It's Arbor Day at Bitten By The Bug2. Kelly from Kelly's Concoctions is our hostess this week. Use a tree cut cut from anything Cricut and submit it to our Linky page.
Here is my take on trees. This is a layout of my son on a hike we took last summer. That's Donner Lake in the background. We were hiking the Mt. Judah trail on Donnet Summit. It was a gorgeous day, a 6 mile hike, and spent with family. Who could ask for more?

BBTB2: Mittens, and Caps and Scarfs for All
I am really loving putting together my winter layouts this year. I guess because it's so cold I haven't wanted to go do anything outside and have stayed in my craft room using my Explore. Here is a winter layout of my grandson and pictures of his 1st birthday. He's a boy, so I had no doubt that he would be making a mess of that chocolate frosting.
Our lovely hostess for BBTB2 this week is Melanie, from Courtney Lane Designs. She selected warm mittens, scarfs or caps/hats from Cricut cuts to use in a card or project. Link up your project on our BBTB2 blog - here is the link: BBTB2.
Cuts include Winter Frolic for the "winter wonderland" Holiday Cakes for the Mitten, Winter Woodland for the Hat, and Christmas Cheer for the adorable Snowman. Adornments are a blue button, a doily, Stickles for snow, and skittles from "A Busy Bee".

Christmas Mini Album for a Swap
Here are pictures of the mini album I made for my partner Carolyn. This swap was a mini- album swap on the Cricut Message Board. We could make any mini album we liked. I used the Artbooking cartridge for a lot of the cuts and the pages themselves.
Carolyn made me an album and I will post those pictures soon.
Cricut MB Christmas Cookie Recipe Swap - Yummy
Isn't this red and green elf just a cutie? He's been inked and Stickled and just ready to start some Christmas baking. This is one of 20 that I made for a recipe swap on the Cricut MB. I've had to wait several weeks to post this one because they hadn't been mailed back yet. It's always a surprise until we open our package from the hostess. There were a lot of pieces to the 20 elves, it took an entire evening to put them together. I used the Christmas Solutions cartridge for the elf (yes he is so small on the display card I couldn't really make him out) and CCR for the title (using the reverse image and welding in a box over the text). These are 6x6 inches, making the design a little challenging. Let's get baking!!
