Hello again!

It's time for a new challenge at Dream Valley Challenges

This fortnight our theme is

Monochrome

Our sponsor this fortnight is The Paper Shelter.

I've gone for a very simple card today. The main image stamp came free with a magazine a couple of months ago and I thought it would work perfectly for this challenge. I've used an Inkylicious sentiment stamp to go with it.

I've gone for something a little different for me. I created an oval mask using a nestie and stamped the Indigo Blu Script stamp in Crumb Cake ink and then I stamped from the SU Just Believe and Silhouette Sentiments sets in Early Espresso ink and finally added a sentiment in the bottom corner.

That Craft Place Challenge

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at That Craft Place

This time our theme is

Sentiment

I have two things to share today - I made the first and then the lovely Lisa brought out her own range of stamps Ditzie Designs - available from That Craft Place so of course I had to create something else too!

So this first is a heart I bought - I was inspired by looking at some decopatch although I didn't actually want to do that! I simply painted with some acrylic paint and stamped the Visible Image sentiment with some contrasting blue ink and then stamped the Grunge Flourish round the outside of the heart.

And this is my second offering today - this is a frame I bought from Lisa's shop ages ago with the intention of doing something else with it and when I started off I was actually going to cover up the frame with some paper but I decided just to stamp round the edge of it because I thought it looked to pretty bare to cover up! I used the Grunge Flourish again.

Wingardium Leviosa

Morning all!

Nothing like a bit of Harry Potter on a Thursday morning eh?!

This is the birthday card I made for my friend's daughter last week - I was really trying to clear up all the cards I haven't shared yet - still some end of term ones and others earlier than that to go but I wanted to share this one with you.

Rachel is Harry Potter daft so it seemed fitting to do her a Harry Potter card (although Harry is wearing his invisibility cloak and can't be seen on the card) - Rachel is always Hermione when they play HP and Scott is always Ron so I thought I would use those two Bugaboo images.

However, I didn't just want to put the characters on the card and the outside of the card was born - this is the paper I used for Sunday's That Craft Place challenge card (Sunday's card was the leftovers from this card!)

Little Miss Forgetful

Please scroll down to the next post if you're looking for my Totally Papercrafts DT card.

I have no idea if Little Miss Forgetful is one of the Roger Hargreaves characters but that's me...

It was crafty night last night and I had a plan in my head of what I was going to do. However, when I got to the cabin it completely went out my head and I did 3984 other things instead (that may be a *slight* exaggeration).

Anyway, what I was going to do was use the fab sketch at Sketch Saturday with my Max stamp from Visible Image... I'm telling you that now so that I might actually remember what I was going to do! So I was having a chat with Cathy earlier and she said - "you don't need to have a coloured image"... which set me thinking (and I have another idea too) so in a spare 10 minutes earlier, I came up with this. It's simple, but I love it :) - a bit of embossing, a sentiment, and some flowers with pearls (which I coloured with a Promarker as I wanted a wee hint of yellow)

Creative Craft Challenges

Morning all.

It's time for a new challenge at Creative Craft Challenges

This time our theme is

Alter It

Now I thought long and hard about this and came up with many different ideas some of which I have discarded and others are stored in my brain for use at another time... (yeah right, we all know I'll never remember any of the ideas!)

I decided, in the end, to go with this canvas which I bought about 2 years ago  and shoved in a drawer - so my crafty buddy Lorraine will be thrilled to see it making an appearance at last.

I inked the canvas with Evergreen Bough and Squeezed Lemonade DI and I was going to stamp the sentiment directly on the canvas but found my test piece that I was playing about with and decided I liked that better than stamping directly on the canvas.

I punched out some flowers and to make them look like daisies I coloured the pearls with a Summer Sun promarker. I added a wee path between the daisies using a Cocoa Promarker.

Mid Month at Christmas at Sweet Stampin'

Morning all.

Here we are, a day closer to the start of British Summer Time.....

It's time for some mid month inspiration at Christmas At Sweet Stampin'

Just a wee reminder that our this month our theme is

No Red or Green

Our sponsor this month is

Flatfriends

So when I started to think about what I would do for no red or green I immediately thought I would go with a WOW card, with maybe a bit of blue thrown in but..... look, no red, no green but no white or blue either. And not even a card!

I decided to have a bit of a play thanks to the lovely Cathy and this is what I ended up with. I'm quite pleased with it for a first attempt, I think. One thing is certain though, I'm doing this again. It was so much fun!

Love To Create Challenge

Morning all, the start of a new week and we're almost midway through March... it will be you know what before we know it ;)

It's time for a new challenge at Love to Create

This week our theme is

Lavender and Lace

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio who gave the DT some images to play with.

I have to be honest, I struggled a bit with this. You'll know delicate and pretty isn't really my thing and I'm still not sure about this but never mind.

I decided to make a tag this time rather than a card - just to be a wee bit different and to keep you on your toes.

I inked round the edges of the tag (Inkylicious) with some Milled Lavender Distress Ink and also used the same DI on the cream doiley. I also stamped a script stamp on the DP using the ink and then I chucked some pearls at it.... sorry, Cathy, placed carefully.... and voila!

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Morning all.

It's Saturday, the boys are on holiday until Thursday so just have to decide what to do with the little darlings to keep them entertained....

So, it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this week our theme is

Pearls and Swirls

We're sponsored this week by Bunny Zoe who are offering a £10 voucher to the winner and our monthly sponsor is The Ribbon Girl who are also offering a £10 voucher to the winner.

Now I thought this would be easy... a coloured image, some swirls and pearls for decoration et voila... No matter what I did with the image though when I was at the Crafty Cabin, it didn't look right.

Then, just as I was about to drop off to sleep on Thursday night I had a flash of inspiration.. AND I remembered what it was when I woke up! My friend Fiona said to me the other day "see what happens when you just switch off" and I think she's right!

It's something a little different from me but I have to say, I really love this card. I simply inked the cardstock with some DI and stamped the Indigo Blu sentiment in the middle and used the swirl from the Stampin Up Baroque Motifs set round the outside.
