Crocheted Granny squares

I bought this awesome granny square from the lady beside me at a charity event held in China House, Penang. These piece was caught my eye and without a second wasted, i grab it home.
It was so rushed that I forget to ask for her name.

By the way, China House is an awesome cafe house.
They serve best cake in town as claimed by them.
They sell 30 different cakes daily.

Peek at Finished Fabric Cover

front
Sewed the Teesha-inspired fabric patches together.

Leave a small room in center and sewed with a piece of mesh.
The purple heart was made off polymer clay.

The small Tiki-God's badge was bought last week in KL Design Week.

Sigh ... one of three badges in a packet was spoil ...just wonder the seller didn't notice about it when they do the packaging.

Teesha-Inspired Fabric Journal Cover

thread
Inspired by awesome video on Fabric Cover by artist Teesha Moore.
She so kind to share her technique in sewing the pillow-patches-journal cover on her blog.

Let's get start with fabric, needle and threads.......

There is no specified size for my fabric cut (I dun like to measure).

Look at the modern-batik-liked fabric I had in my collections.

I take my own sweet time to enjoy the sewing while watching movie series.
(Have to negotiate/bargain with my children every night , as they want to watch their Barney series as well. LOL)

Fabric Journal Cover

Yay...look at the scary picture (no editing).
My camera, which is half-dead seems not so to the sunlight.

The following pictures was taken inside the room.
Last 2 days, I was sewed some fabrics by using mine M-I-L's sewing machine.
Since 13 years ago, I never touch on the sewing machine until today.

I was inspired by Natima on her sewing skills on the cover of her journal.
So , I also want to make one for myself :)

Besides, I also learned to bake my own red love button yesterday.
What a great experience !!
