KSKO returns to shortwave today

 


Just a reminder that the first hour of the KSKO (McGrath, Alaska) Lunchtime Show hosted by Paul Walker continues on shortwave weekly on Fridays at 2100 UT on 5900 kHz via Bulgaria.
Paul writes: "Expect a wide variety of music, lots of local Alaskan interior information and some random thoughtss of mine from time to time."

LATE BREAKING DX TIP !!!! KSKO to broadcast on shortwave for one hour today!!

 
ALASKA.  Paul Walker has advised that KSKO, (which broadcasts to the local community in McGrath, Alaska) will return on shortwave for an hour every Friday. 

It is scheduled from 2100-2200 UTC on 5900 kHz via Spaceline, Bulgaria, and the first broadcast will be today (26 January).  

This will be a relay of the midday to 1pm afternoon show on KSKO. There are not likely to be any QSLs for this transmission, but if you do listen, please let Paul know so that this relay will continue going forward.

KSKO’s Paul Walker to relay a two hour Christmas program on shortwave on December 23, 2022

 


Tune in for two hours of nothing but Christmas tunes on December 23rd and it’s extra special because it’ll be a live worldwide broadcast of KSKO on Shortwave!!

From 2200-2400UTC (1pm Alaska, 2pm Pacific, 5pm Eastern) we’ll be live across Europe on the 250,000 watts of Spaceline Bulgaria’s 5900 kHz transmitter along with the 100KW WRMI 7570 kHz covering North America and the 100KW WRMI 9955 kHz covering Latin America.
