Birthday card for dad

This card was a lot of fun to make.
I love the 3D background and I did a bunch
to have them on hand so
all I needed to do was add some distress inks.
The autos are TH stamp set and
love how they turned out - it
took quite a bit of stamping using a platform.
The alphas are quickutz, the small one is calvin
but I don't remember the second one.
and the inside I decided to go
with calvin alpha again and added a "firework".
It's a punch and a baby to the first one punch I ever bought
(love I have 2 different sizes now).
I love it and use it a lot -more than I thought I would.

And because I felt the just plain brownish background
needed something to I took a small
Michael's dot stamp and just tapped it all over.

A two title page...Maybe

It has been awhile my friends, and it
has been a lovely break.
I was working on a project for a friend and now that that's
completed. I'm baaack!!!
Sort of.
It's a mojo thing.

Anyhoo, this page has been laying about for awhile.
 A long time.
Of course I laid it out, rearranged it 1039874194710934 times
and in each case the arrangement remained the same.
Therefore, adhesive was duly employed.
 So the titles!
This is a page about hanging with my dad last month
and we played cribbage.
I haven't played in years, he plays cribbage like I scrap...Daily!!!
Sooooo I found "Lucky Bill" that I loved
and his name is Bill and skillful as well as lucky.
Then, I also wanted a cribbage-like title and
 cobbled together the "15-2".
Fifteen two starts a counting cadence that I was taught
as a kid. Cribbage started young in our family - my great grandfather
was helpful in our instruction and we started about 8-9 years old.
So for every 15 points you have in your hand ( when you play the cards)
you earn 2 points to peg.
You also get points for pairs, runs, etc.
but we always started counting with the 15's.
Anyway, we had a lot of fun playing
and I like to think I gave dear ole dad a run for his money.
Although he did skunk me twice 😒
He also made 2 shoo fly pies for me that
were soooo yummy kinda made of up for it LOL!
I think I surprised him at times when we played.
I like surprising people.
Anyway - we had a fun visit and I can't wait for rematch.

Last page for NSD scrapping frenzy

And this page works with frenzy so well.
In the still not overthinking it and starting to adhere and plunk
I took a time out to work in a 'stampede' with Creative Cafe
and Studio Calico stamps
because kraft paper can be so....well boring.
However it works really well with Tim Holtz stuff, a Shimelle globe and
the story. Of which you will see I needed added
room for the story going on with this.
Here is my dad setting up another train platform.
He goes all out - the tracks will be laid,
towns will be built and communities established.
And its fun to be the engineer.

Similar pages after a binge.

Had issues again with scheduling on blogger. Hoping to get it right in the future.

Of course it was going to happen as
this was done at about midnight on Saturday
and well... it just fell together like it was meant to be
so I'm seriously not gonna stress
that it looks similary to Wednesday's page.
I adore those little bows and I have a bunch
already made up and try to match them up to pages when I can.
I also adore this die cut word and off and on
contemplate getting a silhouette or brother.
All I need is more room.
Another one of those foam tabs.
Done!
I think I have 2 left.
I fussy cut that bird out of a "tag" I had made
previously and couldn't figure out
what to do with the tag - so my bird found a home.
The word is from Shimelle and the houndstooth
Is Paper Issues wrapping.
I need more.
And yea the word lovely applies even
for dashing men in tuxes.
