Country Bumpkin Cutie Pie...

"Hay...ya'll" Welcome back fer a visit. Sit yer self a spell while I yarn a tale 'bout this har cutie.
In the words of my new found fave-or-rite show, Duck Dynasty, this sweet little Farmer's Daughter is "happy, happy, happy!"  Kenny K is our fabulous sponsor this week for the newest linky party happening right now over at Make It Monday.  I think she turned out beautifully, until I got to the eyes. I had this crazy idea to make her eyes hazel like mine..LOL...ummmmm, she looks possessed now and I don't know how to fix it! I tried the copic pen that fixes thingies and it didn't work too well for me. So, any ideas out there on how to exorcise demons from your digital images would be greatly appreciated!
I reckon I ain't gonna keep ya long so youin' can mosey on yonder, but I do hope you found a wee bit of fondness in my circle scalloped card.
Ya'll are right plum kind to stop in and be-fer I skedaddle, there's one more thing...
I have the sad news of telling you that this will be my last post for Make It Monday. I have THOROUGHLY  loved my time here, but I'm needing to take care of a few other things and so I won't be able to hang out with this most excellent crew of hilarious and creative women, and boy are they a HOOT!
Thank you so much to Michelle for allowing me to be a part of one of the MOST special teams in the stamping world. I'll miss you all tons, but never fear, I'll stalk you all whenever I can. :)
BIG HUGS!!!
Okay, okay, I'll dry the tears now and move on about business because THIS is the important information...my...
Isn't this beautiful?  I love the softness of the colors mixed in with the dainty die cuts and that delicate background paper and definitely the well balanced floral spray, but what really grabbed my attention was the humor she included in her post...
"Sons are miracles too, though.....for all those like me who don't have a daughter :(
However, I now have a lovely daughter-in-law, Emma, and a grandaughter due in April, so that will make up for all the years I couldn't buy PINK !! (Sorry Nick xx)"
LOL...love that!
Thank you so much for sharing your crafty talent with us at Make It Monday, Barbara :)

Tag, You're It!

I'm starting to understand why people love making tags...these little buggers are so much fun! I'm not partial to designing them because I'm never certain of the balance. I see so many gorgeous ones out in blog world and when I received my image from our sponsor Meljen's Designs titled Tied Tag, BAM....the spontaneity just went bonkers.  I joke with a few of my blog buddies (cough Alyce, clear throat, cough Tracy) that they include everything PLUS the kitchen sinks on their cards and always look amazing, but paybacks are due. If you look closely you'll find the end of a can opener and to the right of that the cord sticking out from the waffle maker. Kidding....those aren't really there, but there is lots of stuff!
I like where this little tag took me and includes 2 extra tags and a cute little play on words. Might be a fun addition to a Valentine's present.
Please join us at Make It Monday for our newest linky party and see what my fellow teammates have been up to as well as who they chose for their Picks Of The Week!
Speaking of...
I'm jealous, one..because this little Saturated Canary image is out playing in the snow and two, because she has a baby elephant to play with! Such a wonderful wintry scene that Sandra has created here with snowflakes all over...LOVE it! Pop over to blog here to see the whole card.

I'm giddy you stopped in and I hope you're all doing well.

Chase Your Dreams....

Welcome back ya'll!
I have an inspirational shadow box to share with you today for the newest Make It Monday linky party  Our sponsor this week is the ever incredible Bugaboo and this time around I chose one of their quotes to use on my project, titled, Chase Your Dreams.
This shadow box is made from a 12x12 piece of cardstock. To stiffen it up a bit, once folded, I painted on a layer of Gesso and it gave it a nice sturdiness.
Nine little handmade flowers made with Stampin' Up! punches

My cutting machine is not liking the texture of my black cardstock, either that, or I don't have it on the correct setting, so you can see a few "snags" in the silhouette images, but this was my 4th attempt to cut them out and well...I think it works just fine.  I thought the little girl chasing a butterfly would be perfect and the sentiment above and the single butterfly all come from the Silhouette Studio Store.

Hope you've enjoyed this project and it's given you some creative ideas.
Now for the fun part....my,
What is it about "Having One of Those Days?" cards that crack me up? It might be because I can pretty much relate to each of them! Had the best giggle with Billie's card here and just had to share it as my Pick Of The Week! Thanks so much for sharing this with Make It Monday!

Come share you makes with us at Make It Monday, check out my teammates ever creative makes, and you could be in the running for the prize from Bugaboo for 7 digital images of your choice!
Hugs n' Happy Crafting,
Lisa xx

When Life Brings Rain...

Hello hello hello!
Gosh, just wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful comments you all left on my Shabby Chic project. I really appreciated that so much.
Okay, on with the show for Make It Monday. :)

First time I've ever had the backside of an image to color and this little cutie was a bit tricky for me, but I've tried to make it look like she's heading outside. Hind sight being what it is and all, it escapes me why I didn't just put her in front of a door..duh.  Anyway, the sentiment I made on my PC and that still seems quite  fitting for A Little Girl With Umbrella from our terrific and NEW sponsor Milk N Coffee.  Our randomly chosen winner for this new linky party happening over at Make It Monday will win 3 digi's of their choice.  Hope you enjoy the card.
Now for my....
Absolutely striking combination of colors, LOOVE that Raspberry Ripple with the contrasting black and the cool white. A terrific job of layering and all the fun designs on the DP. Beautiful card Sandy and thank you so much for sharing it with us this week!

Thank you for your visit and I hope you have a good week.
Hugs n' Happy Stamping,
Me xx

You're Fascinating....

One of my favorite things I used to tell my kids when they were little and I was cooking, talking on the phone, making an errand list in my head, checking homework, preparing a bottle and doing laundry all at the same time while they were calling out my name was, "Mommy can do 500 things at one time, but I can't do 501!"  I absolutely love this image from Krista at Saturated Canary and I was so happy to see that she was sponsoring us this week at Make It Monday!  Krista completely nailed the domestic goddess look here.    Besides, it's true, all us Mommies get through it and sit back and wonder how in the world we did it all...well, it's because you're just fascinating amazing people!
I've made this card for a young friend of mine who is just now venturing into the "Cling-on" phase of parenting.  One clinging on the leg and one clinging on the hip.
So please come on over and share your makes with us and enjoy the ever delightful creativity of my teammates.
Now for the best part, my...
Okay, here's what I love about this card. See the very simple design here? It looks like your standard CAS card, but WAIT...there's MORE!  You'll have to click here to see the explosion of activity that happens when you open it! I can't even give you a hint, I'd hate to ruin the fun. :)
Thank you so much Asha for sharing this with us at Make It Monday!

As always, thanks isn't nearly enough for all your kind and funny words you leave, but thank you anyway! :)

Drive In Date Night

Okay, so Gone With The Wind made its debut in 1939; however, it's held its romance and popularity through the generations. Therefore, it only makes sense for a young couple in the 1950's to enjoy this classic movie in a classic car while at the Drive In Theater.
This is my DT card for Make It Monday and a huge thank you to our sponsor, Digi My World for providing the awesome digital image, 50's Drive In.
I had a little fun with the big screen as well as inserting a black and white image of a couple actually sitting in the car, with love quotes, of course!
We'd really love for you to pop on over to Make It Monday and share your latest and greatest makes OR share with us something that you made awhile ago.
While you're there, please check out the fabulous works of my teammates and see who their Pick Of The Weeks are.
Speaking of that....
I cheated and picked two!
Absolutely LOVE these amazingly designed holders.  Fantastic ideas ladies and incredibly inspiring.
Thank you BOTH for sharing them with us at Make It Monday

The After Christmas Christmas Card of Thanks

I'm not going to say that I always get around to making the After Christmas Christmas Thank you Cards, BUT, sometimes in the madness of making the initial cards, I'll make a couple here and there.
Here is one I've made for someone special to say thank you again.
I have used the terrific template from The Cutting Cafe called Christmas Pockets, there are 6 designs in this set and it worked perfectly to hold the little thank you tag.
This is for the linky party that is now open at Make It Monday and using the super cute image from our sponsor, Meljen's Designs, I've added a little Cheery Lights Mailbox and an added the cutest free sentiment circle from Annette that you can find here.
Please join us for some friendly fun and sharing and you'll be in the winning for our prize from Meljen's Designs.
Hugs n' Happy stamping,
Lisa xx

Now for the BEST part...

I really loved the monochromatic look of this card and the snowflakes that pop off the background and coordinate beautifully with the DP. But most of all, those adorable little reindeer nuzzling noses under the mistletoe. How cute to personalize with their names on it too!
Wonderful Christmas card Debbie and thank you so much for sharing this with us at Make It Monday!

No Peeking!

That's right, you can't peek into this little gift bag as it's devised with a lid! Ha...no cheating, no peeking, and definitely no shaking!  And if anyone in my family ever tells you I've ever done such a thing with a particular gift, placed so tauntingly under the tree, which I thought was resealed to perfection, I'll completely deny it!
They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, so if that's the case, I'm booby trapping all my children's gifts. Bwahahahahaha...
This little bag was created for the always fun linky party at Make It Monday where our wonderful sponsor this week is Bugaboo!!  I had the pleasure of using Snowglobe Marshmallow Snowmen and added another from my collection as well, Marshmallow Snowman Snowball.
Here is the original bag from a birthday party.

Thank you to my BFF for showing me how to make these lids! I watched her make about 1000 of them on Skype the other day and couldn't resist making one myself.
Here's with a little tissue sticking out and I still can't reveal what's inside, because there's NO peeking. However, if my kids try, they'll find the mouse trap I've planted in the paper. I'm KIDDING!!! ;)
So please come on over and join in the fun at Make It Monday and see all the ultra groovy creations by my teammates. Oh and we've also announced the winner of Visions of Sugarplums special MIM prize.
Hugs n' Happy Happy Stamping...
Lisa xx

Now for the best part, my....
The design, stitching, musical background, poinsettia focal point and glorious greenery give the most wonderful vintage appeal. A beautiful card Shelly and thank you for sharing this with us at Make It Monday.

Happiest "Holly-day" Wishes...

Wouldn't this be an adorable scene in any one's yard? A sweet little snowman holding a clothesline for the bundled up birds? I fell in love with this image from Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps.  Mary Ellen is so wonderful with her daily dose of free images and if you haven't been to her blog, I highly recommend her.  This is my card for the latest Make It Monday linky party that is now open!! As you can see, holly is the main theme here and I just wanted to leave one little tip or idea for you before you go. The Christmas tree is made by using the MS Holly Border Punch and by cutting it into little strips, I've designed this sweet Christmas tree to match the holly embossed background.  Love getting more bang for my buck!  Hope you've enjoyed the card and please come over to Make It Monday and share your makes with us. Doesn't have to be a card either, just as long as it uses paper products.  Our sponsor for the week is none other than Cupcake Cards & Crafts and they are offering a paper pack for the prize!
Hugs n' Happy Holly Days...
Lisa xx
Now for the best part!!
2012-11-27 Wss Gingerbread boy WM
Every single bit of Cheryl's card just makes me happy! The color combination is glorious, the ideal embellishments, and that scrumptious little adorable gingerbread absolutely spread the Christmas cheer. Beautiful card Cheryl and thank you so much for sharing this with us at Make It Monday!

Tipsy on Monday Morning...

Go ahead, you can say it..."Awww, that's so cute!" Hahaha..isn't it though and guess what? The dadblasted thing won't stand up.  Nothing I did made it any better. Made a stand in the back and then it just teetered to the side and leaned worse. So, here's my tipsy Monday morning offering to you, complete with easel, for our latest Make It Monday Linky Party that's now open! Thanks so much to Meljen's Designs for sponsoring us this week.  Love the little Sewing Machine and I regret that my card can't stay sober for its debut, but still...awww...it's so cute!
Please join us and share your makes, old or new...we'd love to see them and while you're there, check out the beautiful cards from my teammates too and see if you are their pick of the week!
Have a wonderful day and big hugs to you...
Lisa xx
Psst...one more important thing
WOW! Check this out....who else is jealous?? LOL...So adorable and wait until you see the original cabinet and the way she's decorated the outside too! Love all the amazing papers and accessories here. Such an adorable project.  Please check out Sarah's blog here to see more!!

Happy Thanksgiving Sweetie Pie...

Well, the results are in here in the US and the country has spoken and we can all rest peacefully knowing that we won't have ANY more badgering phone calls or political commercials to endure for 2 more years! WOO HOO!!  This in itself makes me very thankful and inspired me to make another Thanksgiving card.
Welcome back to another linky party at Make It Monday with the ever popular sponsor Bugaboo who has created this cute little Bobblehead Thanksgiving Scarecrow
Does this pie look scrumptious or what?  I can't take credit for this design, but when I saw it here on Brigit's blog, I knew it would be a perfect backdrop for this Thanksgiving image.  The crust edge was made by using the wing from SU's Bird Builder Punch.
As always the DT are on their game and have created more wonderful inspiration you won't want to miss.  Speaking of not wanting to miss, here is my....
#153 Pia
Love this decorated Christmas bag!  The colors are beautiful with the textured trees and reindeer AND she's even decorated the back of this, but it's totally different. Take a peek here to see the entire project on Pia's blog!!

So glad you stopped by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Lonely This Christmas?

I've officially made a total of three, yes count them, 1-2-3, Christmas cards so far this year. I mean to tell you, I'm on the ball!!  Ummm, speaking of that...here is the latest (blushes).
We're opening up another linky party over at Make It Monday and this is the card I'm subjecting everyone to over there..LOL! Oh those poor innocent bystanders.   This hysterical image is from our newest sponsor Dr. Digi's House of Stamps (check them out on Facebook too) and taking center stage is the one and only Lonely This Christmas.  I couldn't find an adequate sentiment fitting enough for this scene so I've typed up my own on the PC.
We'd love for you to join us over at Make It Monday and while you're there, please check out the other outrageously comical cards from my teammates.
Now for my....
I found this card very striking. It has a CAS feel to it, but there's really quite a challenge behind it all.  Skye completed this card using a square punch and I love the outcome. What a sensational Christmas card with a beautifully decorated tree!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Make It Monday Skye :)

Thank you so much for stopping in and all your terrific comments :)
Hugs n' Happy Stamping,
Lisa xx

Hello Friend...

Hello!
I can't quite put my finger on it, but this little tree house reminds me of a home in the Hundred Acre Wood, or a cozy nook for a Beatrix Potter's character, doesn't it? This little image is called Tree House from Ladies That Craft.  I absolutely LOVE these images and there's more too, so check out what incredible projects the Make It Monday ladies have done!
Another Make It Monday linky party is open and this is my contribution for this week. Decided a burlap scallop frame would fit nicely with the barky texture and a few rolled flowers and hello banner to decorate.  If you have something you'd like to share with us, feel free to enter in and you'll be eligible for the prize.
It's time now to show you my....

I am so excited about this tag!!
I love the twist on this Halloween cutie. She's titled this Halloween for Softies.
Wonderful reflection stamping and seeing the witches clothing hanging from the line is such a hoot!   For more information please check out Avril's blog post here.
Thanks for stopping in!
