This paper reminds me of the dot candy back in the day

Don't it?
These aren't exactly dots but the same premise.
I can't remember what they taste like
but back then if it was candy I liked it.
Just because there is a rainbow of dots doesn't mean
that some watercolors can't be splashed about.
Of course a fun banner with bits and bobs of adorable things.
Miss Annie's art was featured at her school's district art show.
Second year in a row I believe.
I know she was very proud and excited.

Studio Calico, Fancy Pants transparency I think-it's been
around for a long long time.
Loving my sunburst/splash punch.

Love this pink washed paper

from Studio Calico - I saved it for last
mostly because I wasn't sure what to do with it.
And it required nothing at all but to add these
 My Mind's Eye
and Fancy Pants die cut embellies.
Got some layers going on at the top too.
And then shazam - a photo from the wayback box
that's perfect - my brother's daughter Lisa with her Memaw.
(Her dress is pink).
Seriously love how this turned out.
This is in 1981 and she's all grown up with kidlets
of her own now.
Sigh.

Road Trip album - Set up complete

I stopped dithering about and
decided to trim all the papers, add the pocket cards
and complete the pages and inserts
now all I need are photos, embellishments and journaling.
I think that'll take some of the guesswork
and angst out.
Plus the supplies to take on the road to complete it will be different
and not as overwhelming.
Also if there's a scrapbook shop along the way.
WIN!!!
I used the ENTIRE Tim Holtz rubon sheet.
It was annoying to rub.

Some ledger paper for journaling-mostly so I can
remember stuff to journal - as we go.

 LOTS to fill -
This is a hodge-podge of We are Memory Keepers (Thanks Holli)

Salvaging paper

I love this paper both sides actually.
Therefore, I decided to do a 6x12 page (twice).
If you notice I even punched a heart out on one of them.
Sigh.
Twice happened because I didn't like the direction I was going
AFTER I had glued everything down.
Undu is good but it does not like GLUE for sure.
Anyway I could still use the 'B' side.
Until......I screwed the 2nd 6x12 UP.
So channeling my inner soaphousemama after watching
her #Embellish DIY class I used white paint
to cover up all the boo-boos on both pages
Isn't that pink cool too?
So I fussy cut that zebra that really has nothing to do with
the photo and hung it upside down because its fun.
It has a bit of gold so I brought some gold in with the stars.
Threw in the mustache because that was also fun and
needed to be used. (I have 5 more left).
And I really love the "obviously.'
I had to really layer the mats behind to hide more boo-boos.
Studio Calico, Fancy Pants badge, Paper Issues zebra.
Anyhoo, check out Ashli's blog (link above) and her class.
I learned a lot and its fun!

Blue eyed Girl

I wanted baby on there but I used up all the B's from this thickers package for crabby bird. LOL!!!

This is Amelia and her eyes. Love it. And the page is a lift of Wilna over at 2-peas in the mood videos.

I learned to mix gesso and gel mediums to slap into the evil templates that I used reusable adhesive to keep it in place.

I broke out the gelatoes and smeared them around.

I used the entire sheet of star transfers from Studio Calico - because Wilna was all like why not. Which is cool because now I don't have a half a sheet flopping about getting in the way.

The a mix of Studio Calico; pattern papers, thickers & Tim Beck alphas from this months kit, vellum die cuts & star rubons, then some Dear Lizzy, Fancy Pants and Amy Tangerine going on.
