Christmas layout with Yuko

Hi!Friends!  It's Yuko.
We have prepared a Christmas tree today.
So I want to make a Christmas layout.
But there is no Christmas line paper in Marion Smith.
So I challenged it with paper of Mad Tea Party.

【magic】
I colored it with brown and black to keep the atmosphere that was a vintage alive because it was precious Marion Smith and did it in a classical atmosphere.

Tea? Card By Yasmin

Hello everyone! It's Yasmin on the Marion Smith Design blog today and I have a little romantic, shabby chic card to share with you.

I've used loads of scrap pieces of paper for various MSD collection to put together my card. Motley, Mad  Tea Party and Garment District. Just goes to show that you can't throw away anything! Do you save all the scrap pieces or do you throw them away?

I feel in love with this litte teacup picture and of course the junque and gem,  and just had to use it on my card.

Here are some of the products used on todays card:

#selfie - Layout with Yasmin Tölche

Hello it's Yasmin on the blog today! Oh yes! It's Saturday, the sun is shining and it's my Marion Smith Designs Saturday! I have made a layout I'd like to share today! :)

I loved making this layout.. it just kinda happend. Hahaha.. I got loads of inspiration for Marion's frame paper.. These papers is from the "Motley" collection..

I've used junque and gem roses, gears and a little airballon.. I've played with Blue Fern Studio Chipboard, embossing powders.. Had A Blast making it :)

Did you know that you actually can emboss metall pieces? You do it the same way as you emboss on paper ,witch by the way I did loads on my page. Just put the metall piece on the embossing pillow, add the powder and heat! But be careful, the metall gets real hot so make sure you don't burn your fingers :) This little metall gear used to be bright silver.

The white polka dots is a stamp from 3rd Eye and they are all embossed on..

Here is some of the product I've used on my page:

Thank you for stopping by us today! Leave us a comment and I'll leave on back! :) Have a fantasticly creative saturday! :)

Artist Spotlight: Yuko Tanaka

Hey Crafty peeps,

Angela here sharing and spotlighting the amazing talent of Yuko Tanaka.

I believe I spotted Yuko in the Scrapbook.com gallery and I am so glad I found her. She's sharing a few of her favorite layouts using the Marion Smith Designs collections.

What I love most about her layouts are clean layering and their vintage feel. Each embellishment adds to the feel of the layout but also stands out on it own bringing attention to different parts of the layout.

Please leave Yuko some love in the comments and visit her blog and facebook linked below.

You can find Yuko online here: BLOGFACEBOOK

Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us today.

Biker Chick Layout by Angela Carter

I've learned so many things as a wife these past 3 years. It was the one area of my life that I was concerned the most that I wouldn't be very good at since I didn't grow up seeing my mom fulfill that role. One of the teachings I hold dear is that to be supportive you don't always have to agree and sometimes you need to disagree quietly instead of with a roar.

When my husband told me he wanted to buy a motorcycle I was instantly against the idea. No, Nope, Absolutely not, is what I mind said. My actual reply is, "Tell me more about that." I'm a fast learner.

Over the next few weeks packages arrived containing motorcycle jackets, gloves, boots, and other things. My husband looked like a kid waking up on Christmas morning every time our favorite delivery guy showed up. The more we talked the more my worries subsided until one day Dear Hubs asked me to try on his motorcycle helmut. From that moment on, I became a biker chick. My next question was, "Does it come in pink?"

From sequins, to hand stitching, to wood veneer and washi tape, this layout includes everything that I love about paper-crafting. It was easy, quick, and with the use of the pocket scrapbooking cards (which covered up a multitude of crafting sins) I think it turned out quite well.

Secret Cover-up: I'm not a huge fan of my handwriting but I typically like it. That left 4x6 journaling card covered up a serious white-gel-pen-handwriting-catastrophe! Thank goodness for my huge collection of journaling cards it was an easy fix.

Thanks for stopping by.

Farewell Post by Tonya Gibbs

Wow - I can't believe it has been a year already. Where has the time gone?  Honestly, I feel like I just started this creative journey.   I've enjoyed sharing with you guys each week, and I've made a lot of amazing friendships during this past year. My team mates are some of the world's most talented, and what an honor to serve next to them.  Marion is an amazing person, and I'm so happy that I can call her my friend!  Thank you for this awesome opportunity, and I look forward to future endeavors!

As my final project share, I thought I would create a masculine layout of my nephew and his first grade teacher.  I'm using pieces from Never Grow Up, Motley, Garment District and Nirvana in today's layout!

It is so fun to mix and match your collections to create the perfect project.   I love that all of Marion's lines coordinate so well!

I have prepared a process video showing you how I made this layout!

It has been such an amazing year.  I've made some amazing friendship!  Thanks for all your comments, feedback, and love!  Let's stay in connected!  Follow the link to my blog and subscribe to all my social media outlets.
