The End of An Era

Hello.

Today marked the end of an era for our family, it was the last day at school before the 7 weeks of the school holidays begin. However, this was also the last day at primary school for Scott as he goes to high school in August. I can't believe it - the time has gone by in a flash.

So today's card is the card I made for his teacher.

School Boy - Tiddly Inks
Sentiment - Digi Stamp Boutique
Copics
Stitched Rectangles - Memory Box

And here are some photos of the boy himself. The first is first day to last day and the second is after school finished and he came out with his shirt all signed by some of the children in the school (not just the Primary 7's!)

And another wee card to share, I made this for a friend's daughter to give her teacher - but they don't finish until tomorrow (although it's unlikely the teacher is going to be reading my blog!)

Copics
Letters - Memory Box

So that's it. 7 weeks of the holidays are upon us. Pass the gin!

Thanks for dropping by today.

A Brace of Thank You Cards

Hello!

That title just made me laugh there as I thought about a time in work when a friend said to a colleague he would have a brace of something and she didn't know how many he was looking for....

So if she's looking in, she'll not know how many cards are here.

These are Scott's Thank You cards for his teachers - one of whom was retiring. Variations on a theme really although I've used different images for both.

Pistols at Dawn

Morning.

You may be wondering about the title of the blog post today. Well, yesterday we spent a very enjoyable day with family in Linlithgow including a water pistol fight in the garden which was a lot of fun!

Today's card is the last teacher's thank you. Definitely. Well, maybe. I can't see any more.

This is the one I made for Scott's teacher (he had two). I've got to say of the two cards I made for Scott's teachers, the other one I made is probably my favourite!

On That Note

Hello again.

Thought I'd come by and share another teacher's thank you card - one more to go after this (I think....) This is a card I made for the music teacher who was retiring at the end of term - she had also been Craig's teacher when he was in Primary 5. She'll be sorely missed at the school. This Digi Stamp Boutique image just seemed to fit the bill perfectly!

An Apple for The Teacher

Morning all.

Well,it's almost that time of year. That time of year when I start considering drinking gin early in the morning. Yes, the school holidays are almost upon us. From 1pm tomorrow the boys will be in the house for 7 weeks. Yep. Count 'em 7 weeks!!

Today's card is the first of the Thank You cards I have made for his teachers. It's been funny this year only having to make them for Scott's teachers and not for Craig's!

This is the one for his favourite teacher, and I think, looks a bit like Scott - although he's holding an apple so maybe not ;)

Stamps
Apple for the Teacher - Sassy Cheryl (I'm not actually sure that's the name, I couldn't actually find it in the shop)
#1 - Just Rite Stamps (All Boy Set)

Paper
MME

Embellishments
Card Candy
Glossy Accents

And I can't go without sharing a photo from last night - it was the Awards Ceremony at Craig's school and he received awards for Academic Excellence in S1 and for being the Values Champion for Respect. So proud of him, it was a wonderful evening!

And Scott got his report home yesterday too, which was excellent so I am a very proud Mum!

 Thanks for dropping by today.

Busy Day

Yesterday we had quite a lazy day - just felt I needed a day not running about visiting places like we had while on holiday. Made up for it today though....

Boys went to a holiday club in a local school (the High School that Craig will be going to next year, sniff) this morning and I had intended to take them to the cinema this afternoon. Yvonne and I dropped the kids off at the school and went for coffee and I mentioned the cinema so Yvonne decided that she would get the car from her hubby and come with us too so we all went to see Ice Age this afternoon. The kids all loved it, Scott wants the dvd.... already...

At 6pm I was meeting friends at the sports centre for our regular badminton game but one of them wasn't well and Craig wanted to come along and watch, however, he actually got to play with us and he wasn't half bad.

Then we came home and I collapsed in a heap!

I did find time in the evening to call my lovely friend Cathy, so good to catch up.

So onto a card, a bit belated I know but I didn't share it with you. This is the thank you card and gift I did for Scott's teachers. He had 2! The cards were virtually identical but as one of his teachers was retiring I made her a memory book rather than a notebook. Sadly I forgot to take a photo.

Just noticed there is a pearl missing from one of the flowers, I am sure I sorted it before Scott gave it to the teacher.

I'd like to enter the card in the following challenges:

Here Come The Boys - Tag on a Card
Hanna and Friends - Favourite Colours (blues and browns)

No new products were harmed in the making of this card! Use It Up 2012. Image - Penny Black, coloured with Promarkers and Copics, not sure where senitment is from

Embellishments - Card - Card Candy coloured with Copics, Craftwork Cards Book, flowers, letters and pearls from stash
Tools - Card, Tag Die, Go Kreate, Cuttlebug, Book, Label Nesties, Cherish Punch Around the Page, Martha Stewart, Cuttlebug
