If you doubt yourself...

'If you doubt yourself... then go ahead and wear something else'...
Unless of course you're a model... and you just happen to be trapped in Aussiebum's Jackpot slot machine... in that case just hold on tight and hope for the best. (note: best in this case is defined as... well, you'll see cool)...
It's strange, apparently getting the jackpot also turns every model into the same guy... Not that I'm complaining though, the guys over at Aussiebum seem to have quite a superb selection of models to choose from cool... You can check out more Aussiebum hotness over at their official youtube page... oh, and also special thanks to Rob from WayoutWest.TV for giving me a head's up as usual mrgreen...

Farewell BSG

Thank you cast of Battlestar, for being one of the greatest assembled group of talented actors I've ever witnessed on a television series. And thank you Ronald Moore and the entire crew of writers and creative minds that brought about such a fantastic show.
NUP_111710_1396
In case you missed it the finale to the phenomenal sci-fi television series Battlestar Galactica has came and went. And what a send off it turned out to be... truly one of the few shows that (for me at least) will define the best television this decade had to offer...
I should also mention a thank you to composer Bear McCreary for creating perhaps the best rendition of Jimi Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower I've ever heard. It's no easy feat taking an original concept and transforming it into something new and exciting, but that's exactly what both Bear, and to a larger extent Ronald Moore did with this series from the start. Who'd have ever thought I'd be praising a remake of a show I once ridiculed and dismissed as outdated cool.

A Prayer for Bobby

There are decent dramas which make you think, and then there are great dramas which make you feel... I think this particular movie is more of the latter. I honestly can't recall the last time I've seen a movie like Prayers for Bobby. Perhaps one of the saddest stories I've really ever seen portrayed. Mostly on account of the fact that there was in fact a time when I could've totally related to Bobby...
Prayers for Bobby chronicles the tragically short life of Bobby Griffith as he struggles with his sexuality and his attempts to gain acceptance from his ultra-conservative mother. The movie stars Sigourney Weaver as Bobby's mother, and a young 22-year old actor named Ryan Kelly (who btw does an absolutely amazing job as Bobby).
Prayers for Bobby is based off a book (of the same title) written by author Leroy F. Aarons. The movie is currently available on Itunes... but unfortunately not on DVD yet. One comment I have to make about this movie though... I'm not exactly the biggest softy on emotions and I don't think I've really shed a tear since I was 13. This movie had my eyes watered up by the end neutral. Very tragic...

Thank you Australia

Ok, I'm sure most of you still recall Lipstick Jungle right? Well... who could forget considering it has (or had, assuming it ever comes back on air) one of the hottest guys on earth playing one of the lead roles. Anyhow picture Lipstick Jungle, take Brooke Shields and all her friends... and... turn them all into prostitutes. Sounds like a great idea right confused?...
Ok, so maybe a series like Satisfaction would never see the light of day in the US... but Australia doesn't seem to mind much. And personally neither do I... mostly on account of the fact that they have gorgeous guys like Aussie/hottie actor Liam Hemsworth here guest starring from time to time on the show...
Talk about super hot, the guy could totally pass for a model. And even better, he's a rising star and already has a movie slated to open starring opposite Nicolas Cage. Thank you very much Australia, we appreciate your exports mrgreen...

While on the topic of great looking men in suits...

Or maybe I should say while on the topic of great looking men in and out of suits cool...

Presenting a buff 'totally looks like he coulda been a rugby player but turned to acting instead' Australian hottie Jai Courtney.
Jai's featured in the first episode of Australian series Packed to the Rafter's second season.. and yeah, apparently he seems to be endowed with a substantial 'pelt' (for those of you who happen to be into that mrgreen). The show looks great though, I'd love to get an American version on one of the networks, but I suppose torrents will do just fine for now.

Craig Horner has been captured!

...Ok, so yeah, maybe it's actually the fictional character Richard Cypher who's been captured (as opposed to his real life counterpart Craig Horner)... And he's been captured by none other than a psychopathic early 90s Madonna look-a-like ominously named 'Mistress Denna!' cry. What exactly are this 'Mistress Denna's' goals?... What maniacal plans does she have in store for our Seeker Richard Cypher. Well... the devious plot isn't all too complicated... she just has 'train' him (for about an hour or so confused), until his will finally submits to an evil Lord named Rahl.

Chains, prods, whips, and leather?? Wait a minute, this is still Legend of the Seeker we're talking about here right?... Or at least I think it's still Legend of the Seeker. For a second there, I thought my television set might've accidentally stumbled onto some S&M adult channel cool...
If anything must be said about Legend of the Seeker, it's that its directors (in this case former Hercules actor-turned-director Michael Hurst) *really* know how to 'display' the best assets available to this show (in this case, the ab-tastic Craig Horner's abs itself mrgreen).
And yeah, I have to say, this is probably the first time I've ever seen a television episode (of any series) where the main protagonist is left shirtless from almost start to finish, strapped up in a chain. Yes, we get it, he has the best/most-defined abs on television. You guys don't have to show it off every episode cool... (actually yes you do, more shirtless scenes with Craig Horner please cool).

More Craig Horner

The Bromancer showers in Episode 3

So, if you managed to stop and get a chance to catch up on the 'bromancer' himself on his new MTV series Bromance sometime during these past three weeks, you might've had one question running through your mind...

Who exactly is the intended audience for this show... bro mrgreen?
Are you guys at all surprised that Ryan Seacrest would produce something like this? Between the nude night abductions, the hot tub elimination sessions, the incredibly emotional 'bros', and the bromantic hottie star himself bromancing the guys and hoping to find the right 'bro' to hang with, i'd say the innuendos are indeed palpable (most likely intentionally so cool)...
I promised myself in the past that I would avoid posting the Bromancer if I could help it... But obviously as you can see, I couldn't help myself confused, he's legitimately hot... (even despite the attitude that rubs me the wrong way). And yes, I think I'm beginning to develop a love hate relationship with that term 'bromance' mrgreen...

The End is almost here...

Who among them is the last Cylon? What exactly has happened to Earth? Has Starbuck completely lost her mind? Gaeta is what, you say? If you have even the slightest idea what I'm referring to with any of those questions, then odds are you might be either A) a fan Battlestar Galactica, or B) preparing to watch the season premier of the final Season tonight... or more likely than not, it's probably C) like me cool... which is both .
Battlestar
If someone were to ask me 10 years from now 'name me five series you associate with the 2000s?'... I'd have to say Battlestar would either rank as #1 or #2 on that list for me. A show that debuted back in 2003 with undertones of a tragedy that had taken place just a few years earlier, it's since come to be identified as one of the most popular (and perhaps redefining) Science fiction series in recent memory.
So what's going to happen as this final season gets underway? Will Earth eventually be a new beginning for a group of characters we've grown to know and love over the years, or will it ultimately be their undoing... I suppose the only way to really find out is by tuning in tonight as the show premiers at 10:00 pm on the Sci-fi network mrgreen. For those of you who live across seas, the new episodes will be streaming on Hulu and the Sci-fi website itself about 24-48 hours after airing on TV cool.

Christian Cooke battles his Demons...

...and manages to look insanely gorgeous/handsome/sexy while doing so cool...
The newest ITV series Demons (formerly known as The Last Van Helsing) premiered last week in the UK. Unfortunately I live abroad so I wasn't able to catch it... thankfully that's what the magical cyber-universe of the internet is for mrgreen...

Demons features former Doctor Who and Echo Beach actor Christian Cooke as (a super, super handsome) Luke Van Helsing starring opposite Philip Glenister (playing Luke's godfather Rupert Galvin). From what I've gathered from the internet chatter so far, there's been a *lot* of comparisons between this show and Buffy the Vampire Slayer... minus the Sarah Michelle Gellar factor of course. But yeah... the comparison does give me somewhat pause...
Fortunately Christian + (beautiful face, shirtlessness and boxer-briefs) is more than enough of an incentive for me to give the rest of the season a shot cool. I found the premier to be a decent enough set-up... I think it'll be interesting to see what direction they choose to take this show as it progresses...

Demons airs Saturdays on ITV (episode 2 should be airing just as I'm writing this). For those of you who don't live in the UK, You can check out episodes 1 and 2 in their entirety while it's still available on torrents.

Holiday Vacation with Robert Buckley? I'm there!

Imagine you took a vacation say sometime within the next two weeks or so... and while on that getaway you ended up being pursued (almost to the point of stalking) by none other than Robert Buckley himself. Would you complain? Maybe play shy? I swear that Lifetime channel frustrates me cry...
So yeah, I really, really tried to like this movie, but I couldn't. Maybe I've just gotten too accustomed to Lipstick Jungle's more edgy style and use of Mr. Buckley, but yeah... this movie just - wasn't - for me. That's not to say Robert wasn't as hot as usual, but I just felt as though the chemistry between him and Heather seemed far more forced than with Kim on Lipstick. Ah well... You can check this movie out over at the Lifetime website. Apparently they've uploaded a streaming version separated in clips. Also check out the previous posts on the gorgeous Mr. Buckley.
