidí trabajar con un lienzo. Empece preparando la base con una fina capa de gesso, después usé pasta de modelar y una plantilla para la textura y varias tintas para el color. 

Añadí muchas capas y flores bajo el marco y mucho adornos por todo el lienzo, incluyendo botones y lazos.
Para terminar, salpiqué toda la pieza con varios colores de pinturas acrílicas.

La mayoría de los materiales y troqueles usados son de Prima, Sizzix y Tim Holtz.
Los botones de cartón son un regalo de mi blog-amiga Yvonne, y pensé que esta sería una buena ocasión para usarlos.

TIOT - Add Some Metal

Canvas / Lienzo 20 x 20 cm.

The challenge this fortnight at Try it on Tuesday is 'Add some metal'.  I really like using metal pieces in my projects. And, as you can see, today I have another mixed media canvas to share with you. 

El reto esta quincena en Try it on Tuesday trata de añadir algo de metal a tu proyecto. Me encanta decorar mis proyectos con piezas de metal. Y, como podéis ver, hoy tengo otro lienzo de medios mixtos para compartir con vosotros.

To create the background, I added lots of texture using a stencil and Ranger texture paste. Once dry, I randomly applied Dylusions and Adirondack inks spray. I also used acrylic paints, and crackle paint Distress for extra effect.
Para crear el fondo, añadí bastante textura usando un plantilla y pasta de modelar (Ranger texture paste). Una vez seco, apliqué al azar tintas en spray de Dylusions y Adirondack. También trabajé con pinturas acrílicas y craquelador (Ranger) para crear más efectos.

The Umbrella Man is a die from Tim Holtz Alterations.
El hombre del paraguas es un troquel de Tim Holtz.

I cut some strips of paper and stamped the numbers with Archival Black ink and a stamp from Stamper Anonymous-Tim Holtz. The three large numbers are stickers from American Crafts, and the white numbers are from my stash.

  Corté varias tiras de papel  y estampé los números con tinta negra Archival y un sello de Stamper Anonymous-Tim Holtz. Los tres números grandes son stickers de American Crafts.

And finally I decorated the canvas with metal corners and eyelets. 

Y finalmente decoré el lienzo con algunos detalles de metal.

Sending you Flowers at Try it on Tuesday

The challenge this fortnight at Try it on Tuesday is 'Sending you Flowers'.

El reto esta quincena en Try it on Tueday es "Envía Flores".

Espero que estéis inspirados y os unáis a nosotros en este fabuloso reto.

This canvas has some layers of gesso, paints, inks and differents elements which creates lots of texture on the background / Este lienzo tiene varias capas de gesso, pinturas, tintas y diferentes elementos que crean mucha textura en el fondo.

Me encanta probar cosas nuevas, y realmente me divertí mucho trabajando en este lienzo. Comencé añadiendo una capa de gesso como base, y, una vez que estuvo seco, añadí pasta de textura a través de algunas plantillas. Luego añadí varios elementos que conformaron el fondo (encaje, tiras de papeles, cuentas de vidrio y micro perlas de Finnabair...). Utilicé varios tonos de color azul, amarillo y cobre metálico, y usé pinturas acrílicas, Distress Paint, Dylusions ink sprays, Glimmer Mist... También usé polvos de grabación en relieve de cobre para añadir más textura al marco y craquelador (Ranger) para las hojas (Die from Tim Holtz Alterations) y fondo. Como se puede ver, la flor está hecha con distintas flores agrupadas para darle más consistencia. Espero que os guste.

I love to try new things, and I really had fun time playing in this canvas. I started by adding  a coat of gesso as base, once that was dry, I added texture paste through some stencils. I then added loads of elements to make up my background (lace, strips of papers, glass beads and micro beads from Finnabair…) and another coat of gesso. I then coloured it with some blue, yellow and metalic copper tones, and I used acrylics paints, Distress Paint, Dylusions ink sprays, Glimmer Mist… I also used embossing powders copper to add more texture to the frame, and crackle paint (Ranger) to the leaves (Die from Tim Holtz Alterations) and background. I hope you like it.

Tea Cup

20 x 20 cm.

The challenge this fortnight at Try it on Tuesday is 'Tea Cup' , mugs... or if you prefer coffee.

Hope you enjoy all the fabulous design team creations. 

This time I decided to do a mixed media canvas. The background was created using a coat of gesso, tissue wrap, acrylic paints, a lot of different stamps, modeling paste and stencils. The cup and teapot come from the Artemio 'Wooden Silhouette' set, which I painted and decorated a little.  I hope you’re inspired by this gorgeous wooden set and my design.

Esta quincena el reto en Try it on Tuesday es "Taza de Té", tazones... o si prefieres café.

Espero que disfrutéis de todas las magnificas creaciones del equipo de diseño.

Esta vez me decidí a hacer un lienzo mix media. Para crear el fondo he usado una capa de gesso, tejido plástico, pinturas acrílicas, varios sellos, pasta de modelar y plantillas. La taza y la tetera son de un conjunto de madera de Artemio (Wooden Silhouette) que he pintado y decorado un poco. Espero que os inspiréis con este fantástico conjunto de madera y mi diseño.

'Its in the Mail' - Try it on Tuesday

This is my first post as Design Team Member for Try it on Tuesday. This fortnight, the challenge is to 'Its in the Mail'. Check out the other team contributions, there is plenty of inspiration for this challenge. This time I would like to show you another side of my work, I made a mixed media canvas. I enjoyed every minute of this piece, and I hope you like it.

Este es mi primera entrada como miembro del equipo de diseño de Try it on Tuesday. Esta quincena el reto es sobre el "Correo". Hoy os quiero enseñar otra nueva faceta de mis creaciones, es este lienzo de medios mixtos. He disfrutado mucho haciéndolo y espero que os guste. Podéis ver lo que ha hecho el resto del equipo de diseño, hay mucha inspiración esta semana.

I used the embossing powder to do this envelope.

Para hacer el sobre he usado polvos de relieve.

I started this proyect with applying a thin layer of Gesso. To create the background I used white, blue and pink acrylic paint as a base, and then I added a layer of Golden gel medium with paper strips. I also created some texture with stencils and modeling paste. 

He empezado este proyecto con una capa muy fina de gesso. Para crear el fondo he usado pinturas acrílicas de color blanco, azul y rosa. Después le he dado una capa de gel medio Golden para fijar los trozos de papel. También he usado plantillas y pasta de modelar para crear algunas texturas.

Rock Guitar Canvas

Hello and happy weekend!
Welcome to my post today. This is my first entry to the Paint Party Friday. 
To create this canvas I used oil and acrylic painting and for the background heavy paste for rough textures and surface effects.

Hola, os deseo a todos un buen fin de semana.
Bienvenidos a mi entrada de hoy. Esta es la primera vez que entro en el reto Paint Party Friday, y me hace bastante ilusión porque participa gente con creaciones muy interesantes. 
Para este lienzo, he utilizado pintura al óleo y acrílica, y como se aprecia el fondo tiene una base de mortero áspero a base de resina para hacer efectos de superficie rugosa.

30 x 30 cm.
