Rearranging things - Another purple photo

Another 8x10 backed on by 8.5x11 kraft paper
that replaced a lighthouse hanging in our kitchen
and yes, another printed purple picture
that I couldn't toss.
I had a lot of space in this photo and some
stuff that wasn't necessary so I covered it up with a tag
that holds some journaling.
You might remember this photo from our trip
this year and its also in my road trip album.
 Found some oversized title too
and why not.
Also those cute little whale stamps (gifted from Holli)
and seriously when and I'm gonna ever gonna use a whale stamp.

Rearranging things & Scrapping with Holli

We both were on a total roll scrapping and sometimes
it's fun with a friend and she has a terrific room
with lots of stuff.
Anyway, this photo was replaced by a deer photo
that is now hanging in our bathroom.
Holli stamped a few of these sunflowers for me and
I found that they are perfect for this page.
I brought my buttons galore and dumped them in the
middle of the sunflower and used
some watercolors to give it a bit more umph.
These wild horses are from Assateague and
are so beautiful in real life I would recommend putting Assateague
on your bucket list - but keep an eye on prevailing winds.
You do not want west winds blowing - they bring in the biting flies and
the horses tend to not be as available as
they are when the winds are perfect.
 I also decided that
I wanted to do another 8x10 on 12x12 as it
allows for more dodads that don't overwhelm the photo.

Turkey ribbons

I must apologize for the photo quality and since these
bad boys have been mailed - this is it.
So shock upon shock
I didn't have a turkey stamp, sticker or die cut.
No clue how that happened so I stopped by HL and picked
up the one and only turkey stamp they had.
Another shock, (I know they're coming fast) they didn't have
turkey stickers either.
Also I shocker I only have 2 granddaughters yet I
ended up with more girly colors on the turkeys.
I used water color pencils to color them in because
I was totally out of control and a danger
to all stamped turkeys using regular watercolors.

Anyhoo, if you follow Ashi (Soaphousemama) you know
I jacked these fun ribbons from her.
I wanted to change up doing the cards and I also
had the presence of mind to add
a Zot on the back to they can either wear them or
stick them somewhere.

I totally used a bunch of scraps too.
And I used punches though I did cut the banners
by hand.

Each one has their name on it by MAMBI alphas.
Keeping in touch with the grands
with snail mail.
Sometimes the old school technology works best.

Project Life card as a title

I got to use my new stamp from my pal Holli again.
I love the fonts on it -so cool
and since the page is going to different places
no worries about overusing it.
I don't think that's possible anyway.
And the chili, again was randomly die cut one day
and slapped in my box for future use.
Note to self: Glue top and bottom together prior to tossing in box.
I have been beside myself wanting to use this card.
Everybody I know LOVES their coffee and
FINALLY a photo about coffee more or less.
I did have to cut it down - as it had a border of b&w hearts
around it - that I used as part of the mat.
The heart and bow - die cut box.
Just sayin....
Because I went a smidge crazy with the mats
on the PL card, I decided not to use a mat on the photo.
Gasp. I know.
But it works and still stands out because of Miss Amelia
and friend being posers.
The PL card maybe from Paper Issues.
I try to keep stuff separate but you know how that goes.

Studio Calico for the rest, except for Shimelle sticker peeking out.

Using a Rescued Page

You may remember this page from this post.
I did rescue it from the garbage because it was to pretty
to waste it even though it annoyed me.
I decided that layers and doodads was the way to go.
And I got to use my new stamp from my pal Holli as the title.
Not to mention an adorable photo to zero in on
so the boo-boos recede into the background.

It really was too pretty to toss.
Since the pages are going into 2 different albums
for 2 different families it doesn't bother me
that they look similar.
It wouldn't bother me if they were in the same album.
Just need to keep them far far apart LOL.
It's okay to lift yourself even if its inadvertently.

Unintentional gold rush - page 2

First off I want to say that this photo makes.me.swoon. It is soooo Norman Rockwell and I'm also soooo jealous that I didn't take it.

(And the sequins are gold not orange).

I love this paper from Studio Calico. Its soooooo WOW and pretty.

Behind the photo is another transparency and I popped the pix up to give it more dimension.

And then wa-la the second gold doily. (I now have 2 more curtesy of Studio Calico for re-upping for another 6 months- I love their kits so it was a no brainer).

Of course it needed some flowers. Lots of blingy flowers from Spare Parts. And then some gold washi tape - curtesy of Studio Calico. Again. And the sequins. And actually the title - though I changed it up for the fancy gold paper because the preprinted tag wasn't snazzy enough So I made my own and used my own handwriting because stamping wasn't working out. I tucked a lil gold tag behind the flowers that can be pulled out and journaled on.

I wanted to keep the page simple and elegant to let the photo shine through.

Bananas @ U

How adorable is she.
I love bananas.
They are very good for you.
Looks like she loves them too.
Lots of Studio Calico going on here.
A mix from past kits.
Butterfly punch (not SC).
The cork camera and woodchip feathers.
And a stamped tag.
Negatives and positives.

We will be winging our way to NJ for a long weekend.
You guys have a great one.
I hope to have lots of pix and stories to scrap.
I haven't packed yet.
NOTgood.
