Ava Art Quilt Show

The Ava Art Guild Quilt Show is going on right now until August 24.  There are around 50 entries this!  The categories are traditional, eclectic artistry, and applique!  Here are the quilts that were entered.  Some are youth quilts.  I am very proud of my student for getting second place on her very first quilt!
One of the young ladies from the TOGA got first place.
Here is her sister's quilt.
Their older sisters and mom also entered quilts, hope I got them all right.
Here are the rest of the quilts!

This bowtie quilt was made from her husband's neckties!

My quilts!  My grandmother made the Martha Washington Flower Garden Quilt.

The hexagon quilt was hand quilted and my Route 66 quilt was pieced on a hand crank sewin machine and quilted on a treadle sewing machine.
I can't wait for next year's quilt show!  Every year it is around the third and fourth weeks of August and runs for ten days.  I hope I didn't miss any quilts!

Upcoming Quilt Show

My local art guild is having a quilt show!  I have always talked about the shows after I went but I wanted to make sure everyone knew about it so they could come!
The quilt show is August 15-25 at the Ava Art Guild which is across the street from the newspaper office, The Douglas County Herald.  If you want to enter a quilt you need to bring it on Monday or Tuesday, the 13th or 14th.

Hoot N Hollarin' Quilt Show

I went to a small quilt show back in September and forgot to post about it!  Each county has their own Homemaker's Group and the one in Ozark County has this quilt show every year in Gainesville, MO.  I was not able to get a picture of every quilt, but here are a few of them.My husband and I with the obligatory selfie too of course.  He was tired of me taking selfies, LOL.
This was the raffle quilt, I love this log cabin quilt!
I took a picture of the person who made the quilt also.  I love this stained glass quilt!

I love their prize ribbons!  A great keepsake!

The Hoot N' Hollarin' Festival was fun.
This was my birthday present we found in one of the small shops on the square.  I absolutely love it and the chimes are very soothing!
I hope you enjoyed this small quilt show!
